We need a universal DNA database
Lets start with Canada. The cost of violent crime in Canada is pegged at $8
Billion dollars a year. More than half that waste is sexual assault. If
every Canadian and every visitor to Canada had their DNA on record imagine
the impact on crime.
The logistics of tracking visitors could be problematic. To start just
take a swab and bag it. If evidence points to a visitor go back and do some
matching. Likely just knowing DNA was on file would deter most from placing

conflict - particularly during Emily Maitlis's interview with the

The end
The pool swim with the Angelitos kids this past weekend had a certain
poignancy about it. I expect there will be one more and then we'll be gone,
back to Canada to start whatever the next adventure will be.
We always knew there would be an end to our time with the orphans. I
imagine it kept the relationship at something of an arm's length from the
beginning, knowing that there was no future together that we were building

The BBC must be so frustrated this morning
Ordinarily the news that a David Cameron aide had been arrested for
anything, let alone an offence "relating to child abuse imagery", would be
headline news at the BBC.
However the PIE affair is still hanging over Labour's Deputy Leader Harriet
Harman and her husband Jack "winner of an all women's shortlist" Dromey.
Also we all remember very clearly that the BBC ignored the PIE story until
it was impossible to continue to do so.

When I heard Molly Smitten-Downes is to be our sacrificial victim entrant

Obama's administration knows that it is not adequate to launch a hot war
against Russia just because the two countries disagree about the recent

DCCC downgrades 2 of its worst recruits, Aguilar and Garrison
Today the DCCC announced its Red-to-Blue program. Not every one of Steve
Israel's ridiculous Jump Start candidates made it to the Red to Blue List
and two, empty suit Pete Aguilar (CA-31) and ex-CIA agent Kevin Strouse

As Sue has mentioned before, I've got a real phobia about watching BBC
One's *The Big Questions. *
Even the mere thought of watching the thing results in unsteadiness,
dizziness and lightheadedness, as well as nausea, sweating, heart
palpitations, shortness of breath, trembling and an upset stomach.
Still, after years of counselling, I've finally felt strong enough
emotionally to force myself to watch the closing segment of this week's
edition.

have been inundated with "troll" or "shill" activity at one time or
another. That is the main reason why I closed the comment section of RTS
down, because with most of the articles I was putting out last year we were
getting over a hundred, if not 200-300 comments, and there was so many
agents/shills/trolls hitting the site that just moderating the comments was
taking hours and hours of my time.

I don’t have an answer for this, as I’m not sure how globally integrated
Russia is in to the world economy at this juncture or vulnerable given its
fossil fuel resources, but I see that the Russian stockmarket declined this

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee seems content to waste their
resources on reactionary Blue Dog Travis Childers' hopeless attempt to win
a Senate seat in deep red Mississippi (where Obama lost with 44%) while
ignoring the best Democrat running for Senate in years, Maine's Shenna

LIGHTING THE FIRES FOR CHAOS IN UKRAINE
A couple of people have wondered if I exaggerated the possibility of war
with Russia over Ukraine. I don't think so - in fact I would suggest that
the proxy war is already underway.
Two of the first things that happened following the US led coup d'etat in
Ukraine was the "new government" declaring that Russian would be removed as
one of the official languages (Ukraine has millions of Russians in it) and
that the ban on Nazi symbols and ideology would be lifted. It cannot be

Rob Ford Goes to Hollywood
Rob Ford is gone Hollywood and is also going to the Oscars, he is quite
the actor and his performance deserves an Oscar. He has been a train-wreck
as a mayor but very entertaining. Ford does love the attention - even if
it is for drug use and crass behaviour. He must have enjoyed the limo ride
he got from late night host Jimmy Kimmel. It will be worth watching him on
Jimmy Kimmel's show tonight.
It looks he is more well-known in U.S than Canada.
