Midnight Meme Of The Day!
*by Noah* Blood in your lungs and blood on their hands. The death toll grows exponentially by the day. At least if Kushner & Trump was your law firm, you'd be in jail instead of in an I.C.U. Although, with the way pandemics work, being in jail wouldn't be a good prospect either. Either way, America's #1 family of sadists is happy. When this is all over, the Trump's should have a sicko TV show like the Duck Dynasty assholes. Each episode would deal with new ways that the fabulous Trumps find to enthusiastically spread human misery and death. Each show would end with Donnie Head Cas... more »

Why the world is running out of sand?
It is not of course. The problem has been the building boom sucking up sand far faster than planning made provison for. Rivers and beaches do a wonderful job sorting all this stuff out. The difficulty is that the regulatory package takes time when you are close to a city which is important for the economics. Of course, in a real emergency, we will convert a suburb into a gravel pit and use screening systems. Other wise, if you wish to create a million square miles of new beaches, double the price and we will deliver the entire Sahara desert to your loading gate. *Why the wo... more »

Why China Underestimates India's Growing Navy
*Michael Peck* *Security, Asia* Accidents happen at sea. *Here's What You Need To Remember: *It’s not as if America and Russia haven’t had plenty of naval disasters (the *USS Fitzgerald* and the submarine *Kursk*, anyone?), or spent billions on failed weapons. Accidents happen when warships go to sea. Sometimes for the dumbest of reasons, but they happen. India’s only aircraft carrier suffered a fire that left one sailor dead. And China, which is India’s rival, says this is because Indians aren’t competent enough to operate advanced military equipment. The fire broke out in the... more »
North Korea Will Always Remember How Deadly America's Battleships Proved In War
*Robert Farley* *Security, Asia* The Iowas packed a real punch. *What You Need To Remember:: *The legacy of the Iowas’ performance off Korea lived on in North Korean and Chinese naval doctrine and procurement. Both Pyongyang and Beijing became aware of their dreadful vulnerability to naval attack, and developed coastal defense capabilities intended to dissuade any foe from approaching their waters. In the final months of the Second World War, the battleships of the U.S. Navy (USN) ranged across the archipelago of Japan, bombarding industrial, military and logistical targets at w... more »
Here Are 5 Ways You Can Motivate Your Children During the Coronavirus Pandemic
*Wendy Grolnick* *Public Health, World* [image: Reuters] The key is to be patient. After a disaster like a hurricane or fire, establishing structure is important to keep consistency and maintain a sense of control for both parents and children. This includes creating a schedule and communicating clear expectations and guidelines on things such as s... more »
This Is How A F-35 Stealth Fighter Assault On North Korea Would Go Down
*Charlie Gao* *Security, Asia* South Korea would be an important asset. *Here's What You Need To Remember: *The ROKAF might opt to fly the F-35A in formations with fourth-generation aircraft to provide better situational awareness and communications capability, enhancing the ability of the entire formation to fly and fight. Usage in such a role would mitigate one of the biggest criticisms of the F-35, the limited onboard weapon capacity. The ROKAF, South Korea’s Air Force received their first F-35A fighter jets in April 2019. The ROKAF hopes to eventually buy forty F-35As and sho... more »

Maldacena: coronas of some magnetic black holes restore the electroweak symmetry
Juan Maldacena may have won a $10 million bet by placing the following picture in his new paper. The paper is titled Comments on magnetic black holes and Maldacena is very playful: the picture above is simplified and reprinted as Figure 4b. Take A Look At America's 'Unbeatable' F-52 Stealth Fighter
*TNI Staff* *History, Americas* There's nothing like it (for a reason). *Here's What You Need To Remember: *There might one day be an F-52, but technology has advanced a long way since the days of the YF-22 and YF-23. Thus, tomorrow’s aircraft will look very different from today’s planes. President Donald Trump back in 2018 told reporters that the United States had delivered the F-52 to Norway. The statement was obviously a mistake; there is no such thing as an F-52 yet. The aircraft only exists in the context of a video game called “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare”—however, the... more »

Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter—which is built in three versions—recently completed its developmental test phase and is operational with the U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps.
