The Disgrace of Maria Butina's Prosecution
[image: undefined] Some anti-Russianites and Trump critics are saying that the guilty plea by 30-year-old Russian citizen Maria Butina confirms that the Russian government was meddling in the 2016 presidential election. It’s true that Russia might well have been helping Donald Trump, who was committed to establishing friendly relations with Russia, defeat Hillary Clinton, who was committed to maintaining a relationship of anger, animosity, and hatred toward Russia. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that Butina’s guilty plea to agreeing to fail to register as a foreign agent establis... more »

Would The U.S. Really Lose In A War Against Russia And China?

Reuters *Franz-Stefan Gady, The Diplomat: **Would the US Really Lose a War With China and Russia?* A new study offers little evidence for its bold generalizations that the U.S. is losing its ability to win a state-vs-state war. Hechinger Report elevated my blood pressure with a story that is a near-perfect microcosm of the state of public education and, really, democracy in 2018. Looks like a fun guy.Paul Campbell is a successful business guy. He put in over a decade with Rolls-Royce in Indiana, rising to the level of VP of customer business. He put in a few yers with Capstone, a manufacturer of micro-turbines. But this unusual custom allegedly landed him in the hospital after the Zhangzhou resident complained of chest pains, tightness in his chest and a cough. Top Court Orders TEPCO to Compensate Voluntary Fukushima Daiichi Evacuees
The Mainichi is reporting good news for Fukushima evacuees, as Japan's Supreme Court orders TEPCO to compensate voluntary evacuees. In my 2 books on the subject, *Fukushima and the Privatization of Risk *(2013, Palgrave) and *Crisis Communications, Liberal Democracy and Ecological Sustainability* (2016, Lexington) I address the disastrous evacuations resulting from poor communications and unwillingness to cause concern by extending the evacuation zone, which was for months excessively limited for PR purposes: Top court orders TEPCO to pay compensation for voluntary evacuation from... more »

Cuba helps pay for the force since the The Bolivarian Militia is a gimmick to ensure popular loyalty. He was impressed by the violent tactics that the French jacobins had used to achieve their political aims.
