The Poet: William Stafford, "The Gift"
*"The Gift"*
by William Stafford
"Time wants to show you a different country. It's the one
that your life conceals, the one waiting outside
when curtains are drawn, the one Grandmother hinted at
in her crochet design, the one almost found
over at the edge of the music, after the sermon.
It's the way life is, and you have it, a few years given.
You get killed now and then, violated
in various ways. (And sometimes it's turn about.)
You get tired of that. Long-suffering, you wait
and pray, and maybe good things come - maybe
the hurt slackens and you hardly feel it any more.

China’s new Shenyang J-31 stealth fighter — making its debut next week at

The J-31 is China’s latest crack at developing a modern so-called

How Many Fighters Does The islamic State Have?
Reuters
*ISIS Has 9,000 ‘Core Fighters.’ Or Maybe 17,000. Or Possibly 30,000. --
Tim Mak, Daily Beast*
Another day, another American estimate of ISIS’s strength that’s vastly
different from the last guess.
How many fighters are the U.S. and its allies combatting in its new war
against ISIS? American military and intelligence leaders have only the
vaguest of notions. Estimates of ISIS’s strength from these leaders have
varied wildly, and now the military commander in charge of degrading and
destroying the extremist group says it could be as low as just 9,000 “core
fighters.”

By Maia Szalavitz
“How does fear alter memory? A new study reveals that it can literally
change our perception, a process that may help researchers better
understand post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), other anxiety disorders

doesn't tend to stay restricted to one type of scary experience. For
example, the sound of a backfiring car may make a combat veteran dive for
cover, even though he knows he's no longer on the battlefield and even
though the sound he heard is differe... more »

BAGHDAD — The extremists of the Islamic State appeared unstoppable after
their sudden blitz through Iraq this summer, with its battle-hardened

Today, roughly a third of Iraq is dotted by active battle fronts, with

The Morality of Capitalism?
Ayn Rand will likely be required reading soon in Amerika.....The bible of
friendly fascism... the three-piece suit variety.
Try reading this book instead - it illuminates the increasing collusion
between Big Government and Big Business to "manage" our society in the
interests of the elite. One of the most important books I ever read was Friendly
Fascism: The New Face of Power in America by Bertram Gross.
The absolute best rant for the day...
perhaps the entire year.

So Now We’re Really Effed – By CW
I was fairly happy to see all the Republican gains on Tuesday night—until I
saw Kevin McCarthy tell Megyn Kelly that the House did not want to repeal
Obamacare until they had something to replace it with. He said that on an
election night of a Republican landslide when almost ALL of them winning
ran against Obama and Obamacare. What just happened?
At first, I just rolled my eyes. Then, my blood boiled. Then, I exploded. *read

5 Ways to Get Active With Your Kids
As a mom of two, I am finding it harder than ever to get active. Although I
have always been in generally good shape, I have never been a runner or an

took me just over four years. It was long, hard and not very fun. I was
grateful to lose the weight, but frustrated by the means.
At the beginning of the year, my husband decided in an effort to feel
healthier he wanted to shed a few pounds, he went about it in a completely
different way than I did. He involved us, we played as a family as we

[image: Slava class CG]The flagship of Russia’s Black Sea fleet is
currently in the South China Sea with plans to conduct air defense and
“rocket, artillery and torpedo weapons,” drills in a rare visit to the
region, according to an announcement issued Wednesday by the Russian
Ministry of Defense.
The 11,500-ton Slava-class cruiser Moscow (or Moskva) left Singapore after
a port call to conduct the training exercises in an unspecified area of the
South China Sea in the last few days, read a translation of the statement.

Fighter jet drones move closer as BAE and Dassault link up
[image: Unmanned fighter drone]Drones that could eventually replace the
current generation of jet fighters have moved a step closer after BAE
Systems and Dassault Aviation won a £120m contract.
Britain’s BAE and France’s Dassault have signed a two-year joint contract
with the UK and French governments to look at what would be needed to build
such an aircraft.
The deal confirms the Anglo-French agreement announced at the Farnborough

US Pilot: Thanks To Espionage, Chinese Stealth Fighters Could Match The F-35
[image: J-31 Gyrfalcon]China is set to debut its new Shenyang J-31 stealth
fighter at the Zhuihai international airshow next week. Although the
fighter's exact specifications are unknown, it could be a match for the
F-22 and the F-35, Dave Majumdar writes for USNI News citing several US
military officials and pilots.
This sense of the capabilities of the J-31 are largely based on the
successes China has had in industrial espionage against US targets.

Model shows possible Algerian frigate armament
[image: MEKO A-200 model]More details of the frigates that German company
ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) is building for Algeria have emerged
over the last month that suggest they will be very heavily armed.
IHS Jane's reported on 5 April 2012 that a deal had been concluded on 26
March and covered the delivery of two vessels that would be similar to the
MEKO A-200-class frigates that TKMS built for South Africa, but would be
armed with Saab RBS15 Mk3 anti-ship missiles instead of Exocets and
Rheinmetall MLG 27 mm guns instead of two 20 mm and a twin 35 mm.

Has Washington Just Shot Itself in the Oily Foot?
*November 11, 2014* (William Engdahl - NEO) - By now even the New York
Times is openly talking about the secret Obama Administration strategy of
trying to bankrupt Russia by using its oil-bloated Bedouin bosom buddy,
Saudi Arabia, to collapse the world price of oil. However, it’s beginning
to look like the neo-conservative Russia-haters and Cold war wanna-be hawks
around Barack Obama may have just shot themselves in their oily foot. As I
referred to it in an earlier article, their oil price strategy is basically
stupid. Stupid, as all consequences have not been taken into account. Ta... more »

Three picked for £300M BAE submarine base
Three contractors have been appointed by BAE Systems as framework
contractors on the £300M revamp of its submarine site, in
Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.
The eight-year programme involves the redevelopment of the base in
preparation for the building of a replacement for the Vanguard class
submarines, as part of the renewal of the UK’s nuclear deterrent.
Costain, Morgan Sindall, and Shepherd will carry out the work, which
involves project delivery on operational sites and integration of works
into existing submarine build programmes. Work will commence in early 2015.

The day before yesterday (Nov 4) I posted a YouTube discussion of the rigging of the silver metal market and why we should buy physical silver when the price has been forced to be so insanely cheap. I was confident that this was reliable info because the lead reporter, Dave Kranzler, had previously worked with Paul Craig Roberts on this subject. Then yesterday (Nov 5) I received the treatise below jointly composed by PCR and Kranzler. My reading is that now is the time to buy physical gold, and especially silver, to hedge against losing our shirts when the dollar crashes, as it must ...likely devaluing many of our nest eggs in the financial markets.

Poroshenko insisted that the move was done to “repel possible attacks” by

"All will come again into its strength:
the fields undivided, the waters undammed,

And in the valleys, people as strong and varied as the land.
And no churches where God
