An Essential Journey My experience of international travel in Covid timesI had not planned to travel abroad this year, especially after the UK
government’s announcement in early 2021 that foreign holidays were
forbidden. Even heading towards the airport with an intent to go on a
foreign holiday could result in a £5000 fine or imprisonment! Surreal. read more

Critical Race Theory in schools. The media are concerned, very concerned,
that parents are starting to wake up. If this awakening continues, this
could present a problem: Posted in 1st Amendment, Big Government, […]

Louisville And 20 Other Cities Plan March For Medicare For All, July 24
We will begin at 11 AM in the park in front of the Federal Building where
we have permission from the city to use the site.
We will have speakers (brief) and music then march and/or caravan to
Breewayy, the square at 6th between Liberty and Jefferson.
There we will place flowers in honor of Breonna Taylor, to connect with her

fight to end systemic racism. We will return to where we began and share
refreshments and socialize.
We will also be celebrating Medicare’s 56th birthday. We hope you will

680 Global Leaders Urge Biden To End ‘Israeli Oppression’
More than 680 global leaders, from politicians and Nobel laureates to
leading academics and peace advocates, have called on US President Joe
Biden to honour his commitments towards protecting the human rights of
Palestinians.
In an open letter published earlier this week, the group called on Biden to
put “human rights at the centre of US foreign policy” and to “help bring an
end to Israel’s institutionalised domination and oppression of the
Palestinian people”.
“A sustainable and just peace – for all people – will remain elusive if
US policy holds to a political status quo devoid... read more

To End Racial Capitalism, We Will Need To Take On Policing
Police in the United States act with impunity in targeted neighborhoods,
public schools, college campuses, hospitals, and almost every other public
sphere. Not only do the police view protesters, Black and Indigenous
people, and undocumented immigrants as antagonists to be controlled, they
are also armed with military-grade weapons. This police militarization is a
process that dates at least as far back as President Lyndon Johnson when he
initiated the 1965 Law Enforcement Assistance Act, which supplied local
police forces with weapons used in the Vietnam War. The public is now

What The Corporate-Owned Media Won’t Tell You About The Arrests In Nicaragua
Nicaragua has been under heavy fire from the corporate-owned media lately.
The government of Daniel Ortega has arrested several opposition figures in
the midst of an upcoming election. The US government and corporate media
have been expressing their outrage about what they consider to be the
growing dictatorial nature of the Ortega ‘regime’.
But there is more to the story than they let on. A deeper investigation
shows that the situation is not as clear-cut as they make out. And as is so
often the case with Latin America, it falls to independent media to add
some nuance and balance... read more
