I generally don't blog to much about family since I'm a pretty private
person but in this case, I will gladly make an exception to the rule. To
say that my mom has been the rock of my existence would be an gross

*"Man's Search for Meaning"*
by Viktor E. Frankl
"Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl is among the most
influential works of psychiatric literature since Freud. The book begins
with a lengthy, austere, and deeply moving personal essay about Frankl's
imprisonment in Auschwitz and other concentration camps for five years, and
his struggle during this time to find reasons to live. The second part of
the book, called "Logotherapy in a Nutshell," describes the
psychotherapeutic method that Frankl pioneered as a result of his
experiences in the concentration camps. Freud believ... more »

Fatalism is the path of the irresponsible and cowardly
We hear much these days of the 'clash of civilisations' and the need to
find common ground to heal the wounds of the world. This is liberal
thinking and as one would expect, is a misdirection of thought. There is
no clash of civilisations. The root of all our woes is a clash of thought
processes. The very essence of the conflict of peoples of diverse cultures
and origins, is the split between those who believe that everything is
predestined, and those who believe in the need to be self-reliant and
exercise free will.
When we look at the lunatic rantings of Moslems, Jews and Chri... more »

Taste The Rainbow Cupcake

I love St. Patrick's Day. It is a low stress holiday that involves lots of
rainbows and fun little crafts, but nothing huge. It makes it the perfect
holiday to make fun food, because you aren't worried about making a huge

Every year, I let my daughter help make Rainbow Cupcakes. Nothing is so fun
as the multi-colored creations. This year we wanted something different for
the top of our cupcakes and so we opted for Skittles. Skittles are actually
perfect for cakes. Setting the Skittles in the frosting softens... more »

“On Friday, we learned that the official “unemployment rate” has fallen to
5.5 percent. Since an unemployment rate of 5 percent is considered to be

this as a sign that the U.S. economy has almost fully “recovered” since the

Iraq Goes On The Offensive In Salahadin, Kirkuk and Anbar
At the start of March 2015, the Iraqi government launched multiple
offensives to squeeze the Islamic State in the western and northern
sections of the country. The Tikrit operation was the largest to date, but
there was a supporting move by the Kurdish peshmerga into southern Kirkuk
to cut off supply lines to Salahaddin province, along with a sweep through
eastern Anbar to try to secure western Baghdad’s suburbs. IS responded with
a huge wave of suicide car bombs, which failed to stop the advances. There
was little doubt that the government was going to win in these fights, but

Review - Boom, Bust, Boom: A Story About Copper, the Metal That Runs the World by Bill Carter
At one time, I lived in Arizona. On weekends, wanting to get to know our
new home, we explored the state.
On one particular trip, as we wound down a mountain road, we came upon a
fenced area with tons of warning signs. Do not enter, Danger, No
Trespassing signs were huge and placed everywhere. The ones with a scull
and crossbones made me shiver! We wondered what we had stumbled upon ...
and whether we were someplace where we shouldn't be. I checked the map to
be sure that we hadn't wandered off our course and determined that we were
on the right road. Still ... it was rather creepy.... more »

Chet Raymo, "Perchance To Dream”
*"Perchance To Dream”*
by Chet Raymo
“I believe I mentioned here a year or two ago how so many of my current
dreams are set in the house and city I grew up in - 4106 Anderson Avenue,
Chattanooga, Tennessee. Never in any of the other places I have lived,
including this house in New England in which I have spent the great
majority of my adult life. No. Always the white colonial on Anderson Avenue
and a distorted but recognizable Chattanooga.
These dreams are becoming more common. So much so that I wonder to what
extent this phenomenon is shared by others in my age cohort, and what it... more »

Negotiations With Iran*
*In 2008, the Bush administration, along with the “six powers,” was
negotiating with Iran concerning that country’s nuclear arms program. The
Bush administration’s objective was to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear
weapons. On July 20, 2008, the New York Times headlined: “Nuclear Talks

Rip-off News Round-up Banker Special: Our pick of the last year's media

we all know, the country went into a tailspin following the collapse of
the banks, both here and abroad. You can say what you like about the
Tory LibDem government's attempts to turn the country around, and the
opposition's criticism of it. But one thing is for sure. Whoever is
paying for the crisis, it's clearly not our top bankers.

The Great Roswell Hoaxes
The Roswell UFO crash case seems to be a lightning rod for all sorts of
hoaxes, many of which have gained international attention. They began
almost from the moment that we all learned that something had fallen near
Roswell that certainly wasn’t a standard weather balloon. After the
publication of *The Roswell Incident* Bill Moore complained that he had
taken the investigation as far as he could and told several people that he
was thinking of creating a “Roswell” type document in an attempt to
convince the reluctant witnesses to talk. The blueprint for this document

Constructive dismissal
Potter *v.* New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission, 2015 SCC 10:
The test for constructive dismissal has two branches.
The court must first identify an express or implied contract term that has
been breached and then determine whether that breach was sufficiently
serious to constitute constructive dismissal. However, an employer's
conduct will also constitute constructive dismissal if it more generally
shows that the employer intended not to be bound by the contract. This
approach is necessarily retrospective, as it requires consideration of the

Rising Enemy Within: Private Police Fits New World Order Script

First I want to say that many corporate (security) sympathizers tend to
defend private policing, but this article will debunk all their arguments
and show how private policing is the end-all end-game ultimate threat to
freedom in America and humanity as a whole, all in the name of protecting
corporate profits $ while working hand in hand with government for their
greater long-term new world order plans.
In 2014 I covered the rising threat of private security now arresting
