Trump: The first ‘post-knowledge’ candidate
As Donald Trump gains more delegates in today’s vote, several friends have been posting Steve Riker’s comment on The Donald, which perfectly complements what I posted this morning: *Donald Trump has positioned himself as the post-knowledge candidate. Virtually every stance he takes is the polar opposite of what he claimed last year, last week, or even ten minutes ago. * *Many electrons have been killed, trying to point this out to Trump fans. Literally thousands of articles have been written, pointing out that Trump is not what he claims to be, that he's not a conservative, ... more »

Saudi Arabia's Oil Weapon Is Back-Firing
*Andrew Scott Cooper, New York Times*: *How Saudi Arabia Turned Its Greatest Weapon on Itself* FOR the past half-century, the world economy has been held hostage by just one country: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Vast petroleum reserves and untapped production allowed the kingdom to play an outsize role as swing producer, filling or draining the global system at will. The 1973-74 oil embargo was the first demonstration that the House of Saud was willing to weaponize the oil markets. In October 1973, a coalition of Arab states led by Saudi Arabia abruptly halted oil shipments in re... more »

According to recent data by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) CO2 is having very little impact on climate change – according to their own data the earth hasn’t had an increase in warmth for the last 58 years. Realclimatescience.com reports: In their “hottest year ever” press briefing, NOAA included this graph, which stated that they have a 58 year long radiosonde temperature record. But they only showed the last 37 years in the graph. Here is why they are hiding the rest of the data. The earlier data showed as much pre-1979 cooling as the post-1979 warming. ... more »

March 15: The things we cannot have.
The good thing about growing up poor (the only good thing) is that you get accustomed very, very young to the idea there are things you cannot have. As I thought of this topic, it occured to me that I didn't have a pair of winter boots until I was thirteen. What I had, from age five, was somebody's old pair of rubber boots. They were too big for me, of course, but over the years, I filled them, then overfilled them. By age ten or so, they had become annoying, then painful. Then, lucky for me, the war ended, and within a couple of years, the stores were filling up with cheap, war sur... more »

The Ukraine Conflict’s Nazi Heritage
Few Westerners, particularly Americans, understand the ugly history behind the Nazi-affiliated movements that have gained substantial power in today’s U.S.-backed Ukrainian regime. Western propaganda has made these right-wing extremists the “good guys” versus the Russian “bad guys” in the Ukraine Conflict, as Jonathan Marshall explains. Lviv, a city in Western Ukraine, has for nearly a century been a breeding ground of extreme Ukrainian nationalism, spawning terrorist movements, rabid anti-Semitism, and outright pro-Nazi political organizations that continue to pollute the country’s... more »

The Passing of Professor Reuben Hasson
I was deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Emeritus Reuben Hasson on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Anyone who knew Professor Hasson knew a man of great wit and character. I will admit to disagreeing with him more often than not but he was always fair, courteous and respectful (even when, to my mind, totally wrong!!!). Professor Hasson had passionate concern for poor and vulnerable members of society. He was an academic lawyer to the highest degree... more »

Iran wants to “do business” with New Zealand again, its very smooth ambassador here glossing over what he acknowledges are some human rights “problems” – you know, minor stuff like executing children, turning a blind eye to attacks on unveiled women, and throwing gays off tall buildings – which should all be ignored, he blandishes, in favour of all of us looking at the bigger picture: more NZ lambs on Iranian plates for more Iranian oil in New Zealand cars. The \(\pi\) day: what's the product of all primes?

Odin Rising - Human Origin, Purple Dawn & Saturn Theory - water world inhabitants
so, I'm looking at all-other-kindsa Saturn-based or Saturnalia or Set-god videos. I know, I know, this is a massive dirty filthy steaming crock of shit-storminess, right ... then I found this Purple Dawn video from youtuber Odin Rising about man's origins close to the planet of Saturn, actually within its glowing plasma sheath; Saturn began its life as a brown dwarf star. This theory of the amalgamating-formation of the (current) Solar System via competing plasma ejections is mad and wild and crazy and maybe that's one reason why I'd never heard of it before. But it's (il-logical... more »

Russia "Withdrawing" From Syria?
*March 15, 2016 *(Tony Cartalucci - LD) Russia spent only 1/50th of its annual defense budget during its ops in Syria - that is based on the most upward estimates of what would be the annual costs and Russia has only been in Syria for 5 months. Its defense export agency, Rosoboronexport, brought in 15 times the amount of money estimated to have been spent on Syria in 2015, and expects to bring in a similar amount in 2016. Despite claims - or perhaps hopes - that Russia's latest move was predicated on financial woes, it is much more likely it is a grand gesture of deescalation in Sy... more »
US Invites Thai Fugitive Mass Murderer to NYC
*March 15, 2016* (Tony Cartalucci - NEO) - US special interests have been pursuing a decades-long regional agenda in Southeast Asia in an attempt to create a united supranational front with which to confront Beijing. Exposed first in the "Pentagon Papers" in the 1970's, it was revealed that three fronts existed along which the US sought to "contain" China; the Japan-Korea front; the India-Pakistan front; and the Southeast Asia front. Make way: Move the port
Auckland was born and grew up because of its port, but in its maturity that doesn’t mean its harbour should be saddled with it. I readily admit that I find the whole discussion about the Auckland port expansion rather odd. Not just for aesthetic reasons. Auckland is blessed with a stunning natural harbour. Why ... more »
