An Example Of The Destruction In The "Reconciliation" Bill: Public Housing Bailout
* Even this late in the process, it’s still impossible for a mere member of the public to find out in much detail what all may be buried in the massive “budget reconciliation” bill now making its way through Congress. And the whole thing may yet get stopped, or substantially reduced, by the unexpected good sense of a couple of Democratic Senators (or even just one). * Nevertheless, there is enough general information about what is planned by the bill’s proponents to give us some insights into the economic wreckage that could be coming if these people get their way. * Among things in... read more

Ghastly, Horrific, Prison Slaughter In Ecuador
Many of my readers probably have seen in the daily news cycle that yesterday there was a hideous, bloody, prison riot here in Ecuador. In reality, it was far worse, and much more grisly than is being reported in the corporate news media in the USSA. The official death count is now at 118, with 79 wounded. The number of dead will almost certainly go higher in the coming days. Many of the dead were decapitated, dismembered, and/or disemboweled. It was such a hellish, demonic slaughter, that the coroner and morgue personnel are having a very hard time identifying the dead, due to the... read more

*Warfare History Network* *History, Africa* The British desert commanders needed to drastically change their field gun tactical doctrine because of the disadvantage under which the Eighth Army operated. *Key Point: *The often see-saw action across the North African littoral from 1940-1942 was fostered in part by both the British and Axis forces racing to innovate and implement novel tactics and upgraded weaponry. That mistake has diminished the appeal of our concepts and, in some circles, made us seem irrelevant. We need new terminology before our movement suffers death by […] The post Don’t Call Mother Nature a Sink! appeared on Sustainable Pulse. read more

The Battleship Era Sank Along With HMS Prince of Wales
*Robert Farley* *Royal Navy, Asia* Prince of Wales and Repulse were the sacrifice that opened the door to the new military reality. *Here's What You Need to Remember: *Military technological revolutions rarely happen all at one time; they generally result from the evolution of several unrelated trends that “suddenly” result in new military realities. Seventy five years ago, the Western Allies suffered a catastrophic defeat in the Pacific. Japanese aircraft devastated an allied naval force, sinking the most effective battleships in the fleet. Japan’s aerial victory opened much of... read more

Harvard Business School (HBS) has moved its first-year and some second-year MBA students to remote learning after an outbreak of COVID. What's remarkable is that most college students and staff at Harvard (95% students and 96% employees) are vaccinated against the coronavirus. Is Harvard therefore implicitly admitting that vaccine effectiveness has waned to the poin... read more

Present arrives from death row at San Quentin
A nice surprise arrived in the mail today from my phone-friend James P. Anderson who is on death row at San Quentin prison in California. He told me a week ago to expect a present from him in the mail. He's called me a couple times to find out if it had arrived yet. No, I said, not yet - all the time wondering what might be coming. Today an envelope arrived from California with a nice card and the domino that had been transformed into a 'Keep Space 4 Peace Week' gift. It's a key chain pendant - one of many made by the jailed hands of James. It even has my initials - BKG - brand... read more
