Is our galactic black hole a neutrino factory?
When I was giving a black hole talk two days ago, I would describe

Black Hole Simulation
I think after around ninety years, a convincing simulation was about due.
I do think that we will find something much different, but at least we can
dismiss the conceptualized black hole. It is certainly not black. Throw
in mass ejection in the form of decaying photonic energy and it will be a
blindingly hot spot.
At least they have understood that the surrounding space will also be full
of orbiting material that will certainly emit light. This shows what that
should look like.
This should also reopen the discussion and get plenty of simulations out
there as well.

What Gardasil did to me: POTS and a Pacemaker
By Alicia Koeppel
Tucson Arizona
When I was 20 years old, I was working as a certified pharmacy technician.
I was very healthy, athletic and active. I looked forward to my future.
Gardasil was approved by the FDA in June of 2006. That December, one week
before my 21st birthday, I received my first of three injections. I have
not been the same person since then.
My first symptoms were fatigue, dizziness, and chest pains. One month after
the first dose (January 2007), I was transported to the ... more »

Lightnings may increase by 12% per 1 °C of warming
David M. Romps, Jacob T. Seeley (Berkeley), David Vollaro, and John
Molinari (Albany) published a report in Nature whose title reads
Projected increase in lightning strikes in the United States due to global
warming
that was quoted in hundreds of media outlets.
Let me tell you: I find this number conceivable.
They decided that the lightning frequency is approximately equal to the
product of the precipitation rate and a potential energy (CAPE). It
probably isn't exact but it's probably good enough for some estimates.
Combined with some empirical data, 1 °C of warming adds 12% to t... more »

Iran Airs A Video Of Its RQ-170 Clone In Flight But Critics Are Labeling It As A Fake

Three years ago, a stealthy Air Force RQ-170 Sentinel drone crashed in
eastern Iran, highlighting the U.S. government’s surveillance efforts there
and inflaming tensions between the two countries. It appeared to mark the
first time that a U.S. drone had fallen into enemy hands.
Iranian officials now say that recovery has paid off. They just released
video they claim shows a new Iranian drone reverse-engineered from the
RQ-170 lost in 2011. That aircraft sustained little damage when it crashed,
