The Top Worst Media Moments Of 2021
*Becket Adams, Washington Examiner:* *The top nine worst media moments of 2021* It was not a good year for the national press. From the Chris Cuomo scandal to corporate journalists inventing stories about violent Border Patrol agents and Republican-led witch hunts, 2021 marked yet another lousy year in media credibility. Indeed, if 2021 proved anything, it’s that corporate newsrooms are perfectly content to burp out the same nonsense, make the same mistakes, embrace the same ignorance, overlook the same ethical lapses, and parrot the same partisan talking points that have made... read more

A Look Back on 2021 and A Look Ahead on How to Survive 2022
With the Year 2021 now in the rear-view mirror and Year 2022 lying in front of us, I want to take a quick look at what made headlines at Health Impact News in 2021, and look forward to what we might expect to see in 2022. As I wrote in our last article published in 2021, the roll-out of the COVID-19 "vaccines" and their reign of death and destruction was by far the main news we covered in 2021, the year The American Holocaust began. Of course the gene-altering bioweapon shots are just one component of the Globalists' plan to implement a "Great Reset" which includes crashing and re... read more

China Harvests Masses Of Data On Western Targets From Social Media
*Washington Post:* *China harvests masses of data on Western targets, documents show* China is turning a major part of its internal Internet-data surveillance network outward, mining Western social media, including Facebook and Twitter, to equip its government agencies, military and police with information on foreign targets, according to a Washington Post review of hundreds of Chinese bidding documents, contracts and company filings. China maintains a countrywide network of government data surveillance services — called public opinion analysis software — that were developed ov... read more

China Copied America’s E2D Hawkeye Planes
*Sebastien Roblin* *Security, Chinese IP Theft, Hawkeye, Asia* The Hawkeye is a vital C2 aircraft, used for command and control. *Key point: *Nonetheless, if the aircraft is in any way comparable to its U.S. equivalent, it does bring a substantial new dimension to Chinese maritime combat operations. China has launched a new carrier-operated early warning surveillance plane that will allow it to attack further from shore without relying on ground-based spy planes. The new aircraft, called the KJ-600, was “recently spotted in Xi’an, capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province,” ... read more

The 10 Worst And Best Things Biden Did In 2021
*Marc A. Thiessen, AEI/Washington Post:* *The 10 worst things Biden did in 2021* In my last column, I listed the 10 best things President Biden did in his first year in office. Here are the 10 worst (winnowing this list down to just 10 entries was extremely difficult): *10. He canceled Operation Legend amid a record crime wave in US cities.* At least 12 major cities broke annual homicide records in 2021. Yet Biden ended the Trump Justice Department’s Operation Legend, which deployed federal officers to aid local law enforcement and helped arrest more than 6,000 criminals. Now,... read more

"What's happening at the center of spiral galaxy NGC 5643? A swirling disk of stars and gas, NGC 5643's appearance is dominated by blue spiral arms and brown dust, as shown in the featured image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. The core of this active galaxy glows brightly in radio waves and X-rays where twin jets have been found. An unusual central glow makes NGC 5643 one of the closest examples of the Seyfert class of galaxies, where vast amounts of glowing gas are thought to be falling into a central massive black hole. Meet Russia’s Version of the A-10 Warthog: The Su-25
*Charlie Gao* *Russian Military, Russia* Combat experience in Afghanistan for the Soviet Union showed that that various aircraft were vulnerable to ground fire when conducting missions at low altitude. *Here's What You Need to Remember:* Overall, while the planes are broadly similar, one can see how the strengths of each plane diverge when looking into which subsystems are more developed. The Su-25 is one of the most visible signs of the Russian Air Force’s might. Since its debut during the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s, the Su-25 has seen service in every conflict involving So... read more

The Su-34’s Syria Performance Proves That Its a ‘Fifth-Generation’ Fighter Jet

"What We Owe To Ourselves..."
"That we can never know," answered the wolf angrily. "That's for the future. But what we can know is the importance of what we owe to the present. Here and now, and nowhere else. For nothing else exists, except in our minds. What we owe to ourselves, and to those we're bound to. And we can at least hope to make a better future, for everything." - David Clement Davies read more

"Centering Ourselves: Gathering Our Straying Thoughts"
*"Centering Ourselves:* *Gathering Our Straying Thoughts"* by Madisyn Taylor, The DailyOM "All too often our lives can be spread too thin and it becomes important to gather our thoughts and center ourselves to become whole again. When our thoughts are scattered in several directions at once and we are no longer conscious of what we are doing or why, it is time to center ourselves. When we center ourselves, we begin by acknowledging that we have become spread too thin and we are no longer unified inside. Our thoughts might be out of sync with our feelings, and our actions may be out ... read more

Life in the cosmos: reflecting on SETI
I have studied and listened and written extensively - in fiction and nonfiction, for most of my life - about SETI, METI and life in the cosmos. For decades I have refused to glom onto premature conclusions or *"Aha! This must be it!"* declarations. Though new information or insights by others can change how I rank-order the possibilities. In discussing the possibility of alien life, the UK Astronomer Royal, Lord Martin Rees, pretty much describes one of the plot lines in my novel Existence in this article: Why Intelligent Extraterrestrials are more likely to be artificial than bi... read more

Marianna and Clive tell us what to think
Sticking with this year's *Pick of the Year* with Marianna Spring and Clive Myrie I want to quote you three short discussions from it, just so you can get a sense of just how preachy it was. You'll hear them moralising about the racism that followed the Euros [how much was there really?], asserting that woke is a good thing and that some things - such as taking the knee - aren't up for debate - and that the slogan 'Black Lives Matter' isn't really up for discussion either. *On racism after the Euros*: *Marianna Spring* - I think the biggest conversation about online hate happene... read more
Pick of the Year
I wonder if Lord Blunkett and Libby Purves and Michael Buerk listened to today's *Pick of the Year* on BBC Radio 4. I think they'd have been appalled. If anything show's the station's sharp turn towards 'woke' this is surely it. It used to be a showcase for the width and depth of Radio 4's output across the year, intended to make you laugh and cry and think. This year it was almost entirely political, earnest and preachy. They weren't going to let us think for ourselves either. It was presented by Clive Myrie and Marianna Spring. They played Radio 4 highlights from across the y... read more
Five Epic Tank Battles We May Never Experience Again
*Peter Suciu* *Tanks, * These five tank battles were the ultimate showdowns. *Here's What You Need to Remember: *Fought in the opening days of Operation Barbarossa, the German invasion of the Soviet Union from June 23 to June 30, 1941, this has been seen as the greatest armored engagement in history with as many as 5,000 tanks engaged, and it resulted in the destruction of a significant number of the Red Army's operational tank force. Certainly, anyone who has ever played the video game *World of Tanks* likely has debated what is the "best tank," and the fact remains that there w... read more
North Korea’s New ‘Hypersonic Missile Is Not the Only Threat
*Sebastien Roblin* *North Korea, Asia* The KCNA news agency subsequently announced North Korea had successfully tested its first hypersonic weapon, the Hwasong-8 developed by its Academy of Defense Science, consistent with a claim made by Kim Jong-un earlier in January that his scientists had completed research into hypersonics. *Here's What to Remember: *U.S. and South Korean strategy in the contingency of a war with North Korea would especially focus on detecting and destroying North Korea’s liquid-fueled missiles while they gas up for launch. But if North Korea has indeed deve... read more
Russia's Su-57 Fighter Procurement Is Slow and Expensive
*Peter Suciu* *Su-57, * Russia's development of the Su-57 has not been without issues. That said, the jet is a well-armed and combat-capable aircraft. *Here's What You Need to Remember: *In December 2019, a Su-57 crashed and exploded during a training session in Russia's Far East. The fighter was believed to be the first serially produced Su-57, which was supposed to be transferred to the Russian Air Force that same month. In development since 2002, the Sukhoi Su-57 Felon is Russia's fifth-generation multirole fighter that could also be a key part of the country's arms export in... read more
How Lasers Can Protect the Average Army Grunt
*Kris Osborn* *U.S. Army, United States* Infantry units face the most incoming fire of any Army unit, often on foot without close-in armored vehicles offering protection. *Here's What You Need to Remember: *Lasers can be scalable, meaning they can either combine several beams or fire in more narrow configurations, providing options. The emergence of this defensive laser detection system, it seems self-evident, could also be adapted for soldier-fired offensive laser weapons. U.S. Army Infantry units fight door-to-door in Close-Quarter-Combat in high-threat urban environments, adv... read more
Reality Check for Marianna
One more post on this year's *Pick of the Year* with Marianna Spring and Clive Myrie... As I listed earlier, the first part of the programme rehearsed the usual subjects covered by the BBC's Disinformation Unit, with social media getting it in the neck over misinformation as usual. However, here comes another preachy passage from later in the programme when they discussed the 24 November migrant tragedy in the English Channel when 27 people drowned. They'd already played a clip of a *Thought for the Day* by Bishop Nick Baines where Bishop Nick had said, “The difference between ... read more

Biden admits his campaign was based on fallacy
Washington Examiner Editorial: With the new CDC guidance essentially acknowledging what we stated here earlier, that everyone in America is going to get COVID and there is no point in fretting about infections anymore, President Joe Biden has admitted that his entire presidential campaign was based on a fallacy. The only hope he had of defeating former President Donald Trump was to use the coronavirus against him, blaming Trump for the virus's spread and promising that he would "shut down the virus, not the country." After a year, Biden has spectacularly failed in keeping this pr... read more

Texas election audit finds thousands of non citizens registered voters
Epoch Times: Voting irregularities—including potentially thousands of votes cast by non-citizens and the dead—were reported during the first phase of the Texas Secretary of State’s forensic audit of the 2020 general election, but critics deemed it more of a risk-limiting audit at this point. The Texas Secretary of State’s office released its findings on Dec. 31, but the issues found are not enough to significantly impact 2020 election results of the four counties involved in the audit—Collin, Dallas, Harris, and Tarrant counties—which account for about 10 million people, or a thi... read more
Happy New Year, why is the ceiling leaking?
Finding a leak on New Year's Day is never good. Finding any repairman 30 years ago was expensive on a holiday, and today in 2022, it's probably impossible to get anyone but an answering service. So, when my husband called up from his man cave and said the bathroom ceiling had a leak, I thought I knew the source. The kitchen sink has a spray alternate inside the faucet. I suspect that's not a good design. Lately I'd noticed that the pull-out spray feature had a funny leak--it was spraying where it shouldn't. And I'd notice some water gathering about the base of the faucet tha... read more
