The Bucyrus Erie 3850-B Power Shovel named "Big Brother" went to work next door to Paradise Fossil Plant for Peabody Coal Company's Sinclair Surface Mine in 1962. When it started work it was received with grand fanfare and was the Largest Shovel in The World with a bucket size of 115 cubic yards. After it finished work in the mid 1980's, it was buried in a pit on the mine's property. It remains there still today. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Dark matter wars are over: LUX safely excludes all the hints

Today, we learned that LUX has instantly become the clear leader of the

methods, sensitivity, clever calibration, and so on. Some of the magic of
this experiment is the accurate localization of the nuclear events inside

Both of Maine's congressmembers are Democrats-- and one, Chellie Pingree,

The Truth Seeker - Daniel Bushell - OBAMA AND BUSH ADMINISTRATION TO BE ARRESTED !
Mike Philbin at PROGNOSIS II - 22 hours ago
Russia Today -> The Truth Seeker -> Daniel Bushell -> reports that war
crimes lawyer Professor Francis Boyle (and fellow law scholars around the
world) is pushing for the arrest of the Bush Team and the Obama Nobel Peace
Prize Winner, for war crimes and profiteering from invasion.
We must now call for the INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION OF THE 9/11 EVENT, as
it's been fundamental in the Patriot Act nonsense that's ruining what's
left of this 'free planet' since 2001.
We don't need no Stinking Corporate War Empire on this FREE PLANET, stop
voting in these psychopaths.

Gee, if only other people ever addressed history as so revealing of today's
dilemmas. Turns out that Texas still wins the poll as the easiest state in
which to take advantage of idiots. Although Alan Greenspan runs a close
second. Pay close attention to this detail (if you've got a moment of
patience left) as it makes the difference in understanding what the

Someone commented recently that she maybe she was too young and naive at
the time but she didn’t recall so much controversy resulting from the
publication of the 1989 NCTM Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School
Mathematics. What follows is in part my reply and resulting reflections.
No, there wasn’t so much controversy at first. It […]
The Gender Similarities Hypothesis

The Gender Similarities Hypothesis Hyde, Janet Shibley *American
Psychologist*, Vol 60(6), Sep 2005
The differences model, which argues that males and females are vastly
different psychologically, dominates the popular media. Here, the author
advances a very different view, the gender similarities hypothesis, which
holds that males and females are similar on most, but not all,
psychological variables. Results from a review of 46 meta-analyses support
the gender similarities hypothesis. Gender differences can vary
substantially in magnitude at different ages and depend on the context... more »
Did Nature Bless You With Progressive Predispositions Or Were You Doomed From Birth To Be A Conservative?

Over the weekend, *Time* Magazine published a mood map-- "an interactive
guide to the United States of Attitude." A multinational team based at
Cambridge and "using personality test data from over one million people,
researchers have identified three distinct personality regions in the
country-- "friendly and extroverted," "relaxed and creative" and
"temperamental and uninhibited." OK… so West Virginia is the most neurotic
state, Utah is the most agreeable and the folks of Wisconsin are the
country's most extroverted… For conscientiousness, South Carolina takes the

THIS Is Why I Moderate All Comments: Examples of JIDF/Hasbara "Comments" To My Site
Northerntruthseeker at Northerntruthseeker - 1 day ago
There have been many that say that I should change the format of my comment
section and turn it into an "open forum" to discuss some of the material I
post here.... I have always refused to take my comment section in that
direction, primarily due to the incessant stupid attacks from known TROLLS
and JIDF/Hasbara clowns that constantly try to flood my pending for
approval comment section with their disgusting language and stupid attacks
on myself and others....
I decided that for this article, I would give some recent examples of the
so called "comments" that come from these trolls..... more »
Sandy Hook Was Indeed A Massive Hoax: Sandy Hook - Where's The Proof?
Northerntruthseeker at Northerntruthseeker - 1 day ago
I recently put up several articles concerning the Sandy Hook fraud
operation of last December, where it seems that the US Government recently
authorized a payout of some $50 Million to the citizens of Newtown,
Connecticut, for the "rebuilding of the school". This was a preposterous
amount, considering that all estimates show that the school could easily be
rebuilt for around $7 Million. When I read the article, a red flag came up
automatically and I called it as I saw it... This was a "payoff" for the
people of Newtown for their participation in the criminal operation, and for
them... more »

Dealing With Criminal Authorities
Harry Dale Huffman at The Earth and Man: Setting the Stage - 1 day ago
Steven Goddard has come to the conclusion that the climate "debate" is no
longer about science, and wonders how to deal with "criminals". My response:
*You do what I have been doing for the last 3 years, ever since I
definitively disproved the "greenhouse effect" with my Venus/Earth
temperatures comparison (the scientific debate has been over ever since):
You identify the Insane Left (and the subornation of all of our
authoritative institutions by it) as the immediate problem--substituting as
it does a political ideology, and outright tyranny, for science--and the
underlying problem... more »
Colin Craig Promises Land Grab
Peter Cresswell at Not PC - 1 day ago
*Guest post by Stephen Berry, from **Affordable Auckland*
If his latest interview with TV3 is anything to go by, New Zealand’s
political village idiot Colin Craig plans to surpass NZ First’s vote in the
next election by putting forward even more extreme success-hating populism
than Winston Peters.
Craig wears a fig leaf of rectitude in saying urban boundaries in Auckland
need to be extended. But in saying he and his Conservative Party would give
property developers five years to develop their land before invoking the
Public Works Act to have their property compulsorily acquired fo... more »
