Kelly? Woody? Emily? I've been a keen and diligent bird feeder since my late teens. In my younger years our old black-painted garage would have families of sparrows sunbathing on top of it on a hot day, probably forty or fifty in total, happily flocking down to grab anything I'd put out for them. Bobby Burns parties have been celebrated on January 25 since 1801, the 5th anniversary of his death. So with the rest of the world last night we celebrated with Dave and Donna who have such a party each year. The vaccination of tens of thousands of people at risk is helping slow its spread, but the numbers don't look good.
