10:25pm MDSTIs Republican Opposition To Education Predetermined By Conservatives' DNA? (Plus Bonus: Tonight's Default Vote)
Do you ever wonder why Republicans hate public education? A lot depends on *
which* Republicans you're talking about. The Old Skool Conservatives just
don't think wealthy men's taxes should go towards educating poor men's
daughters. That kind of defines core conservatism. But the GOP New Skool
isn't conservative; it's some kind of sick conglomeration of reactionaries,
neo-fascists, racists and nihilists. They fear and oppose modern society in
general; it almost makes no sense even discussing issues with them from the
perspective of reason. They're pretty much against everything and... more »

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it. — Martin Luther King, Jr.
This is true but gosh it's tough to act on. It's one thing, for example, to
behave fairly and justly to all people; but to go the extra step and decry
the bigot (who may be an employer, or client or older relative) that's
hard. I suppose knowing what we should do isn't everything - the challenge
is actually doing what we should do.

Chase Bank announces it will limit cash withdrawals and ban international wire transfers FOR ALL Business account holders ! These changes will be effective November 17 , 2013 ! Cash withdrawals limit is 50, 000 a month ! ! Chase customers told that if they want to avoid " capital controls " , they have to upgrade to a much more expensive type of account ! if this applies to your business , how will you function with a 50,000 per month cash withdrawal limit and a total bank on international wire transfers ? Is this just a JP Morgan and Chase scheme or are all big banks going to apply similar capital controls on smaller businesses ? And what is the significance of November 17 , 2013 ( why not January 1 , 2014 ? ) Is JP Morgan in financial distress or are have they created a new way to harvest excessive fees from customers ?

Creating the Conditions and Narrative for a FAILED Geneva II
Judging by the contents of recent NATO news outlet reports it appears a
story line, regarding Syria, is being created. The characters are Saudi
Arabia. Turkey. The US. But, not Israel. Although the Israeli connections
and potential gains in the destruction of Syria are plentiful and
acknowledged. Israel seems to be lacking from this fable? Which should not
really come as a surprise to anyone who is aware of the media obeisance to
approved reporting surrounding Israel.
*This most recent narrative goes something like this:*
The US wants to negotiate a political settlement for Syria. ... more »

Change the Name or End the Genocide?

More Common Core in the Real World (or at Least Florida)
I have already explored how the real-world consequences of Common Core are

Are Tablets Becoming Cheap Ticket Commodity Items?
We are starting to see a real convergence in the mobile device market.
Tablets are shrinking with 7 inch now becoming a norm and smartphones are
growing with 5.5 inch being just the starting point. We are also seeing
tablets starting to become real throwaway commodities with prices now
falling to under £100 and the big retailers starting to own brand and go
after the market.
The challenge for many tablets is how they can now maintain a high price
ticket yet offer little extra value over their cheap and cheerful
counterparts? They have the same operating system, same apps and let’s... more »

Counting Hard
Some foolish liberals, back in 2009-2010, used to blame Barack Obama for
things when the actual problem (from their perspective) was that they just
didn't have the votes in the Senate. But, to be fair, that was somewhat
complicated: Democrats had a large majority, and I can definitely
understand the frustration when that large party majority didn't actually
work out to a policy majority (in some cases a supermajority, but often
just any regular majority) for some specific liberal policies.
So if I called them out on it then, I should probably make note of this utter

Political Support For Sunni Protests Waning As Mutahidun Tries To Negotiate Their End

The Appeals Court had ruled against Richard Nixon in the battle over the
tapes, but it left him an out: instead of appealing up to the Supreme
Court, he could try to work out a deal. That's what begins now: the
attempted Stennis compromise.
It actually began on Sunday the 14th. Nixon met with Senate Armed Services
Chair John Stennis, a southern Democrat but a Nixon supporter, and
suggested a plan in which the White House would provide transcripts, and
Stennis would listen to the actual tapes to verify the accuracy of the
transcripts.
The record then gets confused; this is another o... more »

Another Republican Sex Scandal-- And For Staten Island Again?
We probably cover Michael "Mikey Suits" Grimm more than any other
blogsoutside of his Staten Island/south Brooklyn district. Usually,
we're
posting about his Mafia connections and other criminal activities. I
don't
think his latest scandal rises to "criminal" but it might just be the
one
that ends his ridiculous congressional career. My sister lives on Staten
Island and she always warns me that exposing Grimm's mafioso dealings
just
makes him stronger among her absurd neighbors. They all fantasize that
they're in the Mafia too.
But congressional public sex acts-- drunk or not-- may... more »

Monday, September 17, 2012
http://www.ubuntuparty.org.za/2012/09/standard-bank-faces-five-counts-of.html
The summons consist of 5 counts of civil fraud and 3 counts of
contravention of the Bank Act. As far as we know this is the first time
ever that any bank has been taken to task on charges of fraud. There is no
doubt that this will escalate into a major media story as soon as it leaks
out and the media realise the astronomical implications of this case.
In all the court appearances that we have had to date, that is Te... more »

Global Public Consensus: Putin Deserved Nobel Peace Prize, Not OPCW And Obama
* Obama is not impressed with Putin's heroics. *
History will record that President Putin was robbed of a Nobel Peace
Prize, while President Obama was undeservedly awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.
The Nobel Peace Prize is truly useless and meaningless since the
propagandists who hand out the prize make their decision not based on
merit, dedication to peace, and honest service, but for political reasons.
The Nobel Peace Prize has lost its prestige, which makes it valueless.
The world has no need for such a prize.

The saga began in 2009, when Patrick Rodgers first wrote to Wells Fargo,
requesting itemized information about the mortgage on his home in
Philadelphia. His homeowners' insurance provider was forcing him to take
out a $1 million policy on his home, which he maintains is worth far less
than that. When a Philadelphia man became fed up with his bank for failing

other unspeakable crimes are hoping they will go bankrupt this week on
October 17th.

Ready to detonate: Saudi-backed rebels strap bombs to Geneva-2 talks
Nile Bowie
RT
As Syria’s rebels refuse to take part in Geneva-2, Saudi Arabia has emerged
as the primary state-backer of rebel groups now trying to escalate the
Syrian conflict and topple Assad by force.
When Vladimir Putin met with Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia in August, the
newly appointed Intelligence Chief reportedly tried to cut a deal with
Moscow by promising to buy billions in Russian arms and pledging not to
challenge Russian gas sales to Europe in exchange for withdrawing support
for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Though later refuted by the Kremlin,

Putting The Fraud Of The Jewish "Race" Out Of Its Misery: New Article By Gilad Atzmon - Jews Are Not A Race, But Jewish Identity Is Racist
Just last week, I again put up an article that explained in detail how Jews
were ABSOLUTELY and POSITIVELY NOT a distinct "race" of mankind.... That
article showed that the vast majority of the fraud "Ashkenazi" Jews had
European ancestry in them, and that they have absolutely no links to the
region of Palestine, period. People need to understand, especially those
in the "Christian Identity" (CI) crowd, that the Jews have long needed to
be seen as a distinct and separate race because (a) it would somehow
justify in their psychotic thinking the need to band together because of

Exposing The Fraud Of Obamacare: New Article By John Kaminski -
In my Sunday rant, I touched on some reality about the so called
"Obamacare" and how it indeed is nothing more than a scam and a massive
swindle on the American public. I described in my rant how during last
Friday's Skype call to John Kaminski, both John and I talked about this
"Obamacare" swindle, and how it is in reality just another massive tax grab
on the American people....
John Kaminski informed me that he was working on a new article that would
expose Obamacare for the fraud it really is....John finished the article,

Now there's the curiosity of an Economics prize split three ways, with two

view of markets), being economists whom even I know you don't ever expect

THE MAGIC OF THE WALK
We were walking along today from Mercer to Farmington when a big green bus
zoomed by us. I noticed it said Bread & Puppet on the back. Then minutes
later the bus had turned around and pulled into a parking lot in front of
us. A bunch of young people jumped out and they immediately began
unloading band equipment from the rear end. Soon we had the Bread & Puppet
marching band leading our walk. They played When the Saints Go Marching In
and Down by the Riverside as we continued walking. Then they apologized
saying they had to get on to do a show someplace and headed back to the... more »

By Matt Scuffham
LONDON | Sat Oct 12, 2013 7:00pm EDT
Oct 13 (Reuters) - A British court will this week consider whether
attempted manipulation of the benchmark interest rate Libor can invalidate
loans and other deals or show that banks mis-sold products that were based
upon the rate.
The Court of Appeal will on Tuesday begin a 3-day hearing examining two
separate cases brought by clients against Barclays and Deutsche Bank. It is
