The Assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse
Unknown assailants overnight assassinating Haitian President Jovenel Moïse was a horrific act that should be condemned in no uncertain terms. Unfortunately, such violence is unsurprising. As the Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) noted in its July 6 press release, Moïse’s actions since usurping power have brought Haiti to a boiling point, with heavily armed gangs being unleashed, both supported by and enabled by the Haitian elite and those international “friends” of Haiti, including the United States, the United Nations, the Core Group and the Organization of American States. read more

A dog went missing after a car crash. He was found on an Idaho farm herding sheep.
A dog lost in an Idaho car crash on Sunday has been found alive and well after seemingly restarting his life as a sheepdog on a farm near the collision site. Linda Oswald and her family lost Tilly, a two-year-old border collie-heeler mix, when their truck collided with a vehicle on a state highway near Rathdrum on Sunday around noon, the Spokesman-Review newspaper reports. Tilly was ejected through the truck’s rear window during the collision, and he was last seen sprinting away across the prairie. No one was injured in the crash but the Oswalds were distraught about Tilly, and the... read more

Could Iran Beat Britain in a War?
*Michael Peck* *Iran, * It would certainly make any war difficult. *Here's What You Need to Remember:* Statistics can be misleading. Britain and Iran are not in the same league at all. Why the West Should Think Twice Before Testing Russia Over Crimea
*Dominick Sansone* *Russia NATO, * The U.S. and its NATO allies do not have to accept the Russian annexation of Crimea – but they do need to acknowledge that Moscow has more to lose. There are differing accounts of what transpired when the British destroyer HMS Defender passed off the coast of Crimea on June 23. Disputing reports and reactions in the wake of the event are telling as to how each party understands its strategic interest in the region. In the case of Russia, the event provided fuel for Moscow’s domestic narrative that Kiev is simply a Western pawn in the service of ... read more
Rhetoric Divorced from Reality: Deciphering Biden’s Foreign Policy Philosophy
*Amanda J. Rothschild* *Foreign Policy, * The conspicuous gap between President Biden’s rhetoric and actions when it comes to foreign policy may risk undermining both his messaging and strategy. President Biden completed his first foreign trip last month, traveling to Europe for G7 meetings, discussions with NATO leaders, and a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. An inaugural foreign trip like this can provide several clues on the trajectory of a President’s foreign policy. The Marine Corps’ Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle Was Incredible. Why Did it Fail?
*Caleb Larson* *US Marine Corps, Americas* Hopes were high for the USMC’s first amphibious assault vehicle since the 1970s. It was expected to do too much, too well. The Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle’s origin story begins in the 1980s when the Marine Corps sought a replacement for their aged Assault Amphibious Vehicle. The Housing Crisis - Build Homes for Our Families!
We can and must solve the crisis in housing for all our young families and future families. We must start with people, the American people. Just as Lyndon LaRouche did in his precedent-setting *Homeowners & Bank Protection Act of 2007 (HBPA)*. Germinal Centers Show COVID-19 Vaccines Have Lasting Protection
The first two COVID-19 vaccines authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) utilized mRNA technology previously unused in FDA-approved vaccines. One of its chief proponents bounced from research job to research job for low pay because government-controlled science funding prefers guaranteed success for each round of funding rather than the hit-but-we'll-mostly-miss basic research approach of the private sector. mRNA-based vaccines provide instructions for the body to build and release foreign proteins, such as the spike protein in the case of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but pr... read more
