U.S. Senator Demands Answers About F-35’s Close Air Support Role
*POGO*: *Senator Demands Clarification About F-35’s Close Air Support Role* One of the central issues in the debate over retiring the A-10 has been whether or not the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter will be an adequate replacement to perform the close air support mission. The program office has issued a number of conflicting statements on the issue. And in this week’s Senate Armed Services Committee update on the F-35 program, the most heated exchange came when Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) sought clarification about conflicting statements made by Air Force leaders regarding the mission a... more »
Doctors Now Prescribing Music Therapy for Many Serious Conditions
Working with music is a repetative physical therapy also known as a discipline. Small wonder that mind and body tresponds positively to this stimulus. More correctly it is plausibly the most effective way of delivering such therapy. It is one thing to prescribe a series of Light exercises having no other point and to prescribing instrument practice which is self rewarding outside health issues. Throw in listening applications centered on either passive meditation or contemplative meditation and we understand why many do use background music to enjoy meditation. All this suppor... more »
Industry Whistleblower Claims This is What’s Really Killing Honeybees
This is an extremely important story as it makes clear that our choice of mobile frequencies are seriously harmful to the health of bees in particular. The science said so and was then suppressed by industry with the expected PR campaign. Way more interesting is that my work regarding the multiple aspect conjecture for all lifeforms generally including even our own is confirmed by the bees themselves. This is so unexpected. The bees directly communicated with a number of natural advocates. Thus we have the conjecture put forward directly by the bees themselves. I had alread... more »
The Pathology Of Conservatism Goes The The Bathroom With Denny Hastert And Mark Foley
When Florida Republican Mark Foley was caught molesting underage male pages, the establishment circled the wagons around their likable colleague and made sure he wasn't charged with years of raping underage boys but just with sending naughty electronic messages. For their own reasons, Rahm Emanuel, John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi, John Shimkus and Denny Hastert, all conspired to make sure Foley would never be tried for rape-- and, please keep in mind, that these weren't ancient cases beyond the statute of limitations, but cases in which young boys were still complaining about pain when... more »

"The combined light of stars along the Milky Way are reflected by these cosmic dust clouds that soar some 300 light-years or so above the plane of our galaxy. Commonly found at high galactic latitudes, the dusty galactic cirrus can be traced over large regions toward the North and South Galactic poles. *Click image for larger size.* Along with the refection of starlight, studies indicate the dust clouds produce a faint reddish luminescence, as int... more »

British actress Emma Thompson and her sister Sophie have broken a court injunction by occupying a piece of land in Lancashire in protest to government’s plans to allow fracking on the site. Trump Take-Over Of US Media Complete
According to a report from the Russian Security Council, American leaders have been left in a state of “shock” after learning of Donald Trump’s successful take-over of one of the last US media giants that remained, until now, free form any “Freemasonic influence”. The Kremlin say that the Freemasons have used Trump and the 2016 US Presidential election to initiate a complete take-over of the country in what is being referred to as a coup d’etat. Boehner: #NeverCruz
I've always found that establishment politicians are much more relaxed when they're being interviewed outside the strictures and confines of the Beltway and that it makes the interviews more likely to produce something worthwhile and unexpected. Wednesday evening John Boehner was the guest speaker at Stanford University, far from DC and far from Ohio and he was interviewed by a history professor, David Kennedy, rather than a jackel journalist. Sure, she no longer publicly insists that the TPP is the "gold standard" of trade agreements, but there are indications that she's never really changed her mind about the horrible treaty she helped negotiate. Stephen Harper has disappeared. And, Andrew Cohen writes, his legacy is disappearing as quickly as he did: Stephen Harper was a failure in power. He created nothing lasting. Of prime ministers since 1945 who served a full term or more, his is the thinnest record. Harper took on none of the big social issues – abortion, gay marriage, capital punishment – which animated his loyalists. He championed no constitutional reform and established few innovative programs. Animal Communicators Prove it’s Possible to Hear an Animal’s Thoughts
This is more evidence supporting human animal mind to mind communication. It also occurs to me that horse back riding will become a lot safer once we add mind to mind communication to the equation. And in PA-07 they expressed that by voting 51,525 (73.8%) for Balchunis to 18,276 (26.2%) for the DCCC's wealthy handpicked outsider, Bill Golderer. The DCCC helped Golderer raise $375,402 and he was able to ... more »

U.S. Senator John McCain: F-35 Is 'A Scandal And A Tragedy'
*CNN: John McCain*:* F-35 is 'a scandal and a tragedy'* Washington (CNN)Sen. John McCain slammed the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter's troubled history Tuesday, saying it "has been both a scandal and a tragedy with respect to cost, schedule and performance." The development of the Joint Strike Fighter, a fifth-generation stealth jet, has been beset by spiraling costs and schedule delays. The program's price tag is nearly $400 billion for 2,457 planes -- almost twice the initial estimate. The persistence of #edreform despite evidence of failure
NAEP results are yet again indicating that strict reforms, as current high school seniors have experienced a near-lifetime of initiatives that count as education “reform,” from NCLB to RTTT, have failed. Mountains of evidence are collecting, but education reform programs, like scripted curricula in all subjects, persist for two reasons, in my estimation. One, educational change […]

The reference to premier Notley who wants to keep pumping oil because it, duh, creates jobs, is a painful reminder of how far the NDP has fallen in priorities and basic intelligence. Genetically Modified Crops: The Trouble Is In The Soil
The fundamental argument is that industrial cropping methods steadily denature soils until it becomes unusable. We are not there yet and GMOs are actually a way to postpone that day.. Salvaging those soils will mean a full return to organic methods augmented with biochar amendment in particular. I make the argument that we cannot start soon enough and will need access to human labor in particular to optimize the organic protocol. That will provide a mainstay for my economic redevelopment that ends poverty and provides a healthy life way for all humanity. The process has begu... more »
You Know the Benefits of Meditation – But What Are the Pitfalls?
.I do meditate but not nearly as much as i would like and i came to it all only several years ago when i began seeing confirmation of clear benefits. I am definitely a late adopter. And i have zero ambition to cancel gravity by this means. I have learned that it takes about fifteen minutes for the mind to properly settle down. Then you are really meditating. It also helps to do contemplative meditation before you start. Once you have mastered the process which can takes some time, just enjoy what comes. The inner sun is real and so is light and yes white ligh... more »
The Amazingly Simple and Cost-Effective Way to End Homelessness — for Good
This is turning out to be far more effective than anyone imagined. Note here that this a necessary solution for those who are clearly unemployable and just as obviously unable to navigate any of the services available. If you have a basket of mental issues, there is no magic. So stop acting as it is these folks fault that they are part of the lower third of human functionality. What is startling is just how cost effective this has become. That alone supports ongoing political support from all those folks truly embarrassed by the phenomena. Something that works well... more »
A Tax on Income Attacks Life Itself
Through the income tax, the government can be informed regarding the financial activities of every citizen and can of course snoop as it wishes. That is trouble enough but quite rightly it makes general surveilance possible if only because it provides a starting point. It is an enabler. I still think we want that but in a digestible form . That is a hard problem to set up. . *A Tax on Income Attacks Life Itself* *Our lives and liberties are unsafe so long as it exists* - *Jeffrey Tucker * *Friday, April 15, 2016* * https://fee.org/articles/a-tax-on-income-attacks-... more »

The United States Air Force and CIA assassinate targets in residential areas, at FUNERALS and WEDDINGS and routinely murder children, mothers and entire families. They do this in countries we have no declaration of war with or a recognized combat zone. Triggered by radio 4
Lots of people listen to the radio while they work. They can take their minds off the here-and-now and lose themselves in whatever the BBC streams into their brain. They’re aiming for a kind of mindlessness. (the opposite of mindfulness.) Anyway, I wasn’t exactly working while I listened to radio 4 for an hour or so yesterday morning, but I felt I was being bullied. Jane Garvey and some other voices were speaking to me, confiding in me almost conspiratorially, as if I were their friend.
