*-by Noah* When FDR's funeral train was making its way to his final resting place in Hyde Park, NY, a man who politicians like to refer to as an "ordinary American," famously said "I didn't know him, but FDR knew me." Judging the FDR quote in today's meme, FDR knew scum like Donald Trump and Paul Ryan, too, even though he never met them.

The "simple" amount that the winner is said to win is $250,000. But I should have studied the conditions more carefully. They reminded me of those and the winner actually gets $250,000 for tuition at a university of her choice, $100,000 for a lab at her high school, $50,000 goes to the teacher who inspired her. South Korea’s history making geo-political pivot frightens the US more than Kim’s weapons

Adam Garrie at The Duran - 11 hours ago
South Korea's President Moon has just met with China's President Xi Jinping. The meeting affirmed that South Korea is yet another traditional Asian ally of the US that wants to participate in One Belt--One Road. The implications however, go beyond South Korea's economy. The move could lead to an outbreak of peace in the region that the US is hellbent on retarding. *"America's Painful Self-Delusion"* by Allen Marshall "America is the only nation brought forth by a set of beliefs, and those beliefs, captured so eloquently in our founding documents, are some of the most powerful and inspiring ever conceived. We consider this to be the land of the free, where the individual is supreme and nothing prevents us from going as far as our talents can take us. That image of America – that “brand” – is incredibly strong. However, there’s a very large gap between that long-held image and the reality of America today.
