Madrid and other Matters
This week sees the NATO summit being held as Russia continues its Special Military Operation in the Ukraine, words and war happening in the same week. This article, alongside other issues, will compare the announcements that are apparently going be made in Madrid with both current events and those that could occur in the future. No official statement will be made until the end of the summit, yet very reliable sources indeed have been saying the same things over recent days, leading the author to presume their veracity. read more

Revenge of the Earthworms
ENVIRON this just tells us how successful the earthworm is. And yes, it quickly knocks down all that leaf waste then it is over. What is left is carbon rich soils. This is not bad news and different species are not too important. Recall the americas were largely a worm free world on contact. The other bugs handled it all.Now they are fully integrated and twenty years of cattle rotation with worms will bring the soils back to their original carbon content and general health. \ ]That is very good and will ultimately recover all our soils while kaing the forest far more amena... read more
How to Get More Cancer Protection From Your Broccoli
\ Broccoli is one vegetable that is easily eaten raw if yo ucut it fine enough. In fact, the best solution is to cut the florets free to mix with other raw veggies. The stalk can then be sliced, boiled or even sauteed. A little attention goes a long way and applies to everything. Sauteeing fresh fine sliced cabbage along with onion at least and perhaps bacon makes a nice dish. again a little attention and scant boiling goes far in terms of health. Stir fried broccoli is often seen and the key vis to make it quick. *A potent mix of broccoli sprouts and broccoli can boos... read more
Could we ever really get a 4-day work week in the U.S.?
This is really the wrong question. We need a minimum work load associated with so called minimum wage and likely hte rest can be allowed to sort itself out. How about four 12 hour days on and then four off? Have everyone go with that and the added day simply drifts along. It is fair or unfair equally and everyone does 48 hours in 8 days. My minimum day for min wage can be a four hour shift for light work in particular. This captures all. The criti8cal issue is a proper min wage autyo job that is always there. *Could we ever really get a 4-day work week in the U.S.?* *Last U... read more
