Is Obama Turning Earth Over To Aliens?
I can't wait to see which Republican troll-- I'd bet on fake preacher Bryan
Fischer or one of two Texas congressmen, Louie Gohmert or domestic
terrorist Steve Stockman-- is the first to accuse Obama of being in thrall
to aliens from Mars. The proof> His unjustified anger at Ed Snowden may be
due to the expose of Area 51, where the U.S. works jointly with aliens on
various projects. Before there was a Tea Party, the activists who dominate
it were busy with this kind of thing:
My theory is this that

Agent Provocateurs In Egypt? A Look At The Shadowy Elements In Pro-Muslim Brotherhood Protests
It is a known fact that agent provocateurs are used by all despotic
governments, especially military governments, to demonize protests and
characterize protesters as hoodlums and terrorists.
When there are popular, anti-government protests in police states, state
security forces dress in civilian clothing and doing heinous things like
cause destruction to private property in order to delegitimize the protests
and justify the full use of state violence against the opposition.
Rarely do governments practice restraint against demonized protesters when
they believe that they have public... more »

Innocence of the child, fragility of a kitten, both can be sculpted into

It amazes me how the poorest and hungriest children of the world will feed,

would rather starve than watch an innocent feline waste away, is it
something born to us, ingrained at birth, the need to care for and protect

DID EGYPTIAN GOVERNMENT MASS EXECUTE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD PRISONERS WHILE BEING TRANSPORTED IN A SEALED TRUCK?
Some 38 Muslim Brotherhood prisoners today died after being asphyxiated by
tear gas while locked inside the back of a truck. While the Egyptian
authorities claim that the prisoners died after they took a guard hostage
in an attempt to escape, the Muslim Brotherhood through a ‘legal source’
has accused the Egyptian authorities of deliberately murdering the prisoners.
I find it very difficult to believe that one guard would be left alone in
the back of a truck to look after 38 prisoners. And, even if it happened
they way the Egyptian authorities tell it, then what happened to the gua... more »

“We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together

Our dried voices, when

In our dry cellar
Shape without form, shade without color,
Paralyzed force, gesture without motion;
Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom
Remember us - if at all - not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men

“I Love You, Mr Lange”
Sean Plunket rather overstates his case about the magnitude of last last

it did make me re-watch the debate, which was fascinating after having not

This was truly a historic moment in New Zealand affairs—the moment when NZ
turned from Muldoonist despair to a hope that Lange was so good at
articulating, a moment Muldoon himself seemed to recognise in rolling over

Northerntruthseeker Rant For Sunday, August 18th, 2013
Sunday again... And it is time for my weekly rant....
There are so many things going on right now around the world that it is
tough to know where to begin... I thought I would begin with the massive
upheaval that is now going on in Egypt....When I first saw that Egypt was

Republicans Hope To Learn How An Anti-Hispanic Reactionary Wins In A Majority-Hispanic New Mexico House District

former House seat two years later (2010) by defeating, 55-44%, a very weak

practically no-knead, raised in the crock pot on low, then basted with

threat to liberty
The American approach to law enforcement was forged by the experience of
revolution. Emerging as they did from the shadow of British rule, the
country’s founders would likely have viewed police, as they exist today, as
a standing army, and therefore a threat to liberty. Even so, excessive
force and disregard for the Bill of Rights have become epidemic in today’s
world. According to civil liberties reporter Radley Balko, these are all
symptoms of a generation-long shift to increasingly aggressive,
militaristic, and arguably unconstitutional policing—one that would have

Distributive Generation and Nuclear Power
Amory Lovins popularized the idea of distributive electrical generation as
a foil to the emerging nuclear power industry. Lovins argued that what was
needed was not large nuclear generation facilities, but small localized
generating facilities that drew their power from nature. Such facilities,
Lovins maintained, would be low cost and more reliable than large
generating facilities such as nuclear plants. Unfortunately, Lovins did
not subject his ideas to rigorous examination. Had he done so, he would
have discovered that his idea of distributive electrical generation would

Dapu Demolition Protests Continue

Heard about 20,000 were out tonight protesting the Dapu demolition, which

Those who continue to tell us that Social Security must be cut (together with other government safety nets) as part of an austerity measure to reduce the deficit in order to restart the economy are either idiots or sociopaths -- particularly if they persist in promulgating this mantra now that the the national deficit is rapidly heading toward zero!!! Moreover, ecomomists who are not whoring for the rich who wish to rob the poor are in agreement that the only way to restart the economy now is by renewed government spending.

In Colorado, the big fraud in "voter fraud" is once again voter-fraud fraud
*Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler: liar or loon?*
*by Ken*
We know that the Right has excellent skills in picking its rhetorical
battles: the kinds of things that will inflame public sentiment regardless
of the truth of them, which usually ranges from "not much" to
"undetectable." And one especially clever example has been "voter fraud."
It sounds like an issue that strikes at the heart of democracy: all those

Progressive Music Classics. "Running Gun Blues" by David Bowie

*By MARC McDONALD*
Welcome to another edition of Progressive Music Classics.
David Bowie has never particularly been known for being either angry or
political in his music. But in "Running Gun Blues," his powerful 1970 song
about Vietnam, Bowie got very angry and very political.
Released only a year after the My Lai Massacre became widely known to the
U.S. public, "Running Gun Blues" depicts the frightening image of a
bloodthirsty soldier on the loose in Vietnam. The song appeared on Bowie's
excellent (but poor-selling) The Man Who Sold the World.

Egypt aftermath - examining the situation after the Wednesday massacre..... Did Egypt Junta Chief General El - Sisi refuse to take President Obama's phone call at the height of Wednesday's violence ? Debka says that is the case....Very recent updates in the exceedingly fluid situation as Friday protests from competing sides ( Pro Morsiand vs Tamarod camps ) loom and the potential for more bloodshed is quite high.... worldwide criticism , outrage and reactions , UN consultations , official death toll close to 700 from Wednesday's massacre , relatively lame US response panned , Turkey taking a firmer stand than the US in consistently criticizing the Military response to the ongoing Pro Morsi protest , marveling at how impotent the US appears - Saudi and Qatar financial aid to Egyptian military has trumped any fear General El- Sisi had of President Obama , Congress or US disapproval of their actions - US looks quite impotent regarding Egypt ! Coupled with impotence , US policies are a worst of all possible worlds set of policies as no one is happy with the US right now ! .

victory and that Obama's popularity is sinking fast-- among Democrats as
well as others. And, of course, the Republican state legislatures have
gerrymandered districts all over the country-- particularly in North
Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Georgia and
Wisconsin-- to mak... more »
