*TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 2017Are Trump voters human:* Wouldn't you know it? On
last Sunday's Meet the Press, Scott Pruitt misstated a fact.
At Slate, Daniel Gross even whacks Chuck Todd. Easy to be hard:
GROSS (6/5/17): Environmental Protection Agency Administrator *Scott Pruitt

last year to most recently added almost 50,000 jobs in the coal sector. In
the month of May alone, almost 7,000 jobs.”* Aside from being

New poll shows what college students really think about safe spaces
A majority of students do not actively endorse safe spaces on campuses,
according to a recently released study.
Sixty-two percent of students did not agree with or felt indifferent to
safe spaces, according to a poll of 1,659 current college students taken by
LendEDU, a student loan consolidation and refinancing organization. Of
those surveyed, 37 percent agreed that safe spaces “are completely out of

Or was it the result of misguided U.S. policies?
In the latest issue of Survival, Hal Brands and Peter Feaver address an
important debate in American foreign policy circles. Was the rise of ISIS
inevitable, or was it the result of misguided U.S. policies? Most agree it
is the latter, but the dispute gets fraught on the question of whether it
was U.S. military interventionism or inaction that deserves the blame. Some
say it was the invasion of Iraq that led to the rise of ISIS. Others insist

TRUMP'S PRESIDENCY FALLS APART AND WE'RE STILL ARGUING OVER WHETHER HE'S AN AUTOCRAT

Choctaw Nation: The first American native code talkers ever to serve in the US military
Nineteen Choctaw men have been documented as being the first to use their
own language as a “code” to transmit military messages.
During the first world war, with the tapping of the American Army’s phone
lines, the Germans were able to learn the location of where the Allied
Forces were stationed, as well as where sup-plies were kept. When the
Choctaw men were put on the phones and talked in their Native speech, the
Germans couldn’t effectively spy on the trans-missions.

can't help but feel that the oligarchies would love for us to wander around
the wilderness with a sense of disempowerment that comes from having no

much more discriminating about which media, politicians, organizations, and

Affirming a Macehual or Gente de Maiz Identity. Part I of 2

Why Germany's New Super Stealth Submarines Could Take on Any Navy

Super stealth and super dangerous.
The German Navy was a pioneer in large-scale submarine warfare, its U-boats
able to contest the United Kingdom’s superior navy in ways that German
surface warships could not. While modern-day Germany no longer has the
ocean-spanning naval ambitions of its predecessors, it has become a global
leader in designing small, stealthy submarines that can effectively patrol
littoral waters at a fraction of the cost of nuclear-powered submarines.
The secret sauce in the new generation of German submarines is the use ... more »

It appears that Trump might have started losing support among his Christian base.
Just a guess really.
But what isn't a guess is that he is definitely losing support among the
military:
*An analysis of Gallup polling data comparing the first 100 days of Trump's
presidency to the month of May shows that Trump's job approval in military
counties dropped sharply in the last month — from an average 51 percent
approval and 41 percent disapproval in the first 100 days to 43 percent
approval and 52 percent disapproval for May.*
Still way too high as far as I'm concerned, but nice to see that some folks
are starting to remove the blinders from their eyes.

Today we are in the 16th year of a war begun on 9/11. We are mired down in
Libya, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Our victory in Afghanistan is being reversed
by the Taliban.

Will the BBC commemorate the day? If they do, how will they spin it to push
their anti Conservative Party agenda and boost Jeremy Corbyn?
The West's War on Free Speech
*June 6**, 2017* (Tony Cartalucci - NEO) - With a name like the "National
Democratic Institute" (NDI) one might expect the US State
Department-funded, corporate-financier chaired front to be the premier
proponent of freedom and democracy worldwide. And although it poses as
such, it does precisely the opposite. It uses principles like free speech,
democracy, press freedom, and human rights as a facade behind which it
carries out a politically motivated agenda on behalf of the special
interests that fund and direct its activities.
In a recent Tweet, NDI linked to a New York Times art... more »
Germany To Pull Its Forces From Turkey's Incirlik Air Base
*DW: **German troops at Incirlik, Turkey 'ready for a transfer'*
In light of Turkey's decision to block a lawmakers' visit, Sigmar Gabriel
said that Germany would soon start the process of finding another location
for its troops. The defense minister said Jordan is one possibility.
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Monday said that Turkey will continue
to block a delegation of German lawmakers from visiting the strategic
Incirlik air base.
"At the moment, a visit to the NATO base in Konya is possible, not
Incirlik," Cavusoglu said at a joint press conference in Ankara on Mond... more »
The embarrassing conversation that we need to have
I've heard politicians say that we need to have difficult, even
embarrassing, conversations about society in order to see how we can
counter Islamist terrorism.
A comment at isthebbcbiased.blogspot.co.uk

summed up what the politicians and the BBC should be asking but won't:
'"What's in the Koran and do you, UK Muslims, believe it is literally true
and that you are obliged to follow its commands?" Clear answers please, no
Taqiyya.'

"Where You Begin Again..."
"When we're headed toward an outcome that's too horrible to face, that's
when we go looking for a second opinion. And sometimes, the answer we get
just confirms our worst fears. But sometimes, it can shed new light on the
problem, make you see it in a whole new way. After all the opinions have
been heard and every point of view has been considered, you finally find
what you're after - the truth. But the truth isn't where it ends, that's
just where you begin again with a whole new set of questions."

“Curse thee, Life, I will live with thee no more!
Thou hast mocked me, starved me, beat my body sore!
And all for a pledge that was not pledged by me,
I have kissed thy crust and eaten sparingly
That I might eat again, and met thy sneers
With deprecations, and thy blows with tears,
Aye, from thy glutted lash, glad, crawled away,
As if spent passion were a holiday!
And now I go. Nor threat, nor easy vow
Of tardy kindness can avail thee now
With me, whence fear and faith alike are flown;
Lonely I came, and I depart alone,

“As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both

And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the

As the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in County of Los Angeles vs. Mendez makes
clear, Americans can no longer rely on the courts to mete out justice.

In 2013, a man named Eric L. Loomis was sentenced for eluding police and
driving a car without the owner’s consent.
When the judge weighed Loomis’ sentence, he considered an array of
evidence, including the results of an automated risk assessment tool called
COMPAS. Loomis’ COMPAS score indicated he was at a “high risk” of
committing new crimes. Considering this prediction, the judge sentenced him
to seven years.
Loomis challenged his sentence, arguing it was unfair to us... more »
