The ULTIMATE Harry Potter Party
When my daughter asked for a Harry Potter party, I may have freaked out. I have thrown her Angry Bird parties, a Guardians of the Galaxy party and she finally asked me for a party that I was passionate about when I had the time and energy to devote to it. It got out of control from the very first steps of planning, but the kids had an absolute blast and it was worth every moment. I am really lucky that my husband is a graphic designer, so he was able to make some awesome things for the party that you can download to! Just follow links below to download each thing. Russia Is Developing Their Own Railgun
*Sputnik:* *Future Weapon and More: What Russia's Railgun Can Really Do* A team of Russian scientists has successfully tested the country's first railgun, which relies on electromagnetic forces rather than explosives or propellant. According to experts at the Institute of High Temperatures’ branch in Shatura, just outside Moscow, the railgun can fire shells at an incredibly fast speed of 3 kilometers per second, which is well enough to cut through any type of armor existing today. During the latest test, a 15 gram plastic cylinder fired by the railgun went through an aluminum plat... more »
Traveling Abroad In The Age Of Trump? Wear Dark Clothes
Roland and I just got back from 3 weeks in Thailand. People there aren’t obsessing over Trump. Thailand, which I started visiting first for holidays, then for business and now for holidays again, is a profoundly pro-American country. But pro-American culturally, not necessarily politically. Without exception, people who mentioned Trump to me, did it humorously— which is pretty much how people I met last summer in Russia also referred to him. Predicting 2017: The Rise of Synthetic Intelligence
