Corbett Report: ISIS Furious About Conspiracy Theories and Truthers!
*Both the President and the Caliph hate the global 9/11 truth and justice movement. They have also both warned their brainwashed subjects to stay away from "9/11 conspiracy theories."* The U.S. and Israeli governments are on the same side as ISIS in the global propaganda war against free thought, critical thinking, scientific facts, and real history. *Video Title: ISIS Furious About Conspiracy Theories and Truthers! Clear anti-Israel bias at the BBC
I mentioned the other day my concerns about a series of BBC World Service reports, which began this Tuesday: And as for the BBC World Service's *Business Matters* and the opening episode of its "week of coverage from Israel and the Palestinian territories", entitled *Live from Gaza: Business Behind the Blockade*,... ...well, just allow me to quote you a bit from presenter Roger Hearing's introduction, which seems to me to achieve the status of being truly 'beyond parody': *"In this programme we're going to try and park the politics and look at how an economy under these circumstan... more »
The Poet: John Gillespie Magee, Jr., "High Flight"
*"High Flight"* "Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there, I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air... Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace. Where never lark, or even eagle flew — And, while with silent lifting mind I have tr... more »

Memorial Day, 2015: “For the Fallen”
*“For the Fallen”* by Laurence Binyon "Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres. There is music in the midst of desolation And a glory that shines upon our tears. They went with songs to the battle, they were young, Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted; They fell with their faces to the foe. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. May 24: catching up.
https://www.jacobinmag.com/2014/03/the-death-of-american-universities/ A reader sent me the article above. It really caught my eye because, some twenty yeas ago I was asked by the chairman of a board of university governors to become president of the university. I was reluctant because I had no wish to be an administrator. So he sat me down with three of his lawyers to explain the terms to me. I was astonished. The pay was scandalously high. Even better, if I turned out to be a stinker as a president and had to fired, I would still get that salary until retirement. And then I would... more »
The Empire of Chaos, as Pepe Escobar terms the US Government, is fast becoming circumvented by parnterships between the major countries of the southern hemisphere, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, South Africa and others financed correctly by China and Russia, i.e., both the lenders and the borrowers will profit (as distinguished from the International Monitory Fund, which first pays off the banksters and then extracts the money supposedly owed them from the people's salaries, health care, pensions, etc., making it impossible for the people to ever get out of debt). The biggest deal will be "the proposed $30 billion, 3,500 kilometer-long, Atlantic-Pacific mega-railway, that is slated to run from the Brazilian port of Santos to the Peruvian Pacific port of Ilo." This mega-money making project contrasts with the U.S. Congress refusing to upgrade the decaying US railroads even in the face of the recent disaster.

“Investigative” or “Investigatory” Receiverships
Akagi v. Synergy Group (2000) Inc., 2015 ONCA 368 [65] The idea of appointing a receiver or monitor with investigative powers – and sometimes, with only those powers – has emerged in recent years. This Court has not previously been asked to consider whether, or in what circumstances, a s. 101 receiver may be empowered in this fashion. For the purposes of this appeal, it is not necessary that the contours of such an appointment be traced in a detailed manner. Suffice it to say that the idea of appointing a receiver to investigate into the affairs of a debtor is not itself unsound... more »
Mess - the situation we call the Middle East
Beaver is taking a day off this week so that we may bring you the following: The mess we call the middle east. We see that Iran is now assisting in taking on ISIS in Iraq. That somewhat complicates matters as we have been no friend of Iran for the last 35 plus years. But digging deeper into all this we find that it's more a matter of Iran against Saudi Arabia. Iran is Shia while the Saudis are Sunnis. So it's a safe bet the Iranians were delighted when Bush invaded Iraq and threw out the Sunni government. But wait didn't we label Iran a terrorist country? We did right after they... more »

This year, people could watch it on an obscure Art Public TV channel, and 1% of the Czech population (100,000) did it. The contest is often semi-jokingly dubbed the most successful result of the European integration and unification. And various Czech journalists compare it to the summits of the European Union. By Denis G. Rancourt [a] The human animal has an instinct to identify potential dangers and to warn others. It is a built-in survival mechanism of any animal that lives in a group. And it is a strong and constant activity, re-enforced by environmental stressors. This plays out on several time scales, from the immediate in the case of a potential physical assault, to the weekly in checking

*(Click on Image to Enlarge)* *Business Insider*: *These maps show what ISIS has achieved in the last year* *This week's advances by the Islamic State (aka ISIS, ISIL, and Daesh) in Iraq and Syria are some of the most successful campaigns for the extremist group since it rampaged into Iraq last summer.* *A year ago, violent ISIS militants were attempting to expand their caliphate in Iraq and Syria and preparing to overtake Iraq's second-largest city of Mosul.* *Within the last week, ISIS gained significant territory in Anbar, Iraq's largest province, including the provincial ca... more »
Media madness
What a terrible shame that as soon as one is associated with “the unconscionable” one becomes unconscionable too. From then on everything one may say is tainted, nullified, disbelieved, ridiculed, branded devillish and rendered void. Thus describes the hopelessness of defending Israel at the present time. H/T Elder of Ziyon Col. Richard Kemp has been the subject of sustained assaults and had his words wilfully distorted and falsified by particularly virulent anti-Israel networks, has been the subject of demonstrations in universities that have sought to silence him. He has been pub... more »

An eyewitness report.* *AKCAKALE, Turkey — Within sight of an unoccupied watchtower, and a couple of hundred meters from the border gate at Akcakale on the Syrian-Turkish border, two small girls are skipping on stacks of piping ready for shipment to the town of Tel Abyad, now controlled by the Islamic State, or ISIS, across what the Turks claim is a locked-down frontier.* *It is the weekend and so in... more »

Ramadi and America’s Fracturing of Iraq
While Washington waxes poetic about the need to more forcefully confront ISIS and destroy its military and terrorist infrastructure, the actual policies it has pursued are designed to achieve just the opposite. *May 23, 2015* (Eric Draitser - NEO) - The Western media has been consumed in recent days with the news that Islamic State militants have captured the strategically critical city of Ramadi in Iraq. The narrative is one of incompetence on the part of Iraqi military forces who, the corporate media tells us, are simply either ineffectual or hopelessly corrupt. Some analysts and ... more »

If you've thought stevia, the natural alternative to sugar and artificial sweetners with aspartame, et al., is too good to be true, there may be a catch. Check out this textbook written in 1970 by Paul and Anne Ehrlich, the precursor to the textbook Ecoscience they wrote with Obama Science Czar John P. Holdren seven years later. *A tribute to British education* *The kids know nothing these days* It's a disappointing collection of results, to say the least. A new survey, published today, has shone a great beaming light on British stupidity when it comes to geography, historical and cultural monuments and national landmarks. The findings, put together by Mercure Hotels, establish that a third of Brits (35 per cent) couldn't pick London's Marble Arch out of a line-up, instead mistaking it for Paris' Arc de Triomph. It gets worse. A quarter (23 per cent) think the Lake District's Derwent Water is in New ... more »

*That good ol' Antarctic peninsula again* *These guys below are remarkably incurious. They see the sudden change in parts of the Antarctic peninsula but are sure they have a magic decoder ring that tells then what causes the change -- global warming, of course. But how come the change is so sudden and so recent? And how come it has happened during a period when there has been NO global warming? Their explanations linking it to global warming are obviously just desperate stabs in the darkAnd the real cause is known anyhow. There have been several recent reports of subsurf... more »

Have The RCMP Become Politicized?
http://www.canada.com/ On Tuesday, the RCMP announced that it had arrested ten young Montrealers who were off to join the jihadist hordes in the Middle East. And, almost immediately, Stephen Harper flew to Quebec to remind *nous autres* that his government was tough on jihadists. Interestingly enough, almost as soon as the Mounties arrested the youngsters, they let the kids go. Which raises the question, is there a political alliance between the RCMP and the Conservative government? Tom Walkom asks his readers to consider some re... more »

CDC Forced to Release Vaccine/Autism Documents showing they knew vaccine preservative causes autism
[image: The Free Thought Project] *PhD Scientist and Biochemist Reveals Hidden CDC Documents Showing Thimerosal In Vaccines Increase Neurologic Disorders.* By Matt Agorist on February 25, 2014 The CDC has been shunning the correlations between thimerosal and neurological disorders for a very long time. Although the FDA gave a two year deadline to remove the mercury based preservative from vaccines after the neurotoxin was banned in 1999, it still remains to this day in 60 percent of flu vaccines. A vaccine industry watchdog has now obtained CDC documents that show statistically si... more »

After Tenure
While the lead up to tenure is often terrifyingly stressful, even attaining that goal is a bit daunting as it raises the question, “Now what?” I suppose on some level one can then set one’s sights on the next thing, Full Professor, but that obviously doesn’t have the same significance in terms of career and […]
Greece: parallel currency, default, solutions
Greece remains one of the main topics that markets are thinking about. Its finance minister Varoufakis promised a default on June 5th (€303 million from a 2010 IMF loan) if additional billions of euros aren't poured over the Greek black hole before that day; to feed his corrupt parasitic voters with other people's money will always be more important for him than to fulfill basic international obligations of his country. He may be bluffing, he may be serious, we can't be sure. It sounds insane that Greece would be the first country in the world's history that would default to the IMF... more »
BWorld 3, UHC via Health Voucher System
* This is my article yesterday in BWorld. *THERE ARE MANY claims and complaints that (a) the health condition of Filipinos is “deteriorating” because of rising inequality, and (b) because government health spending is not big enough. Thus, the goal of universal health care (UHC) for Filipinos will remain an illusion. * Are these statements true and correct? Two charts below will provide some answers to these questions above. Deborah Drever Does A Disservice
I honestly did have another post in mind for the evening here and I will get to that shortly but what I had in mind was a bit more time sensitive and speaks to an issue I feel strongly about. While I initially fumed silently about the childish nonsense surrounding a recently elected Albertan politician I can't stay silent any longer. I am of course referring to recently elected NDP MLA Deborah Drever and the number of questionable, ridiculous and downright inappropriate social media posts that have come to light since election day. From fingering our flag to marijuana t-shirts to ... more »
