Too Nutzoid for the Nutzoid
When you've had a run-in with a particularly noxious nutbar organization,
seeing them get some comeuppance is sooo satisfying.
This just in: National Right to Life [NRCL] has named Georgia Life Alliance
as its new state affiliate. That means Georgia Right to Life is out.
The challenge came as a result of GRTL’s fierce opposition to allowing
abortion exceptions for rape and incest.
Yee-haw! Georgia Right to Life is too radical even for these bozos.
One of the central goals of the organization is the passage of a
constitutional amendment banning all abortion.

How Corporate Democrats Are Wrecking The Party Brand-- From Michigan's Senate Race To California's Secretary Of State Campaign
Gary Peters, the Democratic candidate for the Michigan Senate seat Carl
Levin is giving up, is a careerist and a New Dem with a mediocre and
distinctly uncourageous record. Look as hard as you want at the Blue
America Senate page but you will never find Gary Peters or anyone like him.
That said, his likely GOP opponent, Koch puppet candidate Terri Lynn Land,

"Men's Rights" Guys Cross the Line (Again)
People have pointed out that the so-called "Men's Rights" organizations
don't really do anything positive for themselves. For instance; they claim
that men are victims because more men have been killed as soldiers in wars
than women have been killed as soldiers in wars. Aside from the fact that
it is mostly men who start wars and who support them as voters nowadays,
I've yet to hear about a Men's Rights protest for peace. I don't tend to
see Men's Rights groups in peace coalitions.

MJ-12 and Major Contradictions
Here’s something that I have never understood. How can you hold two
beliefs that are contradictory? If one is true, then the other cannot be
true. They cancel out one another.
Here’s what I mean. For the sake of argument, let’s say that the Eisenhower
Briefing Document (EBD) received by Jaime Shandera is authentic (which
means only for this point). It tells of two crashes, one on the Brazel
ranch and the other in December 1950 in the El Indio – Guerrero area near
the Texas – Mexico border. It tells us that four “human-like beings” had

Left Unity and the Labour Movement
Activists gathering in Manchester today for Left Unity's national

It took a single tweet from superstar revolutionary Russell Brand for LU to

Ever since Medicare was created in 1965, the federal government has

Nate Silver, Roger Pielke, and journalism ethics
Nate Silver is a statistician who has analyzed baseball and elections. I
don't know him but it seems that some other people do. At any rate, he
started a new expensive online news server FiveThirtyEight.com (the number
is 538). Some mostly left-wing pundits have criticized the new server and
made its childhood a rocky experience.
The first study he happened to publish on that server was one by Dr Roger

alarmists] who does research into damages caused by meteorological
phenomena:

Saudi Arabia And Pakistan Are Paying A Political Price For Leading The Talibanization of Syria
*This photo is from a protest in Pakistan against US attacks on Syria that
was held last September. Since then, Pakistan's government has provided
weapons and training to the foreign terrorists in Syria who are kidnapping
innocent people and massacring peaceful villagers because of their
religious beliefs, or lack thereof, and their ethnicity.*

and most short-sighted leaders in the Middle East. Naturally, they won't

"The Decline of Critical Thinking"
*"The Decline of Critical Thinking"*
by Lawrence Davidson
"In 2008 Rick Shenkman, the Editor-in-Chief of the History News Network,
published a book entitled "Just How Stupid Are We? Facing the Truth about
the American Voter" (Basic Books). In it he demonstrated, among other
things, that most Americans were: (1) ignorant about major international
events, (2) knew little about how their own government runs and who runs
it, (3) were nonetheless willing to accept government positions and
policies even though a moderate amount of critical thought suggested they
were bad for the country... more »

"Once upon a time a great tribe of people lived in a world far away from
ours. Whether far away in space, or in time, or even outside of time, we do
not know. They lived in a state of enchantment and joy that few of us today
dare to believe could exist, except in those exceptional peak experiences
when we glimpse the true potential of life and mind.
One day the shaman of the tribe called a meeting. They gathered around him,
and he spoke very solemnly. "My friends," he said, "there is a world that

"Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl is among the most
influential works of psychiatric literature since Freud. The book begins
with a lengthy, austere, and deeply moving personal essay about Frankl's
imprisonment in Auschwitz and other concentration camps for five years, and
his struggle during this time to find reasons to live. The second part of
the book, called "Logotherapy in a Nutshell," describes the
psychotherapeutic method that Frankl pioneered as a result of his

Not the whole title. Just part of it. Technically just the word "Words" is

Everything else is original. Except the statistics, which I found.

steal the title of someone else's work, change the title in some way, and
claim it as your own witty way of writing an idea.

Current Greece Bailout Scheme as of March 28 , 2014 - As a general statement , Greece will get just enough money to payoff the latest round of debt to the EFSF and IMF - then will be allowed to wander aimlessly in its Zombie state until the next loan disbursement come due - then it will get just enough to pay that debt off as well.......of course we are soon to reach the end of the line under the current rescue scheme in place for Greece ( end of Q4 2014 ) ...... Which makes the Greece Supreme Court decision ostensibly ruling against bank confiscations quite interesting - assuming the decision is actually allowed to stand .....Meanwhile , the current Greek Government has high confidence regarding its latest reform bill ( greek citizens corn-holed by legislation ) , we shall see if this high confidence is warranted by the end of the weekend..... meanwhile greek auxiliary pensions take a big whack ( thanks Troika and current Greek Government ) .....Greek bill gives rescue fund legal cover for bank capital boosts ( banksters always get taken care of .. ) ..... New reports are claiming al-Qaeda’s senior leadership is behind the recent
deployment of seasoned jihadists from Pakistan into Syria, and they are
part of “long-term plans” that have little to do with Syria itself.
The focus rather is on something else Syria’s civil war has attracted,

The Growth of Pass-Through Entities
Over the past few decades, there has been an amazing shift in how
businesses are taxed. See the figure below, which is from CBO. Businesses
are more and more taxed as pass-through entities, where the income shows up

This phenomenon complicates the interpretation of tax return data. For
example, when one looks at the growth of the 1 percent, or the 0.1 percent,
