Fatal boat collision on Okanagan LakeCTV is reporting that "Paramedics called West Kelowna RCMP around 11:30 a.m. Thursday to advise them of the collision between two personal watercraft, which had seriously injured one of the vehicles' occupants. RCMP said in a news release that officers responded to the Summerland boat launch, where the uninjured watercraft operator identified themselves as an off-duty RCMP officer. The operator of the other vehicle was taken to hospital, where they died of their injuries. This is obviously tragic but I'm not sure how this happens. Sunny day, clear visibility - wtf? read more

What Electric Vehicle Manufacturers Can Learn From China – Their Biggest Market*Youlin Huang, David Tyfield, Didier Soopramanien, Lixian Qian* *economy, * Rather than subsidising wealthier consumers in megacities to switch to an EV, a more promising strategy may be to focus on novel forms of access to EVs in China’s – and the world’s – smaller and less wealthy cities. Total EV sales in China were 1.3 million, an increase of 8% compared to 2019, and 41% of all EVs sold worldwide.
