How Much Better Off Would The Country Be If The Two Establishment Parties Just Disappeared?
Apparently George Washington was both prescient and correct when he warned, in his "farewell address" (1796), that political parties serve "always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection." The Founders made a big mistake, though-- still not corrected all these years later-- in not including the choice "none of the above"-- in all elections. The country's politics would likely be a lot... more »
"Poisoned" Kremlin Critic Flown to Germany as German-Russian Nord Stream 2 Nears Completion
The perfectly timed poisoning of unpopular, ineffective Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny and the involvement of Germany comes as Washington sought to place maximum pressure on Berlin to cancel the German-Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline. *August 25, 2020 *(Tony Cartalucci - LD) - Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny - according to German doctors - was allegedly poisoned but is expected to survive. If Navalny was poisoned and the goal was to assassinate him, it was a poorly conceived, poorly executed, and most of all - poorly timed plan. Navalny's sudden reappearance a... more »
Academic Surgery Has Fewer Women, But They Get More NIH Grants
There are disparities in many fields of academia; physics has fewer women, for example, while psychology has fewer men. Some contend that is due to discomfort in not having equal representation. But fewer members of the same sex is assuaged if there is more money, and that is the case for female academic surgeons. They are outnumbered by men but get more NIH funding than men do. They get nearly 50 percent more R01 grants. read more

A low-ranking parish priest who agreed to give evidence against an archbishop accused of concealing child sexual abuse was mysteriously summoned to the Vatican before he was due to testify and allegedly quizzed by the Pope about what he was planning to say in court. * . . .* The explosive claim about the papal meeting, contained in The Altar Boys, indicates th... more »

America's Middle Class Is Dying. Here's Why That's a Good Thing.
*Scott Lincicome* *Politics, Americas* It turns out, people just keep getting richer.
