Of all the energy we use in Vermont, only 5 percent is electricity and 95 percent is fueling our cars and heating our homes. A group of concerned citizens met in Newell, South Dakota Saturday to discuss a proposed wind farm in their area. Wind Quarry Operations LLC of Colorado has already filed an application with the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for the Willow Creek Wind Energy Facility. Environmentalists are up in arms after two vultures were killed by wind turbines in Malaga. Ecologist group Ecologistas en Accion has denounced a wind farm in Guadalteba after the birds were discovered dead on site.
