This particular meme is now been revived. i have alluded to it several times due to my exposure back in the early 80's. we now have a commercial supplier. I would go a step further and soak a charge of bio-char in the solution to fully mineralize the bio-char. that way the adsorbed minerals can not be washed away. Raspberry Cordial
We grew raspberries. Everyday we would well freshly picked fruit directly to our markets. surplus that could not be sold was first converted to jam and once we had a years supply we then used the balance to produce a mild raspberry vinegar. wine was to hard to do. We did it by adding some sugar, likely a couple cups for a gallon or so of berries. Once boiled, we strained out the juice. This natural sweetened raspberry juice was then allowed to ferment in the cool cellar forever. This produces a good vinegar. We drank this all winter by sharply diluting it in water. There ... more »
Oh, No, Not Knotweed!
I would not get that excited. It happens to make great goat fodder. With goats, an infestation can be hammered down as can other invasives. We are certainly going there anyway. Goats are now been used and the herds will expand as landowners want the land cleared to use. Certainly urban areas are paying well for the service and we are seeing road work as well. Insects may allow a permanent solution. but i would not count on that.. *We are only beginning to understand knotweed’s ecological impacts. Animation by Lisa Larson-Walker. [image: The brine pool's "shore" and surface ripples beneath the Gulf of Mexico.] We have good reason to suspect that the meme of organized societies came by way of the sea borne Atlantean civilization. These trade factories readily inspired indigenous societies to organize as well. Of course, if an organized society already existed then an advanced Atlantean society would easily fit in. This place is were it should be and we are seeing sister sites all over now. I suspect that the shut down of Atlantean mining in Lake superior led to a population movement south and this may ... more »
