I do think that sleep has been over indulged and that we naturally need around six hours of proper sleep to be fully effective. Doing better than this is may also be trainable as the brain mayt well be able to adjust. The studies do show us ample variation. I have typically relied on six hours of sleep. during basics traing we all got exactly slightly short of six hours, so that indicates the six hour rule is hardly unreasonable.
