Seawolf: The 1 Submarine the Navy Wants to Keep Ultra Secret

WHAT THE BELLWETHER TELLS

Editor at Dances With Bears - 20 hours ago
By John Helmer, Moscow In medieval sheep-herding practice it was customary to hang a bell around a single sheep in the flock to alert the shepherd to where they were heading. The shepherd used to castrate the bellwether ram first, so his bell didn’t ring needlessly. Doubts about his leadership of the flock are natural. […]

Air Battle: Russia's Su-57 vs. America's Stealth F-22 (Which Is Better?)

David Axe at Test Feed Using Fields - 20 hours ago
*David Axe* *Security, Europe* FACT: The F-22 flies combat missions almost every day. The Su-57 might never do so. Russia's Su-57 stealth fighter is a more versatile and a better ground-attacker than America's own F-22 is, one of Russia's top warplane-designers insisted. Neither of these things is the unqualified truth. More importantly, neither of them would matter even if they were true. Eight years after its first flight, Russia's only stealth fighter is still just a crude prototype. Any comparison to the F-22, which has been in front-line service for 13 years and has been ... more »

Australian goat industry: High demand pushes prices up in 2017

I caught on to this story rather recently, although i had noticed the appearance of an actual goat meat cooler in my local supermarket. That always means organized supply somewhere. Turns out Ausytralia is in the middle of it. Turns out they had the same problem with goats as we have with our burdening deer populations. They started drives to gather them from the bush and then took then out to fatten them on superior wetter country. My guess is that goat meat will catch up to sheep globally and the bulk will be Australian. We need to do the same with or moose, deer and the lik... more »

‘Microdosers’ of LSD and magic mushrooms are wiser and more creative

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 21 hours ago
We have several natural substances which are clearly mind altering. Micro dosing has been indicated as a useful clinical methodology to assist the brain to make beneficial changes. Recall that the brain evolves slowly to stimulus such as education. Even memory evolves inside the brain. Thus the case for micro dosing is compelling as we can monitor those changes far better that way. A PTSD patient has pretty specific issues that are readily observed and identified. Applying small doses of CBD and mapping those changes is a far better strategy than simply going for it. Y... more »
