Disaster Bonds Question
Majia's Blog at Majia's Blog - 12 hours ago
Jan 25 2013 The Wall Street Journal ran a remarkable article about disaster
bonds written by J. Neumann.
The article discusses a trend in public financing. Public entities - state
agencies, county governments, and cities and towns- are issuing bonds on
behalf of private companies.
The article illustrates the trend with an example from Iowa: "In December
an Iowa state agency issued $1.2 billion in municipal bonds for an
Egyptian company to build a fertilizer factory. The bonds qualified for
tax-exempt status under a US program to aid Midwestern states flooded in
2008." p. A1

Happy Holyhoax Day!
Rufus News From Atlantis at News From Atlantis. - 18 hours ago
Today in the UK, and in many other countries under Zionist Occupation, is
Holocaust Remembrance Day. The Talmudists who have wrecked the UK use the
27th January as the day in which they celebrate their creed for the Goyim;
today is the holiest day for the Cult of Holocaustianity.
In our schools, all year round children are spoon-fed lie after lie about
the treatment of Jews in wartime Europe, and about the 'guilt' they must
feel because their grandparents and great-grandparents didn't do enough to

Australian Open - men's singles final - jock v djok
Mike Philbin at FREE PLANET - 18 hours ago
*image source, METRO UK*yeah, it's a corny 'jock v djok' subtitle but it's
the only one that seems fitting for this rivetting battle of equals, tie
break dominated, Murray vs Djokovic Australian Open men's single final.
SET ONE: one hour
Murray, 7/6 tie break.
SET TWO: one hour
Djokovic, 7/6 tie break.
SET THREE:
It's on, and God only knows who'll dominate but this mind-game has the
potential to go to five sets, and at this rate that's FIVE HOURS of stamina
draining gameplay (even to watch).
SET THREE: half hour
Well, it didn't go to plan, Djokovic took the third set in double-quick... more »

Poland's investigation into secret CIA prisons loses steam
Lynsey at The Coming Crisis - 18 hours ago
Lawyers for two men who say they were held illegally in a secret CIA jail
on Polish territory argue that a landmark criminal investigation into the
"black site" is being stalled because a trial will embarrass the Polish
state.
Polish prosecutors are investigating the country's role in a global
operation run by U.S. secret services a decade ago to transport suspected
al Qaeda members to facilities outside the United States where they could
be held and interrogated without the safeguards set out under U.S. law.

Israel vows Syria strike at any sign of chemical arms transfer
Lynsey at The Coming Crisis - 18 hours ago
Any sign of Syria's grip on its suspected chemical weapons slipping as it
battles an armed uprising could trigger Israeli military strikes, Israel's
vice premier said on Sunday.
Silvan Shalom confirmed a media report that Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu had last week convened security chiefs to discuss the civil war
in nearby Syria and the state of the country's chemical arsenal.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, had not been publicly announced and was
seen as especially unusual as it came while votes were still being counted
from Israel's national election the day before, which Net... more »

Police fired tear gas at dozens of stone-throwing protesters in Cairo on
Sunday in a fourth day of street clashes that have killed at least 41
people and compounded the political challenges facing President Mohamed
Mursi.
In the worst violence, security sources said 32 people died in Port Said on
Saturday when protests erupted following a court verdict sentencing 21
people, mostly from the city, to death for their role in a deadly stadium
disaster last year.
