disaster in Arkansas and runs through Texas - "It has been in the ground
since the late 1940s. It had been out of use since the market for
diesel oil transported from the Gulf Coast to the midwest became
unprofitable. What a brilliant idea to simply dust it off, put in some
new pump stations, and voila, tar sands flows to Texas refineries and
money flows back to tar sands investors. Why go through the hassle of
building an entirely new pipeline when there's a whole network of them

that federal and state governments don't regulate this re-purposing of

How
one man’s struggle to protect his family from the Keystone XL pipeline
transformed the fight against climate change in America
Robert
Gates, who served as Secretary of Defense during the Bush and Obama
administrations, took down conservatives' baseless attacks over the
handling of Benghazi.
Gates said that he would have made the same decisions, such as not sending aircraft or ground troops:
"The one thing our forces are noted for is planning and preparation
before we send people in harm's way, and there just wasn't time."
While the right-wing complains that the administration put lives in
peril by not sending back-up, Gates tells us that they were actually
preserving lives by not acting hastily given the intelligence situation.
Robert Gates Criticizes Conservatives' "Cartoonish Impression" Of Military Support For Benghazi
My
mother went into paid work soon after my father's clothing store was
flooded out in a hurricane, almost wiping him out. She had no choice. We
needed the money. This was some two decades before a tidal wave of
wives and mothers went into paid work. For the few with four-year
college degrees the transformation was the consequence of wider
educational opportunity and new laws against gender discrimination that
opened professions to well-educated women. But for the vast majority it
was because male wages were dropping, and wives and mothers had to get
paid jobs in order to prop up family incomes. In 1966, only 20 percent
of mothers with young children worked outside the home. By the late
1990s, 60 percent. For married women with children under age 6, the
transformation was even more dramatic: from 12 percent in the 1960s to
55 percent by the late 1990s.
Yet America hasn't accommodated this shift. I was proud to have implemented the Family and Medical
Leave Act when I was Labor Secretary, but, unlike most rich nations, we
don't require that employers offer paid leave. Nor do we require equal
pay for equal work (women's pay still lags behind male pay for the same
job). Nor, like most rich nations, do we provide universal child care.
More women workers are in minimum-wage jobs than men, yet our minimum
wage hasn't kept up. (If it had kept up with inflation since 1968 it
would be over $10 today.) We've even cut aid pre-natal and post-natal
medical care for poor infants and mothers.
Nor have we begun
to cope with the reality of stagnant or declining real wages that has
caused families to work so much harder and longer. Almost all of the
economic gains since the late 1970s have gone to the top 1 percent, but
our representatives in Washington refuse to acknowledge this or take
steps to reverse the trend.

Why
do so many Americans want us to become more like Nazi Germany? When I
was growing up, I was taught that Nazi Germany was the antithesis of
everything

Just wanted to say somethin.
We basically are involved in two major sets of wars right now. One set
is made out of the physical wars we are in, in Iraq and Afghanistan,
(pakistan, libya, syria - drone strikes)
And the other war is an information war being fought between the american people.
Since the internet began, it has allowed for world-wide communication
and the sharing of information. It is the best and most useful source
for info on the planet, as long as you can discern which information is
legitimate or not.
However, as the internet was evolving and
terror attacks kept happening, this allowed for the evidence from these
attacks to be shared world-wide without censorship.
This worries the hell out of the people who perpetrated the attacks.
Example: OKC 1995, WTC 1993, 9/11, 7/7 bombings in london
Since, there IS a lot of contradictory information for all of those
events, which clearly points to inside involvement, the "powers that be"
have made it imperative to also spread DISINFORMATION side by side with
real info.
By spreading disinformation and getting it to go
viral, it can 'poison the well' of good information. As, if you believe
90% good info and then one piece of disinformation, that piece of
disinformation will be the thing which ends up discrediting you all the
way.
So please, be careful about what you believe and read on
the internet, there is an ABUNDANCE of good information available
(except until the internet regulations start and those sites get
deleted)
and also an ABUNDANCE of fake information, meant to confuse and convince people to believe completely fake crap.
This video is an example of that. Someone has been making fake 9/11
videos for the last few years, and uploading them to go viral.
In this video, a 'cruise missile' was photoshopped into a video of the
pentagon to be spread as 'the only video which shows the impact'.....
The video i posted shows both the original, and the edited version. So
please. if you see anybody uploading or sharing these videos, PLEASE
tell them the truth, show them the debunk video and help them to stop
spreading it. Because all we have in this information war is an ability
to spread truthful information before its illegal to!
Other
disinformation tactics include making up theories like "mini nukes" or
"alien space beams" that did 9/11....like the Judy Wood theory.
That theory came out around 2008, after a man in Obama's administration
decided to 'cognitively infiltrate 9/11 truth groups to spread
disinformation'
