Fwd: Broad sorry for minimum wage tweet per BBC sport
The BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/31011948 that England
cricketer Stuart Broad is sorry for tweeting that:
> "I've heard if you earn minimum wage in England you're in the top 10%
> earners in the world. #stay #humble."
>
> Oddly the BBC don't say whether what Stuart Broad tweeted was true or not.
> That's the trouble with the BBC, they really aren't interested in facts,
> preferring the censorship of views that they and the other politically

The Taiwanese Navy's Newest Ship: The Panshih
[image: Panshih AOR]Eager to moderate the threat it faces from an
increasingly sophisticated China, Taiwan has been investing heavily in
modernizing its naval capabilities.
As part of that effort, Taipei recently welcomed a U.S. Senate decision to
approve the sale of four Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates for its navy.
While Taiwan purchases a considerable amount of military hardware from the
United States, it also has a vibrant indigenous defense industry.

Ukraine Arms Embargo Could Delay Delivery of Russian Frigates
[image: Admiral Gorshkov (Project 22350)]The Ukrainian military equipment
embargo to Russia could cause delays in the construction of the Russian
Navy’s new class of frigates and slow a planned modernization effort of
Russia’s northern fleet, according to a Monday report in Jane’s Defence
Weekly.
Russia’s 4,500 ton Admiral Gorshkov-class frigates (Project 22350) is
powered – in part – by two M90FR gas turbines built by with Ukrainian
manufacturer Zorya-Mashproekt.
With the embargo in place the task has shifted to Russian manufacturer NPO
Saturn without the aid of the Ukrainians.

an advanced air defense system to ensure its protection.

also reflect that this was an ideal refugia and that the establishment was

Sociology: "Shame On The Rich"
*"Shame On The Rich"*
by Elizabeth Norton
“For fans of the British upstairs-downstairs TV series “Downton Abbey,”
skullduggery may seem evenly distributed among the social ranks. But in
real life, it's the upper classes that are more likely to behave
dishonorably, according to new research. Observers of human nature have
long puzzled over the possibility of an ethical class divide. On the one
hand, people with fewer resources and dimmer prospects might be expected to
do whatever's necessary to get ahead. On the other, wealthy types may be
more focused on themselves, because money, ... more »

Supplemental: This just in from our nation of sheep!
*TUESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2015Someone finally clarifies a few basic bone-simple
points:* The Deflategate stampede has demonstrated how easy it is to get a
whole nation to recite a deeply flawed script.
By how much were the Patriots’ footballs under-inflated last week? The NFL
hasn’t yet stated its findings!
But so what? The entire nation is reciting a set of claims derived from a
murkily-phrased account in a leak from an anonymous source.
Such claims routinely turn out to be wrong. But so what? As of now, the
entire nation is reciting a bunch of unconfirmed claims.

Czech president: a UNSC raid needed to erase ISIS from the face of Earth
Exactly 70 years ago, on January 27th, 1945, the worst extermination camp
in the world history, Auschwitz, was liberated by the Red Army. Many
politicians who came to that place have completely misunderstood the fact
that the main official commemorative ceremonies actually don't take place
in Poland but in Czechia – in Prague and Terezín, a smaller concentration
camp – where they are organized by Moshe Kantor's ECJ (European Jewish
Congress).
At the end, the two different ceremonies didn't overlap because they were

The time will never come
Is the time coming to lay the Holocaust to rest? asks the BBC.
That was supposed to be the Big Question they were addressing on Sunday
morning.
I can think of many other “Is the time coming?” subjects worth questioning,
and many other institutions of whom ‘laid to rest’ would be a good basis
for a TV debate.
This very question seems outrageous and insulting. Laying the Holocaust to
rest means what, exactly? Putting it behind you? Shrugging it off?
On the audio version (BBC World service) of ‘BBC Trending’, the presenters
playfully explored the best pitch to voice “Shake it off”. ... more »

If you believe the official pronouncements of top governmental health
agencies like the CDC and FDA, all the vaccines in the present day schedule
are *a priori* safe and effective.
Not only are you told that they can't harm you, but that *not taking them* can
kill you.
Parents are under even more pressure. They are told that refraining from

'The Times They Are A Changin'
Nielsen's 2014 annual review of the music industry has negative signs in
front of chain store sales (-20%), total new album sales (-14%), and sales
of new songs online (-10.3%), with only positive signs in front of
streaming music and vinyl album sales. This is despite CD sales in the US
generating some $141 million last year.
Many believe that the book trade should learn from the digital revolution
that is taking place within the music business. The reality is that the
music business is very different and right across the music business there
is both evolution and revolution. So... more »

RCMP Constable David Wynn
Constable Wynn was murdered while performing his duties as a sworn
officer of the law and by all accounts was a pretty good guy who leaves
behind a wife and children who will never see him again. He was a former
paramedic who joined the Mounties and did a nasty, occasionally
dangerous, often thankless, probably often frustrating job that the vast

Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology - tiny metal sphere from space - real panspermia evidence?
Professor Milton Wainwright and his team from the University of Sheffield
and the University of Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology sent balloons 27km
into the sky to collect debris from space and isolated several particles
including this tiny metal sphere that has a gooey organic core.
But then it gets weird... yes, after an opening like that 'it gets weird'.
*“It is a ball about the width of a human hair, which has filamentous life
on the outside and a gooey biological material oozing from its centre,” he
said.“We were stunned when X-ray analysis showed that the sphere is mad... more »

Russian military technology during a talk show on the state-run Rossiya 1

Is America's Dominance Below the Seas Coming to an End?
[image: USS Pittsburgh (SSN-720)]U.S. defense strategy depends in large
part on America’s advantage in undersea warfare.
Multiple Quadrennial Defense Reviews, National Military Strategies, and
Congressional hearing statements highlight how quiet submarines, in
particular, are one of the American military’s most viable means of
gathering intelligence and projecting power in the face of mounting
anti-access and area denial (A2/AD) threats being fielded by a growing
number of countries.
America’s superiority in undersea warfare results from decades of research

The Market’s Gift: Low Clothing Prices
Clothing is no better example of capitalism at work in an unregulated
environment. The manufacturer must seriously over produce just to have all
prospective sizes in stock at the end of the retail system.
Thus there is always end of season product that cannot be sold. At the same
moment a hundred competitors fill those same outlets with fresh product.
Thus the whole industry is working against a rush to market mentality and
this puts massive downward pressure.
It is so chaotic and so impossible to regulate, it seems governments have
actually dodged the industry. As well ... more »
The Takenouchi Manuscripts
I am revisiting this topic. We can make certain observations that
presently conform with other cultural evidence and material evidence.
1 The Chrysanthemum symbol shows up and this is an important expression
of the theoretical basis of the physical world and conforms to my
expectations regarding the most ancient documentation. Sumeria also shows
this symbol.
2 Pyramids were used to communicate off planet. This provides a
rational basis for the world wide distribution and their sometimes curious
locations.
3 Initial management was through long lived 'god' rul... more »
Archaeologists in China Find 2,800-Year Old Tombs Surrounded by 28 Chariots and 98 Horses
This is at the height of the late Bronze Age and conforms to the palace
system that was then global in scope but local in expression. That a
previous ruler had established statelets also fits what we have seen
elsewhere. .I do not think it was possible to operate otherwise and such a
system worked very well when all such statelets were separated by sea.
This described the Atlantean system while they dominated the copper trade.
Appling the same system with statelets sharing common borders was only an
invitation to warfare and empire building. Until continental warfare could... more »
US helping India keep tabs on Chinese submarines in Indian Ocean

Indian Ocean have worried Indian planners.
