There’s Big Money in Global Warming Alarmism
[image: global warming money, gas mask, businessman, global warming alarmism] A sociologist with no training in the physical sciences is puzzled why most Americans think the world is not doomed by global warming. Something To Be Thankful For... And Who's Still Against Decriminalizing Marijuana?
This has been quite the year for me. Last October I was diagnosed with a rare but treatable form of cancer, Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Lucky for me I found an amazing doctor who's one of the specialists in this disease and she fought it, apparently successfully. While she fought that,I did my best to survive the treatment, treatment that was incredibly intense, in some ways the worst thing I had ever experienced in my life. Chemotherapy is no walk in the park and the "side effects: can be devastating. The cancer is in remission and the effects of the stem cell replacement are wearing of... more »
Nov. 26: We live at a turning point in history....
....and it's not a good idea to live at a turning point in history. The fighting in the middle east has huge stakes for the U.S. and Russia. The U.S. has made it clear it is looking for world domination. That's the principle put forward by Project for the New American Century. There can be do doubt about it. It's easy to find on the web. It's a scheme developed by, among others, Jeb Bush. It's often spoken of as American Exceptionalism, the belief that the U.S. has the right to intervene anywhere in the world, regardless of the law. It has the right to invade for any reason - or for... more »
The New Hockey Stick - Upside Down
What a terrible drawing.....Amateur. But is it "Drawing the wrong conclusion?" His arguments re the comparisons of false diagrams is worth reading (see Quadrant -HERE) However, leaving aside his discussions of Keynesian Economics, the article harshly criticises the Mann Hockey stick. Kates also refers to the fact that Michael Mann crossed swords with Mark Steyn. Steyn is one of the great climate change sceptics. Mann is suing M... more »

There are moments in which we feel we are seeking something that is not meant for us, knocking on doors that don’t open, waiting for miracles that don’t manifest themselves. Fortunately that is the way things are – if everything went the way we wanted, soon we would no longer have anything to write about, nothing to guide our daily thoughts. CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Recreates First Moments Of Universe
The CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) breaks a new record and recreates a moment in time that last existed theoretically at the birth of the universe, momentarily after the Big Bang. LHC smashed together lead-ions at 1045 trillion electron-volts, energies twice as large as anything seen previously. Temperatures of several trillion degrees were reached, about a quarter of a million times those at the core of the Sun. The high energy collisions reveal the state of matter that existed shortly after the Big Bang took place, a state of quark-gluon plasma. RT reports: Scientists at CERN ar... more »

Quote of the Day: For our American friends …
*“Thanksgiving is a typically American holiday. In spite of its religious form (giving thanks to God for a good harvest), its essential, secular meaning is a celebration of successful production. It is a producers’ holiday. The lavish meal is a symbol of the fact that abundant consumption is the result and reward of production. Abundance is (or was and ought to be) America’s pride—just as it is the pride of American parents that their children need never know starvation."* ~ Ayn Rand *BONUS POST*: The true but little-told story of how Thanksgiving very nearly didn’t happen . . . ... more »

As long as Woodrow Wilson is finally getting blowback for his racist pathologies, what's to prevent the nation going full Howard Zinn on this special day? We are long overdue for a factual correction to the entirety of our pathological revisionist history. We need a giant group nudge into some pretty harsh realities, if we have any hope of overcoming the hideous dogma of American exceptionalism and endless war. Why not to get more girls into STEM
Shaun Maguire, a Caltech PhD student, wrote one of the hyper-PC texts How to get more girls into STEM that simply drive me up the wall. It is marginally understandable when a female feminist – whose broad framework of thinking is in between a clever man and an average ape and who is driven primarily by efforts to increase her own influence – emits this insane ideological junk. But when a man who managed to become a Caltech PhD student and who calls himself an entrepreneur does the same, it's breathtaking.
