DNC Backpedals After Cyberattack 'Hack' Was Actually A Security 'Test'
[image: undefined] The DNC has backpedaled on a report by *CNN *that a recent "sophisticated attempt to hack into its voter database" had been discovered by San Francisco-based cybersecurity firm Lookout - whose co-founder John Hering contributed $30,700 to the DNC in June of 2016, along with $2,700 to Hillary Clinton the same day. It's not Lookout's fault, however, as they were simply "looking out" for the Democratic National Committee when they discovered a "simulated phishing test" they assumed was real. Unipolarism vs. Multipolarism - The Real Russian Interference in US Politics
[image: undefined] The Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union was ostensibly a conflict between two ideologies, two socio-economic systems. All that seems to be over. The day of a new socialism may dawn unexpectedly, but today capitalism rules the world. Now the United States and Russia are engaged in a no-holds-barred fight between capitalists. At first glance, it may seem to be a classic clash between rival capitalists. And yet, once again an ideological conflict is emerging, one which divides capitalists themselves, even in Russia and in the United States itself... more »

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life - daily and hourly. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual... Truth. Everybody says they want it. They lie, of course, mainly to themselves. People don't want "Truth", they want a version of the truth that they can accept, something that conforms to their pre-conceived notions, that validates and affirms their own long-held beliefs. In some of our lives a moment arrives, usually unexpectedly, when suddenly the light turns on, a "eureka" moment of realization that everything we've been led to believe may not be what we thought, that reality may not be what we've been led to believe. This moment contains a great deal of doubt, surprise, fear ... more »

Japan’s Evolving Position on the Use of Force in Collective Self-Defense
U.S.-Japan defenuse cooperation, 2013 (Source: U.S. Department of Defense/1st Sgt. Until just a few years ago, the government’s view had been that the Constitution’s war-renouncing clause, Article 9, permitted only the use of minimum necessary force to defend the territory and population of Japan—not other countries. The president informs us that he's done such a good job as president that it would be foolishness to impeach him, and Sebastian Gorka -- sorry, *Dr.* Sebastian Gorka -- concurs: You can’t.
