Guest Post - Reducing the footprint of logistics
Small Footprints at Reduce Footprints - 31 minutes ago
The burden of logisticsLogistics is a notoriously environmentally
unfriendly system, using heavy good vehicles and transport systems to move
goods, services and people around the world. The carbon created is
staggering and impacts the environment in a huge way. From moving
containers across the world through containerised shipping or moving people
from point to point, carbon creation is inevitable.
However there are many ways that the logistics industry is trying to reduce
its carbon footprint, as it understands the need to protect the ecological

It’s also a problem which infests the journalistic treatment of academic

The problem doesn’t quite have a name. So let’s get started with a tease

At one point, Chris Hayes teased an upcoming segment. This is what he said:

getting something out of it.* I’ll explain coming up.

This summer I took a trip with my mom and my husband to New York. It ties
with London as the best trip I have ever taken. My husband had a conference
during the day, so my mom and I spent all day being tourists in the city
and then in the evening, after my mom had turned in, my husband and I would

The Met and had our portraits draw in Central Park.
I don't love scrapbooking, but, I didn't want to lose any of memorabilia

Born in Spain in 1542, John learned the importance of self-sacrificing love
from his parents. His father gave up wealth, status, and comfort when he

father died, his mother kept the destitute family together as they wandered
homeless in search of work. These were the examples of sacrifice that John

It’s a lesson every big city planner needs to learn too:
Cities are made from the bottom up. They’re organic. They develop with each
individual decision about each individual building, letting the energy of a

to develop in a way that reflects the reasons for that valuation.
It’s the release of an abundant creative energy reflected in concrete form
in every great city.
