Remember The Swamp? Trump Fished Louis DeJoy Out Of It To Run The Post Office (Into The Ground)
*Can this crooked, rich, ugly man with an obscene watch give Trump 4 more years via the USPS?* Louis DeJoy personally contributed over a million dollars to the NRC and to Trump's campaign, $32,300 to the North Carolina Republican Party, tens of thousands more to Republican congressional candidates and thousands to official Republican Party committees in Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, Arizona, Minnesota, Iowa, Maine, Arkansas and Washington. That's all perfectly legal and he was then hired by Trump to destroy the U.S. Postal Service, which he's been busy ... more »
“New Little ICE Age Instead of Global Warming?” by Dr Theodor Landscheidt
Unlike the IPCC, which tosses its thermageddon doomsday date back and forth like a hot potato, researchers who track the multimillennial plays of the cosmos (namely those of the Sun) routinely land on the year 2030 as being the date of 'climate deterioration': this in itself should serve as compelling evidence. How riots fit in with BLM sympathy and support
A police officer is 18 1/2 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.” Heather MacDonald, via Larry Elder. With the media's assistance, the black men who have been shot by police--those in the news in 2020--have all had criminal records, have been resisting arrest, and had very serious records, including rape with robbery (several charges by the same woman) in the case of Jacob Blake, Jr. of Kenosha. Not a peep from the MeToo crowd who usually would ruin a man’s career based on a smack on the rear because the foun... more »

The Belarus Uprising: A Repeat of Ukraine?
*Russell A. Berman, Kiron K. Skinner* *Security, Europe* The United States should be prepared to act if Putin tries to repeat in Belarus what he did in Ukraine. America’s great power competitors, China and Russia, are pushing back against the free world. China’s arc stretches from Hong Kong and the South China Sea through the Himalaya border with India and along the Belt and Road intrusions far into Europe. Its debt-trap strategy on the African continent is binding ever more governments to it. Meanwhile, Russia continues its expansionism from Syria, through Crimea and the Donbass... more »

The Ugly Truth about China’s Crackdown on Its Uighur Population
*Sumantra Maitra* *Security, Asia* [image: Reuters] China faces no backlash from the Islamic world because the global spotlight is constantly on the West trying to order that ungovernable stretch of land for more than two hundred years. A curious puzzle in international relations that might one day launch a thousand PhDs is why the Islamic world is notoriously silent about the Chinese brutality of the Uighurs and, in general, about Chinese hegemony. Recently, a Turkish doctor examined around three hundred Uighur women refugees and found out that eighty of them have been sterilize... more »

New long-range ground-based ballistic missiles, air and sea-launched supersonic cruise missiles, and very quiet yet inexpensive AIP-powered submarines pose major new challenges to the carrier’s survivability in littoral waters, and their role in a high-intensi... more »

This incident would send America and South Korea into high alert, and could have spiraled into war. The American and South Korean soldiers went off to chop down a poplar tree. Instead, they were chopped into pieces by ax-wielding North Korean soldiers. And what should have been a case of routine landscapin... more »
The Top Antitrust Folklore Myths in America
*Mark Jamison* *economy, Americas* [image: Reuters] Unfortunately, conforming to the myths requires little thought, which means that the myths will persist. Sometimes antitrust seems like an evidence-free zone. As with any topic, some writers on antitrust are happy to announce their opinions without explanation or evidence. More troubling are those who support their opinions with arguments that are known to be flawed. These unsupported arguments take the forms of myths that, if repeated enough, become part of antitrust folklore. Here are three examples of such myths. Google CEO S... more »
New Black Hole Discovery Settles an Astronomer's Bet

One of the greatest things about being an astrophysicist is that you keep discovering things you didn’t think were possible. Now the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) and Virgo Observatory have discovered their largest black hole yet. It’s important because scientists had in fact doubted whether black holes of this mass could even exist. After months of painstaking analysis, the team has just reported their discovery in papers in the Physical Rev... more »

Trump moves to cancel racial sensitivity training because it is 'anti-American propaganda'

Just how do spoiled. children take it upon themselves to hit the bricks based on their scant education in so called progressivism? Scientists can’t explain puzzling lack of coronavirus outbreaks in Africa
Obviously the corona virus is racist or at least its propagators are remarkably selective. That is the best explanation suspected immediately in January. We may well never learn the truth but it does look like an act of war. Trust that the military knows. The question is by who? China has been clearly fingered but they are terribly sloppy. The other motivated suspect is the Deep State itself. Three Gorges Dam Flood Control limitations.
The major take home is that the reservoir has only an 8 % margin and cannot be used to actually store flood waters. It is a power dam that operates inside a narrow range. In comparison the Aswan has a 160% margin. To really do its job as imagined it needed to 250 meters high. Instead it came in at 175 Meters. Worse the operations have been privatized and flood control is a last priority at best. If we are lucky, this may make the dam far more survivable. Yet we do have a known record of rushed schedules leading to poor curing profiles as well. This year the dam got stress... more »
