One Never Forgets Their First Love
An old friend called this morning to tell me he was running for Congress against a right-wing Republican in a fairly red district. He felt he had a chance to win because Hillary is popular in the area and he expected her to have strong coattails. "Bernie too," I offered, an offering which he was dismissive of. And that led to a discussion about what the value is of lifelong Democrats imbued with the progressive values and principles of the Democratic Party. He's a committed, lifelong Democrat and, although he hangs out with some shady establishment types these days, the values and ... more »
Top US General in Africa describes Libya as "failed state"
"State failure threatens global stability because national governments have become the primary building blocks of order. International security relies on states to protect against chaos at home and limit the cancerous spread of anarchy beyond their borders and throughout the world. States exist to deliver political (i.e., public) goods to their inhabitants. When they function as they ideally should, they mediate between the constraints and challenges of the international arena and the dynamic forces of their own internal economic, political, and social realities. . . Armageddon: America And The World Under A Hillary Clinton Presidency
As Hillary Clinton keeps repeating her years-of-experience mantra, she, to put it lightly, stretches the truth. A quick look at Ms. Clinton’s record suggests that she is not only unqualified for the role of commander-in-chief, but could even be as or more dangerous than George W. Bush on an international scale. Her entirely false claims about Tuzla, Bosnia, of “landing under sniper fire” and “running for cover” are well-known. So too are her lines on Northern Ireland where Nobel Peace Prize winner Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey, Ireland, said she was “a wee bit silly” for exaggerating ... more »
What it's like to phonebank for Bernie Sanders
I spent the afternoon phonebanking for Bernie. I have to tell you, the tools the Bernie Sanders campaign are using are much more sophisticated than what the Obama campaign had. Then, we were still working off of paper lists which volunteers had to type into computers. Bernie's team has built an incredible app you can do from a phone alone or from a phone and computer. This was the most

I'd always thought that fate was something unchangeable: fixed for every one of us at birth, and as constant as the circuit of the stars. But I suddenly realized that life is strange... more »

Welcome to the Empire of Chaos
*March 12, 2016* (Ulson Gunnar - NEO) When globe-trotting journalist and keen geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar refers to the United States as the "Empire of Chaos," it may seem like hyperbole. But upon looking deeper at both Escobar's coverage and the United States' foreign policy itself, it is perhaps the most accurate title for this political entity and its means of operation, perhaps more apt than the name "The United States" itself. In the wake of World War II, the US and its allies set out upon the reclamation of the West's lost colonies, many of which took advantage of Euro... more »

Developing a Superhero Campaign: Finalized Rules Decision
After a number of iterations. I've settled on a game engine for a superhero campaign. In the end I'll be using Steven Kenson's Icons. For those unfamiliar with Icons, it is a bit of a hybrid of Fate and TSR's Marvel Superheroes RPGs. Let's take a look at a sample character in Icons, an adversary taken from the main rulebook. Fate uses Fate (or Fudge) dice, 4dF. The Fate dice are six sided dice, with 2 sides marked with a plus, 2 with a minus, and 2 blank. A 4dF roll gives a range of -4 to 4. Icons uses a similar mechanic - essentially it involves rolling d6-d6 to generate a range... more »

*"The Sharp Tang and Savor of Existence"* "The thought of the disaster which almost certainly lay in wait for the Other Men threw me into a horror of doubt about the universe in which such a thing could happen. That a whole world of intelligent beings could be destroyed was not an unfamiliar idea to me; but there is a great difference between an abstract possibility and a concrete and inescapable danger. On my native planet, whenever I had been dismayed by the suffering and the futility of individuals, I had taken comfort in the thought that at least the massed effect of all our bl... more »

Declassified Docs Reveal Full Horror Of CIA Mind Control Program
Recently declassified CIA documents reveal the horrific depths to which a U.S. government-sponsored mind control program (MK Ultra) sank to in the 1950’s and 60’s. Project MKUltra was designed to create assassins and “super spies” out of ordinary U.S. citizens – who underwent traumatic experimentation by the CIA without consent or knowledge of what was taking place. Cultureofawareness.com reports: I’ve decided to copy the declassified CIA documents directly from WantToKnow.info instead of paraphrasing them so they sink in. Chet Raymo, “Into The Night”
*“Into The Night”* by Chet Raymo “I first became intimate with the night sky on the sleeping porch of my grandmother's house on Ninth Street in Chattanooga, Tennessee, during the early 1940s. A screened sleeping porch might be found attached to any southern home of a certain vintage and substance, usually on the second story at the back. On sultry summer nights you could move a cot or daybed onto the porch and take advantage of whatever breezes stirred the air. I slept there when I visited because it was the only place to find a spare bed. I was usually alone in that big spooky spa...more »

Important Video: ALL America's Wars Begin With False Flags (And World War III Will Too)
Being a true student of history, I do find it remarkable that in the last 239 years of America's history, there has only been at most 30+ years where the American republic was not in an actual shooting war, or involved in a war by proxy or through "false flag" operations, across the planet.... It is hard to explain to most Americans that their nation is absolutely not a "peaceful" nation as they have always been taught in the brainwashing of the failed American education system, but has been involved in so many wars, and has actually started or been the direct cause of so many of the... more »

Free Education Is A Good Investment For Any Society That Wants To Stay Vibrant
I was a little disappointed yesterday. One of the guys from the Progressive Caucus called and we went over the new progressive budget proposal. They have a good idea built into their budget... but it only goes halfway to where we need it to go. If Republicans and conservative Democrats don't team up to kill the proposal-- which they do every two years like clockwork-- it would reduce the cost of current loans while creating a system for debt-free higher education for college students. The piece that was missing-- the Bernie piece-- is free public universities and community colleg... more »

Back To Sandy Hook: The Sandy Hook Fraud Shooting - Paul Craig Roberts Article: Sandy Hook Puzzles
Many across the United States still believe that on December 14th, 2012, the biggest "mass shooting" of children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut was a real event.... It is so startling that with all the evidence that shows proof positive that this was a staged event, and that absolutely NO children died in that operation, that now over 3 years later few are willing to cope with the reality that they have been played as suckers by their own government.... Trump Scared Of Hateful Muslims, Promotes Scarier Biblical Values
