No God But Mammon
Never one to gush platitudes like "normal" presidents do when touting
American Exceptionalism on solemn occasions, Donald Trump certainly did not
disappoint in his Memorial Day tweet.
Instead of thanking God, Mom, and Apple Pie on this great national day of
fake mourning for people who allegedly "gave their lives" rather than
having their lives snatched out from under them by the Lords of Capitalism,
Trump did what Trump does best. He instigated yet another bout of fake
outrage by making Memorial Day 2018 all about memorializing... gasp,

Memorial Day is Based on a Lie

Today, Memorial Day, Americans across the land will hear the same message:
that US soldiers who have died in America’s foreign wars and foreign
interventions have done so in the defense of our rights and freedoms. It is
a message that will be heard in sporting events, memorial services,
airports, churches, and everywhere else that Memorial Day is being
commemorated.
There is one big thing wrong, however. It’s a lie. None of those soldiers
died protecting our rights and freedoms. That’s because our rights and

I looked her and said, "Rest in pieces." She walked off and stood next to
an ascetic man with a beard, likely her life partner (maybe a university

The warrior's tale tells each generation that they stand on the wall

Taiwan Would Blast China with These Deadly (And Massive) Cannons in a War
*Robert Beckhusen*
*Security, *
The message — intimidation. Deterrence. Don’t invade.
*Beijing’s military is also now considerably stronger and can fight from
even longer distances than conventional artillery, rendering a 1940s-era
super howitzer more or less pointless. But still, it’s impressive.*
The 240-millimeter M1 howitzer, or “Black Dragon,” was the heaviest piece
of field artillery the U.S. Army deployed in World War II. The huge guns
smashed the Axis Powers’ concrete fortifications in Europe to rubble, and
blasted Chinese mountain bunkers during the Korean War.

*Asia Times*
*Security, *
We have the latest.
China’s only serving aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, has moved closer to
full combat readiness after its naval pilots apparently completed
their first nighttime take-offs and landings, joining a small group of
fliers whose countries have this capability.
State broadcaster China Central Television has aired footage that seems to
show J-15 fighters taking off and landing on the carrier, which China
purchased from the Ukraine and commissioned in 2012.
Beijing-based military analyst Li Jie told the People’s Daily that “just

"War for the USA these days is a weird, inconclusive enterprise. Our
objectives are poorly discerned, hardly even articulated anymore, just a
pattern of going through the motions as destructively as possible with no
end in sight. How many Americans can state what our mission in Afghanistan
is after seventeen years of blundering around its bare mountains and

The US (President Trump) withdrew from the gentleman's agreement that his
predecessor made with the Mullahs in Iran. Progressives said that Iran was
keeping its end of the deal and inspections proved it. Since the Iranians

convincing evidence that Iran was not in compliance. The nature of

The liberal mainstream media appear determined to either ignore the recent

the reality is that this is (as President Trump tweeted) the “all time
biggest political scandal.” And, yes, that includes Watergate.
