Not only Americans, but much of the world accepts any statement out of Washington as the truth despite the evidence. For example, Obama arranged for a chemical weapon to be exploded in Syria and blamed it on Assad. Thus, the Red Line had been crossed and America would now invade. However, the Russians removed all chemical weapons from Syria, forcing the American armada to return to base. More recently Washington rolled out this hoax a second time by alleging that Assad had used “Sarin gas against his own people.” However, the photograpic evidence showed that the dead children were attended by persons without protective clothing and thus they too would have been dead had Sarin killed the kids.

How Plumbing and not Vaccines Eradicated Disease
It really was the discovery of the germ model for disease and then understanding the need for clean water that got all this working. the more obvious global sewage problem was never going to get solved until we got rid of horses. It is noteworthy that the ancients did develop excellent sewage systems frm time to time likely where no significant draft animals were used. Thus once the need for clean water was simply recognized, common sense took over and secure water and plumbing emerged quickly along with real sewage removal as well. After all running clean water immediately ... more »

Humanity could have arrived in the Americas as early as perhaps 200,000 years ago when they were likely created. they may not have arrived under their own steam either. Their survival as scattered hunting bands would have left us scant remains. Dismissing early human presence is based on the idea that the ocean could not be crossed at all. Patrick Lin started it. We all encounter these situations from time to time. Something unexpected happens and you have to make a split second decision. A pedestrian steps onto the road and you don’t see him until the last minute: do you slam on the brakes or swerve to avoid? Consumer Reports: Obamacare reduced bankruptcy rate
A new article at consumerreports.org suggests that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act* (PPACA) played a substantial role in the decline of annual personal bankruptcies that we have seen since the high of 1.5 million in 2010. As I showed several years ago, international bankruptcy data support the oft-heard claim that medical bills make up one of the biggest, if not the biggest, causes of personal bankruptcy. That is, if the United States has a bunch of medical bankruptcies and other countries don't, all other things equal you would expect the U.S. to have a higher overal... more »

Since 1979, she explained in a speech at Brown University, women have brought about most gains in real household income. Making life easier for working moms helps women enter and stay in the workforce and in turn boosts economic growth, Yellen reasoned. The most common solutions to this sort of problem involve hiring more police officers or working more closely with community members. I think President Trump fired James Comey for the obvious reason: that Comey is still looking into the Trump team's links to Russia -- or, as Matt Yglesias writes, to maintain some other cover-up: An FBI inquiry that started with a hard look at Trump associates’ possible ties to the Russian government could easily have turned up some totally unrelated criminal misconduct. By the same token, it’s entirely possible that whatever it is Trump is covering up by refusing to release his tax returns has nothing to do with Russian bribes or blackmail.
