MORALES: OBAMA SHOULD BE PUT ON TRIAL
RT reports:
In his dramatic speech in New York, Bolivian President Evo Morales called
for the UN to be moved out of the US and for Barack Obama to be tried for
crimes against humanity. Speaking to RT, Morales explained his
controversial proposals.
In his most controversial demand, Morales said that Obama should face an
international trial with human rights watchdogs among the judges. The
Bolivian president accused his US counterpart of instigating conflicts in
the Middle East to make the region more volatile and to increase the US's
grip on the natural resources it abounds in. He... more »

The second Permaculture Principle is called "Catch and Store Energy." As
with most of the Principles, if you look for it in the Eightfold Path, it

day and keeps you warm for at least part of the night, that captured
sunshine is income to you, and therefore part of your livelihood. Designing
the house to do that is acting according to both Buddhist and Permaculture

Why is the International Community Protecting the Wrong Norm in Syria?
Former Duck guest blogger Betcy Jose has published an excellent Foreign

operation in Syria to protect the chemical weapons taboo, while perversely
ignoring, even permitting, the violation of a far more foundational norm:
the norm of civilian immunity. The whole piece is great but

Court Says Lactation Is Related to Pregnancy, Refrains From Saying, "Duh"

Lactation not related to pregnancy and childbirth? Really?

related to pregnancy and is therefore covered by Title VII. EEOC reports

Why SAT scores have declined.
Sent to the Christian Science Monitor
There are two possible reasons for the decline of SAT scores ("As

One possibility, suggested by FairTest, is that the massive invasion of
high-stakes tests that began with No Child Left Behind has not worked.
Another, according to an analysis by Seton Hall Professor Christopher

wealthier families achieve higher SAT scores. As we all know, poverty has

by ĆirePort
Step-ups in frequencies of Gaia ascension protocols occurs in this
moment-to-moment as humanity (small 'h') releases grasp on outdated
"paradigms of sleep".
All Gaia ascension protocols are up-stepped. Without exception.
Process toward finalization of Gaia Ascension readiness continues and all
of hu-manity as well as Hue-manity approach full consciousness.
Seeking of lower D solutions ceases as all Gaia inhabitants assert from
"fullness of consciousness" states of Being.

Mr. Nielsen Goes “Old School”; Hates It
I feel bad. I kind of lost it with one of my science classes the other day.
I didn’t freak out. I didn’t actually lose my cool. I just had to change
the lesson midway through and go all “old school” on their butts. That’s
how the cool people used to say it. I think. […]
Thank goodness the NSA had the sense to put funnyman Art Buchwald on the watch list it compiled for President Johnson
*The great Art Buchwald*
*"During his later life, [Art] Buchwald, an old-school liberal who died in
2007, at the age of eighty-one, spent a lot of time kvetching about the
fact that, unlike Mary McGrory and Daniel Schorr, he didn't make it onto
Richard Nixon's famous White House enemies list. But his spirit can rest

*"Obamacare's Average Monthly Cost Across U.S.: $328"*
By Caroline Humer
"Americans will pay an average premium of $328 monthly for a mid-tier
health insurance plan when the Obamacare health exchanges open for
enrollment next week, and most will qualify for government subsidies to
lower that price, the federal government said on Wednesday. The figure,
based on data for approved insurance plans in 48 states, is the broadest
national estimate for the cost of coverage when President Barack Obama's
healthcare reform law takes full effect next year. The prices of the new

WHO has identified H7N9 as a dangerous virus
Influenza A virus subtype H7N9
WikipediA
H7N9 is a new bird flu strain of the species Influenza virus A (avian
influenza virus or bird flu virus). Avian influenza A H7 viruses normally
circulate amongst avian populations with some variants known to
occasionally infect humans. An H7N9 virus was first reported to have
infected humans in 2013 in China. Most of the reported cases of human
infection have resulted in severe respiratory illness. In the month
following the report of the first case, more than 100 people had been
infected, an unusually high rate for a new infection; ... more »

the time of the Buddha. The book, Hesse's ninth novel, was written in
German, in a simple yet powerful and lyrical style. It was first published

An excerpt from, *"Syrian Kurds kill al-Qaeda leader near Aleppo"* by Zeina
Karam and Albert Aji, The Times of Israel, September 26, 2013:
The ISIL commander was killed in clashes with Kurdish militiamen in Aleppo
province, activists said. Fighting between the two sides in predominantly
Kurdish regions of the north has gone on for months, killing hundreds of
people on both sides.
The man, identified by the Observatory as a UAE national and the emir — or
local commander — of Aleppo, died Wednesday night.

RUPERT MURDOCH SET TO PLUNDER SYRIAN RESOURCES
The Golan Heights is territory occupied by Israel. It actually belongs to
Syria and its resources, therefore, belong to the Syrian people. Despite
the fact that Israel has occupied the Golan Heights ever since the 1967 Six
Day War and unilaterally annexed it in 1981 (a move condemned by the United
Nations Security Council (UNSC) in Resolution 497), Israel nonetheless is
likely to give oil drilling rights to an American resources company which
is part owned by Israel Energy Initiatives. That company is Genie Israel

Father Forgive Us - For We have ALEC Sinned
The question has arisen multiple times across tweetdom lately
Do we forgive someone after they spent time or money doing the evil deeds
of the American Legislative Exchange Council?
If a legislators drops ALEC - do they get to repent?
If a corporation quits in 2012 - does that automatically wipe clean the
slate of financial support they have given to ALEC - financial support
that got us to where we are today in relation to the evilness of ALEC.
The topic came up again today in a tweet roll.

Turning Out The Base-- Or Turning Off The Base
The DCCC's Steve Israel doesn't give base voters a reason to turn out; he
gives them reason to stay home on election day
Wednesday, Markos wrote an exceptionally well-thought-out post on Kos, Democrats'
Biggest Challenge Is Getting Their Base Voters To Vote. He worries that
historically the party's strongest-performing base groups-- African
Americans, Latinos, Asians, young voters, and single women-- don't show up
for midterms. "[T]he problem with our base turnout," he explains, "isn't

Frost/Sirhan
Frost/Sirhan: The Full Interview. from Spike1138 on Vimeo.
It is well-noted that Sirhan's rather meek and pathetic nature makes him
his own worst enemy sometimes; it is also well noted that Frost is NOT AT
ALL sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinian people.
It is of course physically impossible for Sirhan to have shot and killed
Bobby Kennedy, for reasons which are well-recorded previously.
But the nature of Sirhan's personality, coupled with his extreme
suggestibility produced a lengthy period during the 1980s during which he
allowed himself to be persuaded that he must have... more »

Three unfortunate New Zealand traits were in evidence after yesterday’s
loss, almost outweighing the admirable New Zealand traits otherwise so much
in evidence over the previous nineteen days in the teams of both boats
(let’s not forget, NZers were everywhere): the ability to put together
winning teams, the ability to put together winning technology, the passion
to pursue excellence, and the ability to *win*. (Yes, plenty of NZers were
on the winning team, in all of the sailing, technology and organisational
fronts. Just enjoy that.)

Detroit bankruptcy item of note - Detroit routinely raided its pension funds to award extra cash – including bonuses dubbed “the 13th check” – to both retirees and active employees. These payments were far in excess of the city’s negotiated obligations and hidden from both the public and Detroit’s bond investors. And that's one reason they are broke !

system. The shadow banks, although free of government regulation, are
propped up by a hidden government guarantee in the form of safe harbor

The result is to create perverse incentives for the financial system to
