Do We Need $2.5 BILLION for Coronavirus Vaccine? What Happened to the $2 BILLION Spent on the Zika Vaccine?
The White House is asking Congress for AT LEAST $2.5 billion in emergency funds, in part, to develop a vaccine for the Coronavirus outbreak. Before we give any governmental agency AT LEAST $2.5 billion dollars we should know how it is going to be spent. Recall the Zika scare from 2016. At that time we were being told by the US governmental agencies (FDA, CDC, and HHS) that somehow a relatively benign virus that has been around for nearly 100 years was suddenly causing birth defects in the form of small-headed babies. Congress ended up giving the CDC over $1 billion dollars to develo... more »

Keir Starmer's Unity Mongering
He's bringing sexy back. Well, maybe not but Keir Starmer wants to see the return of Alastair Campbell to the Labour Party. This brings back memories from early in the campaign in which Keir said he would not rest until everyone who left the party over anti-semitism were back in the fold. We know that's coded repartee for the right wing departee, such as Change UK and other miserable toerags, as per the Tory-supporting John Mann and Ian Austin. Why Religious Conservatives Will Likely Vote for Trump in 2020
National Review, as conservatives know, has drifted far from many editorial positions it held when Bill Buckley was in charge. But from time to time, NR gets it spot-on. The following article by Andrew Walker is, in the humble opinion of this religious conservative blogger, on the money. Conservatives who faith is grounded both in their hearts and their minds will vote not so much “for” Trump, a man who has led his life in many ways that are deeply flawed from the perspective of people of strong belief. Religious conservatives will vote “against” the Democrat Socialist worldview and... more »
Stealth vs Stealth: Can Russia's SU-57 Stop China's J-20?

However, it might not matter if China and Russia expand their cooperation. As the Su-57 enters serial production in *much larger quantities* than previously expected, Moscow is making a concerted effort to pitch the fifth-generation fighter to major arms importers including Turkey, India, and China. Why should the world be overwise, In counting all our tears and sighs? Nay, let them only see us, while We wear the mask. We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries To thee from tortured souls arise. We sing, but oh the clay is vile Beneath our feet, and long the mile; But let the world dream otherwise, We wear the mask!” - Paul Laurence Dunbar
Why The World Health Organization Are Not Calling COVID19 A Pandemic
This is puzzling many people. COVID19 is now in every continent. So why don't they call COVID19 a pandemic? You are right, if a flu outbreak got this far, the WHO would say it is a pandemic, for sure, indeed they would have called it a global pandemic weeks ago. *Definition: * a pandemic (as the WHO use the word) is a disease that is spreading by community transmission throughout the world with no possibility of stopping it by quarantine. A viral pandemic can only be stopped with vaccines. Meanwhile you do your best to protect the most vulnerable from it. read more
