Why quantum mechanics can't be any different
Classical physics and quantum mechanics are the only two frameworks for
physics that are worth mentioning. And it's quantum mechanics that is more
true in Nature, that is more fundamental, and that is more legitimate as
the starting point. Classical physics may be derived as a limit of quantum
mechanics but quantum mechanics can't be obtained by any similarly
straightforward, guaranteed-to-succeed procedure from classical physics.
And yet, quantum mechanics remains wildly misunderstood and underestimated.
Many people, including professional physicists, can't resist their

Authenticity of the Gospel of Judas Verified
It turns out that the gospel of Judas, discovered in the late 1970’s for

This is startling in some aspects that do not conform to the expectations

Historical UFO Research
After reading the article about the research into the June 23, 1947 Cedar
Rapids UFO sighting, a few suggested that maybe we should do that for all
these older sightings. I think that the idea might be more trouble than it
is worth. Here’s why.
The Cedar Rapids case was important because it was alleged the sighting of
a disc took place prior to Arnold and more importantly, it was documented
prior to Arnold. Granted, the documentation was in a newspaper, but if the
witness said that he had seen a disc-shaped object and it was reported
before Arnold, it became important. It would sug... more »

Ryan's remarks to the Susan B. Anthony (SBA) List gala will be his most

candidates hurt their chances with controversial remarks on abortion and
rape.

Hear it from two economists: Social Security is fiscally sound for at least 20 years, bought and paid for by the regressive Payroll Tax. The present fiscal crisis is solely due to taxpayer bailouts of the big banks, not to national debt. And as any intellectually honest economist would tell you, austerity would (or will) greatly deepen the current recession.
