Ali G Loves Romans... And Brunch; Caitlin Jenner Really Hates Hillary; And Marcy Kaptur Endorses Bernie
No matter how horrid a monster, Ted Cruz acknowledges all his fanatic racist and bigoted endorsers. He's always "proud" to be endorsed by someone advocating stoning gay people to death or firebombing women's health clinics. But Caitlin Jenner was a step too far. When the reality show celebrity endorsed him he ignored the vote of confidence. And when she offered to be his "trans ambassador," he refused to comment. Undaunted, she's been pretty vicious towards Hillary Clinton, even using her Kardashian spin-off show-- one of the most universally panned TV shows in the history of the... more »

Developing a Superhero Campaign: Finalized Rules Decision
After a number of iterations. I've settled on a game engine for a superhero campaign. In the end I'll be using Steven Kenson's Icons. For those unfamiliar with Icons, it is a bit of a hybrid of Fate and TSR's Marvel Superheroes RPGs. Let's take a look at a sample character in Icons, an adversary taken from the main rulebook. Fate uses Fate (or Fudge) dice, 4dF. The Fate dice are six sided dice, with 2 sides marked with a plus, 2 with a minus, and 2 blank. A 4dF roll gives a range of -4 to 4. Icons uses a similar mechanic - essentially it involves rolling d6-d6 to generate a range... more »

Recently declassified CIA documents reveal the horrific depths to which a U.S. government-sponsored mind control program (MK Ultra) sank to in the 1950’s and 60’s. Important Video: ALL America's Wars Begin With False Flags (And World War III Will Too)
Being a true student of history, I do find it remarkable that in the last 239 years of America's history, there has only been at most 30+ years where the American republic was not in an actual shooting war, or involved in a war by proxy or through "false flag" operations, across the planet.... Free Education Is A Good Investment For Any Society That Wants To Stay Vibrant
I was a little disappointed yesterday. One of the guys from the Progressive Caucus called and we went over the new progressive budget proposal. People ‘Blissfully Unaware’ Of Looming Nuclear Catastrophe, Warns Expert
Former US defense secretary William Perry warns that there is a greater risk of a nuclear catastrophe threatening the entire planet now than at any point during the Cold War. Perry says that rogue states and unpredictable leaders coupled with regional conflicts and terrorism is leaving the world vulnerable to an accidental nuclear Armageddon. During a a lecture at Stanford University he said: “Today the danger of some sort of nuclear catastrophe is greater than it was during the Cold War and most people are blissfully unaware of this danger.” Daily Express reports: He said there wa... more »

Damages
I recently read an American case where a sportscaster received a judgment for over $50,000,000 for the harm cause when a peeping tom took some nude pictures of her in a hotel. The hotel was at fault and had been careless in protecting the sportscaster's privacy. I thought more about the case. The sportscaster had not lost a job or any material assets; indeed she had thrived professionally since the incident. She was not physically injured. Her losses, and they were real, were from the hurt and humiliation suffered. Certainly that loss is worth something but is it really worth over ... more »

Politics: “Will Donald Trump End Up Like JFK?”
*“Will Donald Trump End Up Like JFK?”* by Bill Bonner “The inability of democratic assemblies to carry out what seems to be a clear mandate of the people will inevitably cause dissatisfaction with democratic institutions. Parliaments come to be regarded as ineffective “talking shops,” unable or incompetent to carry out the tasks for which they have been chosen. The conviction grows that if efficient planning is to be done, the direction must be “taken out of politics” and placed in the hands of experts – permanent officials or independent autonomous bodies.” - Friedrich Hayek AIKEN... more »
Campaign watch: The anatomy of a broken discourse!
*FRIDAY, MARCH 11, 2016Broken all the way down:* Our national discourse is thoroughly broken—broken all the way down. It's been this way for a very long time. The destruction has largely been the work of the "mainstream press corps," with a giant assist from decades of silence from our own "liberal" world. In what way is our discourse broken? “The Bank for International Settlements Warns a Catastrophe Is Coming”
*“The Bank for International Settlements Warns a Catastrophe Is Coming”* By Harry Dent “The Bank for International Settlements is nothing if not obscure. As the central bankers’ bank, it seems little-more than a back-door, private club for monetary elites to rub shoulders. And it’s located in Switzerland which has always carried a reputation for financial secrecy. Then it has this going for it – John Keynes of “Keynesian economic theory” opposed its dissolution back in the 1940s. His was the kind of thinking that has largely influenced central banks to hijack our economies with mani... more »

no, not Cornwell's book... Stonehenge isn't (necessarily) about absurdist religiose godmatic expressionism... Cornwell's book is about Shaman-ISM i.e. the ritualistic exhaltation of the cripple, the half-breed, the outsider. It could be termed, "An Architectural Prequel," it being the (fictional) story of how a 'place' was built. Notice I didn't say monument or temple or church, because I'm not totally convinced that *Stonehenge* had anything (at all) to do with 'religion' or 'spirit' or 'the collective soul of the stonehenge architects'. Measurement isn't a violation of unitarity
In the mid 1920s, thanks to the conservative yet revolutionary work by giants such as Heisenberg, the foundations of physics have switched from the old framework of classical physics to the postulates of quantum mechanics. The new general rules have been completely understood. Since that time, only the search for the "right Hamiltonians" and "their implications" was open. The new philosophical underpinnings were shown to be consistent, complete, nothing has changed about them since 1925 (or we might put the threshold to 1927 so that the papers clarifying the uncertainty principle e...more »

The civil trial King v. Jowers lasted for 30 days – and after 59 minutes of deliberation the jury found the original official narrative involving Martin Luther King’s death to be factually incorrect, and ruled that government agents were responsible for his death. The singer says he saw security guards at the Bataclan club show signs of having foreknowledge the attacks were going to take place before the audience arrived. Jesse Hughes said he felt uneasy whilst the band were setting up for their November 13 show, when he realised one of the backstage guards refused to make eye contact with the band. “I didn’t like him at all. And so I immediately went to the promoter and said, ‘Who’s that guy? I want to pu... more »

US Judge Admits Existence Of NSA PRISM Program
A U.S. federal judge has confirmed that the NSA’s infamous PRISM program does exist – allowing the agency to collect user data directly from major technology companies such as Yahoo, Google, Apple and Microsoft without the users’ knowledge and without a court order. The stunning admission by the judge means that the PRISM program, originally leaked by Edward Snowden, has given the American government the ability to physically access the servers of numerous internet companies since 2007 in order to snoop on U.S. citizens. Vocativ.com reports: Since the program’s disclosure, most gov... more »

The German physicists from the Friedrich Schiller University say they have used a series of laser beams to transmit information instantaneously without any loss of time. Pravdareport.com reports: The German scientists said that teleportation was possible in Newtonian physics, although its mechanism differs from physics of elementary particles. “Elementary particles such as electrons and light particles exist per se in a spatially delocalized state,” Alexander Szameit... more »

Ron Paul: Coming American Empire Collapse Will Spur Revolution
Former Congressman Ron Paul has said that he believes the U.S. empire is on the verge of collapse, but that the imminent collapse will be the best thing that has happened to the country in recent history. Dr. Paul told attendees at the Ludwig von Mises Institute in Texas that America is showing signs of collapsing, just like every other empire before it did. “I believe… what our contention has to be right now is what is happening to our country from within,” he said. “And actually it’s very encouraging. They’re disintegrating… We don’t have to go to war with them.” Ron Paul told th... more »

*Adam Taylor, Washington Post*: *A huge leaked list of Islamic State fighters sounds too good to be true. Is it?* It almost sounds too good to be true: a huge list of Islamic State fighters, leaked from inside the organization's own internal security division, potentially representing a treasure trove of detailed information on the group to be picked apart by intelligence agencies. On Wednesday, Sky News revealed that it had acquired this list, reportedly registration documents for Islamic State fighters from 2013. There were tens of thousands of names on the list from at least 51... more »

Both the US and Russia claim Syrian sovereignty is non negotiable. Both are lying. *Would everyone feel better if I said- misleading? **Russia jumped into the Syrian fracas to block a split, a complete split, or a balkanization. Women Remember Berta Caceres
*An excerpt from, "No Bern Notice: The Imperial Myopia of Candidate Sanders" By Chris Floyd, March 10, 2016: * Meanwhile, the horror in Honduras goes on. As so often over the years, John Perry of the London Review of Books provides excellent background on the situation there. He notes that the Cáceres murder is part of an American-backed ethos that puts "business" before any and all other concerns -- community, environment, individual human lives. In this case, even the decidedly unsentimental Chinese investors -- and the equally bottom-line World Bank as well -- concluded that th... more »

Expelling Gerry Downing
I don't recall the last time a micro-sect guru appeared on the BBC's lunch time politics programme to have his views in a seldom-read publication picked over, but it has finally happened. Of course, this does not signal Andrew Neil's conversion to lefty trainspotting, but rather the fact that Gerry Downing has some "forthright views" that were *deemed acceptable* to allow his admittance to Labour Party membership, before media pressure - and an attack by Dave in the House at yesterday's PMQs - saw his expulsion. As Trotskyism goes, there is a spectrum that runs from an uncompromisi... more
