Early Humans Hunted The Largest Available Animals To Extinction For 1.5 Million Years
This is a remarkable result and far more precise than any past work. It informs us that even early man had effective tool kit for taking down large game. They were taking huge numbers of elephants until they lost enough animals. Understand that no species had a proper answer to human predation. It becomes readsonable htat the pleistocene large animal collapse was driven by human hunters. All these large creatures were easily killed with pit traps close by water holes to funnel hte traffic. What is necessary is a large number of hands to task. That was the human advantage ... read more

Not only technical education is a nuisance for German green ideology
By Milan Smutný Starting from the position of a "hungry" opposition, politicians from Germany's ruling Green coalition party have not only occupied key ministries, but also other influential positions in the civil service. A fundamental lack of education and the relevant competences do not prevent them from doing so. As I wrote in my previous blog (CZ), the Green Party has gained a very strong position in the new German government coalition, even in view of the weaker election result. The two co-chairs – for the Greens, both genders must be represented in the party leadership (so fa... read more

Why Did South Africa Give Up Its Nuclear Weapons?
*Robert Farley* *Nuclear Weapons, Africa* Apart from the Soviet successor states, which had only very limited control over the nuclear arsenals left on their soil, South Africa is the only country to develop, then renounce, nuclear weapons. *Here’s What You Need to Remember: *The region and the world are undoubtedly safer because of the decisions made in the 1990s to relinquish South Africa’s nuclear program. Why did South Africa decide to build nukes, how did it build them and why did it decide to give them up? The answers are largely idiosyncratic, although they may hold some ... read more

*Kris Osborn* *Hypersonic Weapons, Americas* A Congressional Research Service Report on hypersonic weapons explains that the speed and parabolic trajectory of a ballistic missile make it possible for ground-based radar to track its approach during the earlier phases of its flight. Possible Thunderbirds, Winged Enigmas, and Weird Flying Anomalies
These appear to be sightings of thunderbirds. The unusual aspect in a couple of cases is peacock like colors. everything else supports thunder birds. They need to be close by the ground to be scaled properly and this is what allows a thunderbird to be identified. Highher up we lose scale and merely see a vhawk or eagle and adjust accordingly. I do think I may have seen a juvenile and the description here supports just that.
