BREAKING: Hayes pretends to interview Chozick!
*TUESDAY, APRIL 24, 2018But first, what Lozada did:* Last night—actually, early this morning—we watched Chris Hayes as he pretended to interview Amy Chozick. To watch the segment, click here. The New York Times made Chozick its "Hillary Clinton reporter" in July 2013 [sic]. It was more than three years until the presidential election in question. But in its stupid, inexcusable way, the Times was going to hound this pre-candidate every step of the way. In our view, Chozick did a terrible job as the Times' Clinton reporter. Now she's written a book about the experience, hoping to p... more »

April has been different from previous months during the year. Each week the number of security incidents has gone up and down. The two main trends during the third week of April was the ongoing fighting between the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and Turkey in northern Kurdistan and more attacks upon candidates and political parties before next month’s parliamentary elections. The first and third weeks of April saw extremely low numbers of security incidents. There were just 40 incidents from April 1-7, one of the lowest figures since 2003, and then from April 15-21 there were 44. ... more »

For the first time in decades the number of carriers dropped below twenty, making it increasingly unlikely that enough flight decks would be available during a conventional war to service all requirements. Spreading naval aviation out among more platforms made it more resistant to individual wartime carrier losses. GAPS AND STANDARDS: Do grade level "standards" even make sense?
*TUESDAY, APRIL 24, 2018Part 2—Two kids in sixth grade:* As we start, let's imagine two great kids on the first day of sixth grade. They may live thousands of miles from each other, on the east and west coasts. They may live in different communities in some individual state. They may attend different schools within the same school district. Who knows! They may be sitting next to each other, in the same classroom, on this first day of sixth grade. We'll call them Student A and Student B. We'll also tell you this: According to reliable testing, Student A is working two years above "... more »

It's Time for Arizona's School Board to Implement a Court's 2017 Raza Studies Ruling in Good Faith TRUTHOUT Despite a favorable 2017 court decision, the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) school board continues to refuse to abide by a historic ruling against the state of Arizona in regards to the 2010 legislation HB 2281. It's Still The British, Stupid!
With the British May government's outburst of dubious chemical weapons charges and demands for war and confrontation with Russia, the leaders of the nations most important to future human progress, are having to make a choice. The British demand a new Cold War, or worse, with not only Russia, but China. The nations we have long identified as the key to mankind's greater future if they cooperate — the United States, China, Russia, and India — have been given the new paradigm for that cooperation in China's Belt and Road Initiative, a potentially global program of great projects of ... more »

I go to Lifetime Fitness 6 times a week and walk 40-50 minutes on the treadmill--walking not running. The only thing that doesn't match up is holding on the hand grips. I do walk swinging my arms and was hoping that is good for balance (and the article confirms that), but only for maybe 10 minutes. So I'll increase that--the article says that holding on can throw off your posture, or even cause some new aches and pains. Then 3 days a week I do resistance, all on pulley mac... more »

Moses Mendelssohn; Immanuel Kant The various arts are as old as civilization, but the manner in which we group them and evaluate their importance in our life and culture is a relatively recent development. This is an extraordinary breakthrough as it operates independent of the dew point. Thus the constraint will be air flow and that can be handled. Early days of course but the possibility is clear that we can develop a device able to produce 100 liters per day and then drive the cost down. Been solar driven we can go into the desert were the need is greatest.
