Daylight savings time...
*did you change your clocks?* I hate daylight savings time. It doesn't "save" time. It just rearranges it and gives it a new name. It also forces me to get up in the morning and ask myself, "What time is it really?"
SPOOKS CONTROL THE PARTIES AND THE MEDIA
*Jo Shaw announced her resignation* Some political parties are run by the spooks, and that means that they are 'fascist' and involved in child abuse. The leaders of the UK's Liberal party (renamed Liberal Democrats) have long been linked to fascism and child abuse. The UK's Liberals got Britain into World War I. Paddy Ashdown, former leader of the Liberals, worked for MI6. Sir Cyril Smith was one of many child abusing Liberals. *The leaders of the Liberal Democrats support secret courts.* *Human rights barrister Dinah Rose and ex-parliamentary candidate Jo Shaw have resigned from... more »

Is There Recourse When A Political Party Decides To Sabotage The Economy To Undermine The Country?
When I retired from my job at Warner Bros, one of the happiest thoughts I had is that I would never have to go to a Grammy Awards show again-- nor anything like it-- and never have to be a prop in the audience in someone's lame TV extravaganza. All those shows made me sick and I had to go to all of them. However... there was only one I actually did like and that was the U.K. version of the Grammies, the BRIT Awards. I was at the 1998 version, the night before my birthday at the London Arena, primarily to support Fleetwood Mac, who were performing and getting an Outstanding Contrib... more »
Is Opposition to Organised Jewry insane?
A reader wrote a comment stating that speaking of the government in London as under Talmudic Occupation, or of there being a deliberate plan by our enemies to bring in totally unassimiable people to our lands to destroy us, leads to an assumption that I am some sort of anti-Jewish racist nutter, 'which alienates most people, and causes them to think of you as being a bad person, or mentally deranged, or whatever'. This is a very important comment and needs to be addressed. Am I anti-Jewish? No, I am not. I have every respect for genuine National Zionists who wish to live in an ... more »

Are the Jews a race?
*"No man will treat with indifference the principle of race. It is the key to history, and why history is often so confused is that it has been written by men who are ignorant of this principle and all the knowledge it involves. . . Language and religion do not make a race--there is only one thing which makes a race, and that is blood." * *- Benjamin Disraeli, former Jewish Prime Minister and political figure in Britain* Issues relating to race and genetics are always controversial, especially when dealing with the Jews. Thoughts for the Brain
What is Marxism? It is historical materialism as a means to progressively change the world. Why does Marxism as a political movement centre on the working class? Because of its position firstly as in independent class with its own aims, second because of its essential role in creating wealth, third because it owns no property in the means of production when it assumes power it has no other group to oppress or exploit, therefore workers power can be used as a means to escape to a classless society. When we define working class we must insist on wage labour being the key determinant a... more »

Of course, there was a modest temperature rise in the 20th century, as a continuation of the warming that began 200 years ago as the world naturally emerged from those centuries of cooling known as the Little Ice Age. I’m going to do this in multiple entries – using snips – cause I am a “blogger” with ADD, with the attention span for research and writing of about that of a flea (let's jump around and do this - or this, no this, maybe this, or this ... ). *ALEC-New Partnerships and Exposing Hidden Foreign Influences* Before we consider what the impact of a joint RSC/ALEC partnership against federa... more »
Walkom Almost Gets it Right
Tom Walkom writes that Alberta made a sucker's bet on bitumen and so, thanks to Ottawa, did the rest of Canada. The *Toronto Star *columnist adds that, thanks to both governments' single-minded policies, Alberta's economy is going down and will drag the country's with it. *Since the world economy went off the cliff in 2008, resources have kept Canada going. Americans may not be buying Ontario’s manufactured goods, but they have been buying oil — at prices that, thanks to Chinese demand and the production quotas of the OPEC cartel, have been sky-high.* ** *For Prime Minister Stephe... more »

OPPT-Isn't
I do not want to change your mind. I want to touch your heart. With your heart engaged, your mind can’t help but make the right choice for you. Notice the landscape. Do not dismiss these new features. They demand closer inspection. Decide what resonates. Listen, discern and act when you are moved to. The OPPT asks nothing of you. It is like a soundtrack, playing in the background as you construct your world. Consider your life; some things you want more of, others less. There are tools and there are obstacles. Decide which is which and use what serves you. There... more »
children's books # 6: the return of interspecies love
It's been a while since I've written about children's books, and an even longer while since I've done an interspecies love post, so why not combine the two? There's a spate of children's books depicting cross-species animal friendships, some excellent, some better avoided. Children love these stories for the same reasons we do. There is something so touching - and off-the-charts cute! - about these friendships between animals who should, by nature, be afraid of each other, or even in a very different kind of relationship - at mealtime. For kids, some of these books have a moral ov... more »

LONG TRIP
My plane to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania was cancelled yesterday because the Newark, NJ airport, where I was to get a connecting flight, was closed due to snowstorm. I waited on line in Portland at the airport for three hours to find out that all flights to Newark were cancelled. The meeting I was heading to began at 4:00 pm on Friday. So I jumped in a cab and went to Portland bus station where I caught a bus to Boston. Then I took a bus to New York city and another bus to Wilkes-Barre. I arrived just after midnight. About a 19-hour trip. The meeting is ready to resume this mor... more »
The Great Randstand Of 2013-- Rand Paul Makes His National Debut
Zaid Jilani's report on Rand Paul's stand against drones provides the best coverage of Wednesday night's 13 hour filibuster-- which preceded a strong bipartisan vote (63-34) confirming John Brennan as CIA Director. In the end Rand Paul voted to confirm and the only NO votes were from heroic progressives Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Pat Leahy (D-VT), Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and a gaggle of drooling obstructionists like Ted Cruz (R-TX), Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) who ritually oppose everything and everyone that Obama proposes. You Can Always Count on the Government to Let You Know Where You Stand
It is with a great deal of disappointment and frustration that I hear about the Alberta government's decision to cut the $300 million slated for upgrades to Highway 881 from its 2013 budget. It really is ridiculous that our region, in many ways the economic engine for not only this province, but the entire country, should have to be short-changed with such pathetic highway routes. Our two local MLA's, both members of the governing PC's, really should give their heads a shake. While Highway 63 is slated to be twinned by 2016 (I'm still holding my breath on that), Highway 881 also ... more »

The SWP leadership have sown the wind.
Now the SWP must reap the whirlwind. Sad to say a number of us saw this coming. If the In Defence of Our Party faction does not prevail at this Sunday's special conference it means several things. 1) The SWP is a rigged game - IDOOP has more supporters than the CC Faction yet fewer delegates to conference. 2) Either that or the SWP membership are sectarian themselves - or, of course, a combination of the two. 3) Either way the SWP is over. 4) Anybody who cares about the future of socialism in Britain must leave it.

the slaughtered paintings FINALLY laid to rest
the great clear-out has FINALLY happened, and it's like an enormous burden has been lifted from my soul. Yesterday, I got rid of the remaining SLAUGHTERED PAINTINGS. Yes, there were a couple left, as mentioned in this blogpost from last year, including the 5ft by 4ft painting that was the cover of the Red Hedz novel. I had been unable to part with these paintings, they were a part of my past. And though selling one's art is what an artist 'should' do, these works were far too personal to 'pimp out like a rancid whore'. They served their purpose, they helped me 'survive' and now t... more »
Expanding Biological Control of Crop Pests
Essentially this strengthens the effectiveness of using altered males to hugely reduce pest populations. Because these males are no longer sterile, they are have normal vigor. The end result is the same ,but should be way more efficient. The battle to suppress insect attacks continues until we can figure out a magic bell jar for our crops. Of course the natural solution is crop cycling and substantial separation while thus accepting modest predation but that seems unlikely for the big crops. Thus suppressing fertility is the best long term solution. *Advance promises to expand ... more »
Ice Sheet Flow Research
What I find most interesting was how a really modest increase in climate was able to feed back into ice shelf mobility. The additional warmth produced larger surface melting on the ice sheets and this melt water increases penetration to the bottom of the ice sheet affecting its effective viscosity. It is clearly quick and effective. It is also a warning that a sudden sharp temperature rise of say two degrees or more will dump huge amounts of ice into the ocean very quickly. This is likely to happen as we pass through the Sirius cluster in the next fifty thousand years or so. An... more »
SMOS(Soil, Moisture and Ocean Salinity) Success
This is the beginning of excellent ocean data. I suspect that the primary driver of the forty year long Arctic warming spell is an incremental switch up some forty years ago of heat delivered into the Arctic. This effectively constant heat increment has driven this whole warming cycle. If it is driven by direct changes in ocean conditions, then this technology should pick up the signals. In the meantime we will get real data on the condition of the summer melt in the Arctic. This is very welcome to myself who has been tracking conditions from the beginning of this blog. Indian Farmers Smash Crop Yield Records Without GMOs
It is really simple. A weight of root below ground produces a similar weight above ground. Thus the most important aspect of production is to maximize the bio weight that is underground. This should have been perfected centuries ago but has obviously not. Now it is been applied by improved spacing and the crop responds. Of course the use of organic fertilizers provides an additional influx of full spectrum nutrition that ensures optimal production also. Now imagine adding a steady dressing of biochar to the organic fertilizer a and meet goals that seem impossible. The only thing... more »

Walter Kohn: 90th birthday
On March 9th, we commemorate the death anniversary of Hans Christian Ørsted. But there is a happier anniversary today, too. Walter Kohn, a physicist who received the 1998 Nobel prize in chemistryalong with John Pople, is turning 90. He gave the density functional theory to the chemists, highlighting the fact that chemistry is applied physics. Young physicists may know him because of the Kohn Hall at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics in Santa Barbara, however. He was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1923. His father was a committed pacifist, perhaps because his brother died while... more »

For a fifth day, Patrick Gray was questioned by the Judiciary Committee. Ted Kennedy was the leading questioner, and while there were no new major revelations, Gray once again did poorly. Kennedy pressed him mainly again on cooperation with John Dean; he also questions why the FBI didn't follow up to the Washington Post's story that CRP staff LaRue and Mardian had been involved in destroying files after the arrests. Gray's defense is, basically, that since the FBI hadn't discovered anything about that in their original questioning, there was no need to go back and investigate furthe... more »

DRONE WARS: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE OTHER SIDE DECIDES THAT IF IT’S GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE U.S. THEN IT’S GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM?
The short answer is that the West will come over all holier-than-thou and claim that ‘right is on their side’ and that the other side ‘doesn’t have the right to use such weapons’. As usual, it boils down to who has the biggest stick and the most convincing propaganda machine. Might, of course, will prevail and, no matter who ultimately wins, that side will claim righteousness. A deity of some sort is also likely to be invoked to support such claims. The reality is that there are many consequences to face when a government decides that it has the right to extra-judicially kill anyon... more »

Canada Is Israeli Occupied Territory: Canadian Zio-Stooge John Baird Says Palestine Will Suffer Consequences From Canada If It Rightfully Brings Israel To International Courts For Its Genocides!
Canada is more and more these days showing that it is nothing more than Israeli occupied territory... Is the Weakness of the Liberal Order Overblown?
Last week, Naazneen Barma, Ely Ratner, and Steven Weber offered “The Mythical Liberal Order,” a provocative update to their earlier article on the world without the West. They sought to puncture certain mythologies about the strength of the liberal order, that it never was a strong as defenders thought: its decline is much exaggerated since Continue reading

The outsiders, meaning the vast majority of the population, have greater concerns that are finally showing up on their local news stations.
