Trump, The Most Corrupt Occupant Of The White House In History, Forces Each Of His Cabinet Members To Publicly Lick His Fat Ass
I walked by a TV when Trump was beginning his make believe cabinet meeting Monday. It horrified me. From the look on Rex Tillerson's face, it appeared to horrify him as well. This is a mad house geared towards Trump's low-IQ base. Economic and Cyber Pirates
*== Pirates among us! ==* In “Piracy on the Cyber Seas,” in The American Interest, Adam Garfinkle compares the wave of hacker exploits and attacks to previous ages of physical piracy. He systematically goes through the classic traits of nation states and discusses whether nations can even survive an era when malefactors can act freely, without being subjected to accountability. It's an interesting read. Alas, the word “attribution” is sorely lacking, though all of the intel and military guys I talk to are now obsessed with it. If you can attribute bad actions - not only to perpetr... more »

"Stop Stress From Killing You"
"Stop Stress From Killing You" by Elizabeth Walling "What is stress? Physiologically, stress could be considered any event that triggers a marked response by the adrenal glands. In basic terms, this response is the release of cortisol. It's the body's natural reaction to any stressor. For occasional stressors, cortisol can provide a burst of benefits like increased energy, heightened reflexes and a higher threshold for pain. However, when stress is chronic, as it often is in modern society, cortisol levels can remain unnaturally high and lead to damaging effects, which include: • P... more »

Peaky Blinders Returns
*Peaky Blinders* Season 4 began filming in March I will admit it here (and I've admitted it in this blog previously) that the BBC Series, carried on Netflix, "*PEAKY BLINDERS*" is one of my all time favorites. Season 4 is filming, and Season 5 has been authorized and will likely begin filming as soon as Season 5 is a wrap. There is no word on Season 6, but there has been talk of a feature film/movie. It takes a lot for me to get excited about a television series, but I have to admit that I'm eagerly anticipating Season 4, to be released in the October 2017 timeframe. From Blogs on ... more »

TRUMP WILL PROBABLY FIRE MUELLER, BECAUSE HE CAN
You can read this piece by Jack Goldsmith, a former senior legal adviser in George W. Bush's administration, if you want to understand the possible mechanics of a Robert Mueller dismissal by the Trump White House. Greg Sargent offers a summary: The short version: Justice Department regulations permit the attorney general — in this case, it would be deputy Rod J. Rosenstein, because Jeff Sessions has recused himself — to remove the special counsel if he engages in misconduct or “for other good cause.” But Trump could try to invent a “good cause” and order Rosenstein to fire Mueller. ... more »

This Was the Exact Day the Battleship Became Completely Obsolete
*Robert Farley* *Security, * *Military technological revolutions rarely happen all at one time; they generally result from the evolution of several unrelated trends that “suddenly” result in new military realities. This was surely the case of the transition from battleship to aircraft carrier; notwithstanding Billy Mitchell’s offenses against the captured German battleship Ostfriesland, aircraft of the interwar period generally lacked the capacity to destroy modern battleships under steam. By 1941 this had changed, however; competent aviators, in sufficient numbers, flying advanc... more »
