Retrospective
I must admit that I've found it hard to write anything this week, especially since Muslim terrorists targeted girls and young women enjoying a pop concert in Manchester. Four of my friends at work (all female) were at the Manchester Arena in the days immediately before the attack, watching their beloved Take That. They and their families have, therefore, had quite a week themselves, wondering 'What if?'. What on earth could *I *add to *that*, especially as I had absolutely nothing new or helpful to say? The apparently random targeting of an Ariana Grande concert was hard to make... more »

Nehlen's Not Going To Nail Ryan In 2018 But There Is A Candidate Who Will
Far right Trump-worshipping crackpot Paul Nehlen wants a rematch. He's challenging Paul Ryan in Ryan's southeast Wisconsin congressional district to a primary battle again. In 2016 Nehlen put up $62,766 of his own and raised another $1,379,852 in a clash with Ryan. Nehlen was the Breitbart candidate and had very vocal support from Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter and Phyllis Schlafly. That kind of lunatic fringe support may help account for Ryan crushing him with 57,364 votes (84.1%) to Nehlen's 10,864 (15.9%). In 2018 Ryan will be vulnerable to a solid Democratic challenge. Cable excitement at its best!
*SATURDAY, MAY 27, 2017Though we'll add what the New York Times said:* Last evening's cable news excitement was excitement at its best. At the appointed hour, the Washington Post had posted its latest blockbuster/bombshell. On CNN and MSNBC, everyone knew what to do. Needless to say, this latest bombshell had come from unnamed sources behind a screen—from the unnamed people who now dole out our nightly dollops of "news." The One Big Reason Russia Might Lose a War Against America
*Robert Beckhusen* *Security, * And Putin can thank Syria for this. An air campaign requires a sprawling, complicated supply chain. Fire enough missiles and drop enough bombs, which require a heavy investment in materials and chemicals, and there will come a point when the logistics trail starts to strain. Nearly 20 months into Russia’s intervention in Syria’s civil war, the strain is starting to show. Russia has heavily relied on airpower to support Syrian dictator Bashar Al Assad. This Is Why the World Should Fear India's Nuclear Weapons
*Kyle Mizokami* *Security, * It’s not huge, but it’s getting more capable. India, the world’s most populous democracy, occupies a unique strategic position flanked by powerful adversaries. As a result, its 1.3 billion people are guarded by an arsenal of approximately one hundred nuclear weapons deployed on land, at sea and in the air. Despite its status as a Cold War holdout, the country was forced to develop its own nuclear weapons. India’s nuclear program dates back to 1948, just one year after independence. The Nehru government looked to nuclear power as an inexpensive energy... more »
America's Missile Defenses Against North Korea Have a Big Problem (They Only Work Half the Time)
*Sebastien Roblin* *Security, Americas* What could go wrong—besides millions of dead Americans? The conventional wisdom used to be that once an intercontinental ballistic missile shoots off from its silo into the exosphere, the best you could do was brace yourself for a mushroom cloud. There was simply no defense that could conceivably shoot one down. However, the United States today possesses a potential ace in its hand to defeat such an attack—or, more precisely, thirty-six aces. The protracted process for their revision has apparently become a “bottleneck” for the PLA’s advances in joint operations and training. Evidently, its attempts to update these doctrinal documents in response... more »

By Ron Jacobs The deep state is not some enigmatic entity that operates outside the US government. It is the US state itself. Like all elements of that state, the so-called deep state exists to enforce the economic supremacy of US capitalism. It does so primarily via the secret domestic and international police forces like the FBI, CIA and other intelligence agencies. The operations of these agencies run the gamut from surveillance to propaganda to covert and overt military actions. Naturally, this so-called deep state operates according to their own rules; rules which ultima... more »

Re-Uniting with the Dolphins
*Read More →* It has been long obvious that the dolphin is the sea version of humanity. It is clearly intelligent, retains mind to mind communication and is seriously over engineered for its environment just as we are. We need to develop tools for them. they can use them. We also need to work with them in developing successful husbandry systems and have them manage same. Sounds ambitious but it all becomes viable with mind to mind work. Look here to observe a dolphin doing mind probe work on the tourists. One way to ensure safety. And yes they love private corrals such as... more »
Astronomers discover musical link to survival of newly discovered solar system
As i posted before these systems generate a metric based on the number of vertices including the star. That metric then generates a natural identity that the system converges back to in the face of any small disturbance. It obviously looks like resonance but is integral to the whole system and is the natural stable solution available. All multi body systems will exhibit this characteristic. Please reference my paper in Physics Essays (AIP) june 2010 to understand nth ordered metrics or nth ordered Pythagoreans. . *Astronomers discover musical link to survival of newly discover... more »
Alcohol Consumption and Demonic Possession
We have been trained to accept alcohol use. I do not have a problem with that per se but also understand that it takes serious effort to actually adopt a protocol that allows safe usage with no risk of having too much. The best for most is a single glass of wine with a meal. I already understand that the bad spirit good spirit issue is no figment of our collective imagination. We all are possessors of an information dense spirit body that can exit the body. This item informs us that it can be driven out because it has become unpleasent. Kolbrin - The Book of Gleanings - Chpt 17 - Song of the Soul
What we have is is amazing. It is a reflection of the soul or even the spirit body. My own contemplation have led me to separate soul from spirit and also to understand soul as design, blueprint or master plan which we also strive to tweak by asking the key question 'is this good'. More rigorously we are addressing the critical sixth operator implied in natural symbolic logic which addresses the validity of the other operators in their action of converting domain to range. We simply ask if the outcome is good or true. All this presages GOD. That this has ever been written at... more »

Will we continue an Enlightenment Civilization… or return to Feudalism?

Seventy years of Pax Americana and a rising enlightenment civilization, based on science and fact and at least somewhat-mature argument, were never easy to maintain. How Argentina Tried to Build a Nazi Jet Fighter
*Michael Peck* *Security, Americas* Hitler’s dream to Peron’s reality? After World War II, Argentina gained a reputation for taking in characters with checkered pasts. Not only was it a haven for Nazis fleeing justice, but it turns out that Argentina turned to Reich scientists and French traitors to build a jet fighter in the 1940s based on a design originally intended for Hitler’s Luftwaffe. Russia is Bringing Back Its World War II 'Shock Armies'
*Michael Peck* *Security, * Moscow is merely using the glories and heroism of the Red Army of the Great Patriotic War to motivate its soldiers of today. During World War II, one of the weapons that the Soviet Union employed to destroy Nazi Germany was the “Shock Army.” These were reinforced army-sized formations used to tear holes in the German lines for Soviet tanks to exploit. Now Russia plans to bring back Shock units. Yet lest anyone fear this is a prelude to a Russian blitz of Ukraine or the Baltic states, the title “Shock” will be an honorific reward for units that perform... more »

If Europe Really Worried About Russia, It Would Get Serious About Defense Spending
*Doug Bandow* *Security, Europe* Ignore what they say. Look at what they do. NATO leaders got acquainted with President Donald Trump this week. One can only imagine what they thought of the Donald. Their main objective was to reinforce the efforts of his aides to turn him into a traditional American cheerleader for European dependence. For those seeking to revive an alliance created almost seventy years ago, in a vastly different time, Russia has resumed its role as the “necessary” enemy. The organization faded in relevance—indeed, lost its raison d’être—but recently reasserted ... more »
We Now Have Clear Proof Why the F-22 Raptor Would Dominate over Russia (or Anyone)
*Dave Majumdar* *Security, * And why cancelling the F-22’s production run after only 187 production aircraft were built will continue to haunt the Air Force well into the future. The United States Air Force’s fleet of stealthy Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor fifth-generation air superiority fighters is proving to be invaluable over the skies of Iraq and Syria. While the powerful twin-engine stealth fighter does not have to worry about dealing with an ISIS air force, the aircraft does offer the USAF the ability to operate inside potentially dangerous areas protected by advanced Russ... more »

Lessons From Montana’s Special Election Of May 25
