Where has JonDon gone?
Regular readers of this blog will, perhaps, be interested in the latest
Jon Donnison news. I just heard him now on PM reporting on the Uber
story. Yes, the great man has abandoned his beloved Gazan shore and his

Bernalillo (Albuquerque) Sighting of June 17, 2015
Rob Swiatek, a member of the Board of Directors of MUFON, told me about
a sighting that is interesting but not necessarily something of an
extraterrestrial nature. As he reported, it seems that the objects, or

I know I said I wouldn’t post for a bit, but because I’ve just given my

necessary (not space related) business. Most Centauri Dreams readers,

Eduardo Bendek’s ACEsat, conceived at NASA Ames by Bendek and Ruslan

The Milky Way as an Outlier
How ‘normal’ is the Milky Way? It’s an interesting question because as
we look out into a visible universe filled with perhaps 100 billion

of our own. That this may not be the best way to proceed is brought home
by a much smaller study, the comparison between our Solar System and
what we’ve been finding around other stars. Fi

Carles Puigdemont Turns the Tables on Rajoy
Before his speech on Independence to the Catalan parliament, Carles
Puigdemont seemed to be in an impossible position. Declare Independence
and he would be immediately arrested and direct rule imposed from
Madrid. Rajoy appeared to have all the angles covered; the EU had
already specifically greenlighted the use of armed force in Commissioner
Timmermans’ disgraceful address to the EU Parliament.
Suspending the Catalan Parliament, Spain Destroys the EU’s “Rule of Law” Figleaf.
It takes a very special kind of chutzpah systematically to assault
voters, and drag them from polling booths by their hair, and then say
that a low turnout invalidates the vote. That is the shameless position
being taken by the Europe wide political Establishment and its corporate
media lackeys. This Guardian article illustrates a refinement to this
already extreme act of intellectual dishonesty.
That Mythical Pro-Spanish Majority in Catalonia
The media constantly pumps out the lie that there is a silent
anti-independence majority in Catalonia, which is merely curiously
invisible. Consider this. The highest turnout ever at an election in
Catalonia was the 74.9% in the 2015 Regional Election, with 4,130.196
people casting their vote. At Spanish general elections turnout is even
lower, at 69%. A minimum of 25.1% of the population never v

woke up. I had been dreaming. I forced myself to wake up. It was
already a very strange dream about implants. Straight needle inserted
liberally into the right carotid, but then it 'clunked' as it found a

Electric Universe - artificial coal formation - ages of dinosaurs shrink
as you'all know, I've become a bit of a(n EU or) Electric Universe nut.
Now, EU (along with YPS - Yeahright Planetary Stencilling) suggests
that the Earth, and the Sun, and Galaxies are formed by pairs of
electrical Birkeland Currents roaming through space dumping out
high-red-shift plasmas that condense to low-red-shifted matter over
time. While modern geological science prefers long-slow plate

PPP vs ODA tax-tax-tax
Related to my BWorld article yesterday, Build-build-build is possible
without new taxes , are the following articles and reports, all from
BWorld. 1. Last week, an article by a friend Romy Bernardo. I disagree
with his position of course. Hi Romy :-)

from another friend, Karla Michelle Yu of AER. I disagree also with

Hong Kong and John Cowperthwaite, Part 2
I have heard about Sir John Cowperthwaite for the first time about 2004
or 2005, from my friends at the Lion Rock Institute in Hong Kong and I
was impressed of him. Prior to that, I thought that it was deliberate on
the part of the British government to institute a free market colonial

Britain-appointed Administrator of HK simply has a
BWorld 157, Build-build-build is possible without new taxes
* This is my article in BusinessWorld today. Among the biggest alibis
given by Dutertenomics as to why we need new or higher taxes is the fact

hybrid PPP (public private partnerships) plans. Then warnings were
issued by both government and its nongovernment allies that “no new
taxes, no build-build-build.” For me, this is blackm
Tax Cut 30, Trump's 20% CIT, deregulation
When the White House proposed a drastic corporate income tax cut (from
39% to 20%), 25% for single proprietorship, they did not suggest a tax
hike somewhere to "compensate for lost revenues" like the Dutertenomics'
tax-tax-tax. Copy-pasting portions of these press releases and short
blog posts from the WH. "* The U.S. corporate tax rate has been higher
than the OECD average for almost 20 years. T
Mining 56, Presentation at Mining PH Conference 2017
Last month during the Mining Philippines Conference 2017, I was one of 6
panel discussants in one focus group discussion. First I discussed the
recent rants vs. open pit mining by ex-DENR Sec. Gina Lopez and why many
of her points are wrong or non-sensical at the least. Then I discussed
other issues about soil degradation, the coming global cooling and the
need for more water catchments like mine
