President Biden Says the Experimental Coronavirus Vaccines are Safe. The Vaccines’ Fact Sheets Say Something Very Different.
Adam Dick, null - 10 hours ago
[image: undefined] Via a Monday Twitter post, President Joe Biden made an unqualified assertion that the experimental coronavirus vaccines, which are not even vaccines under the normal meaning of vaccines, the United States government is encouraging Americans to take are “safe” for everyone. However, taking a look through the fact sheets for recipients and caregivers regarding the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna experimental coronavirus vaccines, available at the website of the US government’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, you find a very different representation. Biden Should Rethink the Navy’s South China Sea FONOPs
Mark J. Valencia, The National Interest - 10 hours ago
*Mark J. Valencia* *Security, Asia* The U.S. narrative justifying FONOPs is disingenuous. A recent piece in Foreign Policy advocated that the United States should not only continue its Freedom of Navigation Operations (FONOPs) in the South China Sea but enhance them and even declare them non-negotiable. Already two FONOPs have been undertaken under the Biden administration. But continuing them is a bad idea. U.S. FONOPs are arguably a violation of international law, a cover for freedom to spy, increase the risk of confrontation and conflict, are unwelcome by Southeast Asian state...

Counterfactual: What If Hitler Never Declared War on the U.S.?

What if Germany had never declared war on the United States during World War II? New RAND Paper Argues Government Control Of Health Care Pricing Will Reduce Costs Better Than Competition
Hank Campbell, Science 2.0 blogs - 12 hours ago
Rather than making affordable health care reality, the Affordable Care Act sent costs for many privately-insured people up as much as 700 percent. The federal government allowed insurers to pass through their new losses to everyone else and even with that, many insurers fled states due to the program being insoluble. Perhaps the solution is not to have people pay 700 percent more, but to force hospitals to be transparent about costs. And that would mean more realistic pricing without a reduction in quality. read more

WE WON'T GET WHAT WE NEED FROM TRUMP'S FINANCIAL RECORDS
Steve M., No More Mister Nice Blog - 15 hours ago
If you're hoping we'll soon see the downfall of Donald Trump in a Manhattan courtroom, you might need to temper your expectations. Terabytes of data. Dozens of prosecutors, investigators and forensic accountants sifting through millions of pages of financial documents. An outside consulting firm drilling down on the arcana of commercial real estate and tax strategies. That is the monumental task that lies ahead in the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal investigation into former President Donald J. Trump and his family business after a United States Supreme Court order on Monday...

Biden Launches Campaign to Silence Critics of Killer Vaccine
barovsky, The New Dark Age - 16 hours ago
Imagine if an ordinary working man went on a rampage and killed 929 people and maimed 316 others. The media would naturally call such a man a serial killer or a homicidal maniac. Now imagine if a big pharmaceutical company did the same thing by releasing a vaccine that killed and maimed a similar number people. Would the drug company be treated the same as the working guy? Would their product be denounced as a “killer vaccine” and shunned by the public, or would they be praised on the cable news channels, provided lavish funding by the government, granted full immunity from liability...

Africa: Will Africa ever get the COVID vaccine?
[image: Africa: Will Africa ever get the COVID vaccine?] FPA – Monrovia — With a reported death toll of more than one hundred thousand and more than three million reported cases, the African continent appears to be at the bottom of the pile of countries likely to receive vaccines for the deadly Coronavirus. Such disparity is driving concerns among regional stakeholders fearing the lack of vaccines at the disposal of the continent. In a statement last week, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation (MIF) said it is deeply concerned about the lack of vaccines available for African countries. Continu...
