1:56pm MDSTThe New York Times explains cherry-picking!

*THURSDAY, JUNE 13, 2013*
*Too hard for the regular paper:* Tuesday morning, three of our analysts
came right out of their chairs.
The youngsters are assigned to the science beat. As such, they were
scanning that day’s Science Times, the New York Times’ weekly science
section.
What brought the young analysts out of their seats? In a report about
climate change, Justin Gillis explained the practice of cherry-picking.
“The rise in the surface temperature of earth has been markedly slower over
the last 15 years than in the 20 years before that,” Gillis wrote. And

The Constitution Doesn't Guarantee Safety, It Guarantees Privacy
Mark Daniels at GLOBAL POLITICAL AWAKENING - 6 hours ago
*Activist Post*
Obama says Americans can't have "100 percent security and 100 percent
privacy".
This is obviously a false choice and an admission that he knowingly
violates the rights of U.S. citizens.
Obama, like Bush before him, claims his most important job is to keep the
American people safe. Not true. His job is to uphold and defend the
Constitution which guarantees the privacy of all citizens but makes no
mention of "safety" or "security". In fact, if war must be waged to defend
America, that power rests with the Congress. The president then directs
that war.

Fuel Leaks Prompt Store Chain Audit
Rachel Rindfleisch at Contaminated Nation - Water Contamination, Land Pollution & Hazardous Waste locations - 6 hours ago

A pair of fuel leaks has proved costly for a Maryland-based convenience

Royal Farms, which owns 70 stores across the region, recently reached a

There's something about this heist story which has the odd effect of making
a person smile. Of course it has entirely to do with the identity of the
victim: Tiffany & Co. But that doesn't entirely explain the smile-producing
effect. Sure, there may be no business in the country which serves as a
more perfect emblem of upper-class privilege and excess, and you know its
insurance will cover the loss, but that doesn't by itself make the story
amusing, or at any rate titillating, does it?
